Lovely cottage in a great location, comfortable and attractive, great for two couples. We all loved it.

For example, none of the TVs were functioning. Our rental agent, Lea, suggested that someone could stop by, but in the limited time we had available we were on the go most of the time. Although our first impression of the property's appearance was positive, there are some serious cleaning issues; for example, inside of kitchen cabinets and appliances. Among other details the yard needs urgent care. Finally, instructions about where to find what would be extremely helpful.

Shell Cottage - don't want to give a good secret away, but this property is wonderful. TV was tricky - need a note regarding how to connect - and the beds are not the most comfortable but are ok. Everything else is great! New dishwasher and stove were installed while we were there - and the hot tub was a great surprise!! We will definitely be returning again. Best yard for the dog too!

We enjoyed our stay at Shell Cottage! It was close to everything we wanted to do (bike rental, walkining trails, pony tour by boat, great restaurants). Kitchen was well equipped. The beds were comfy, as was the living room sofa. Our dog especially enjoyed playing in the big fenced yard. Four stars, because the dishwasher quit on the second day, but I'm sure it will be replaced for the next guest.

We chose Shell Cottage for the fenced yard, and partial water view. The pet friendly house is a priority for our two dogs. The house was decorated so very nicely, great beach theme. Very comfortable couch and chairs. Great furnishings. loved the upstairs bedrooms. Super cute. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Even though we brought home lots of steamed clams and fresh fish. It was nice to know we had all the utensils we may need. Rode bikes to the wildlife loop beach access everyday, about 5 miles. Then walked the beach. A really wonderful experience staying for almost a full month. Love the Eastside Road location. The folks at bike/outfitter shop were super friendly and helpful. The folks at the Resort office were great -and super helpful, and came right away when I locked myself out! Loved our time at Shell Cottage. Clean and comfy. Thank you so much for making it very pet friendly. everything was just wonderful!

Great time. Needs a new kitchen faucet and trash can that works otherwise very open and spacious.

Loved Shell Cottage! Great house layout. Loved the outdoor spaces. Easy access to boat ramps and all other activities. The fenced in yard was a big plus! In addition, Chincoteague Resort Vacations were extremely helpful in getting a new refrigerator in place when the old one died. Great service!

Shell Cottage was amazing! The cottage was really well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, and even coffee. I really appreciated the extras. The living and kitchen areas are an open floor plan with lots of light and space. Great for meals and socializing. The front yard was great for our dog to run around in. The back had a covered seating area with a propane grill and outdoor shower. The bathrooms and kitchen had liquid soap provided. We loved our stay. It was amazing. I can highly recommend.

Excellent for a small multi-generation family, including toddler and family pet. Shell Cottage inside and outside met all our Chincoteague vacation needs. Only the addition of a front or rear screen enclosure to protect from mosquitos outdoors could make this a more perfect experience. Thank you.

We had a wonderful week in the lovely, comfortable Shell Cottage. Plenty of room for the dogs to play outside and plenty of room inside for the 5 of us.

SHELL COTTAGE - wonderful house - great front yard for our pup - layout nice and lots of amenities - the beds could have been a little better, but acceptable - although the internet worked, it did not perform well for school Zoom calls - would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay over Memorial Day Weekend. The house was as-described and in a perfect location. We could see the ponies from our windows! We did have a bit of trouble with the A/C and refrigerator, but when we reported it to the property manager, they were at the house within 15 minutes and had everything fixed. Would highly recommend staying here!

We loved our time. Great location, great set up and an awesome fenced in yard for the pups!

The house had a beautiful open floor plan with a huge kitchen/dining room. (Plenty of room to cook family dinners). We spent most of our time on the back deck under the gazebo but be aware that there is another house directly behind this rental! Due to this and the use of surveillance cameras, we refrained from using the outside shower all week which is a bummer. We noticed an awful smell while doing laundry in the washer and then realized the washer had black mold. Overall, this place looks small from the outside but IT IS NOT SMALL AT ALL inside! The bathrooms are clean and updated and there is also a half bath between dining room and living room which was so helpful! Another tip: there is a house near by with a rooster... you can’t hear him fromInside but outside you surely can hear him let loose. To each their own 🤷‍♀️

We had a water view, a large fenced yard, and a huge kitchen! The outdoor shower was great! It was quiet and had lots of extra toys for the kids to enjoy. It was very clean except for a moldy smell in the fridge (no sign of mold though) and visible mold in the washer. But the rest was immaculate! We appreciated the pet friendly status. The mosquitoes were unbearable at the end, but that is no fault of the owners. We would definitely stay at Shell Cottage again!

Clearly previous guests did not follow through with the contract requirements of keeping pets off the furniture. We heard there was a housekeeping shortage on the island and we offer grace to this situation. However, there was a noticeable amount of hair on the furniture. Also, the utility sink drain was not hooked up. It drains right to the floor. That was an annoying surprise. The bathrooms were clean. The AC worked well! And we enjoyed the keyless entry :)

It was the perfect size for our family of 4, although we could have had a couple more people come. We loved the downstairs bedrooms, the large kitchen and the outside shower. It was also perfect for our dog, Koda, who was a rescue and is a little nervous about new places. Having the bedrooms on the first floor made her feel more at ease since she loves to sleep in the same room as us. The fenced in yard was also a plus although she doesn't really think about trying to run away. All in all, a lovely cottage and home that we would definitely rent again sometime. Thank you!

The front porch has a view of the Assateague Channel which makes for excellent bird watching. The house is well appointed and offers everything you need for a great vacation! The fenced in yard was fantastic for our dogs. My only complaint was the cleanliness, as there was a heap of what looked liked red velvet cake crumbs on top of the refrigerator, a huge hairball on the bathroom floor, and a leaf and foil gum wrapper on the floor in other rooms. Clearly the floors hadn't been swept and the cake crumbs were just repulsive. Aside from the cleanliness issue, the house is oustanding!

The house itself is picture perfect and true to form. Seriously top shape place -- my family would love to come back again. We visit Chincoteague every year.. and this place aces all of our stays.

We loved the space & seashell decor for this property. We've never seen so many conch shells in one place! We were inspired to search the beach for our own. The space was perfect for our crew. The kids had the upstairs bedrooms and adults had downstairs. The queen beds were a bit too soft for us, but we slept just fine. Description says charcoal grill, but we didn't see it anywhere on the property. There's a fire pit, but we didn't end up using it.

We stayed here for a family getaway for a few nights. We were quite happy here, and the fenced in year was perfect and secure for our dog to join us as well.

Over all the house was great. Close to what we wanted to do.
