The star of this property is the owners. Very inviting and approachable. I enjoyed the backyard watching the birds and other animals. The house has got a very comfortable vibe. Will will be back next year.

Sea Turtle Cottage exceeded our expectations. It was in the perfect spot for walking on the river, walking to eat again and again, walking to explore such a lovely town. Our hosts were amazing a d the cottage had a comfy bed, an excellent big screen tv with so many choices, and a never-ending hot shower. Book it whenever you can....you won't be disappointed.

Perfect location for us to visit this charming town! We thoroughly enjoyed walking through the beautiful neighborhood to enjoy the river just about a block away. Cute shops and delicious local restaurants were an easy 5 -10 min walk away, yet our cottage was very private and quiet. Hosts were very friendly, responsive, and kind. They provided bottled water and snacks, and a great list of ways to enjoy New Bern. We appreciated the cottage being dog-friendly. The off-street parking in front of the cottage made it very easy and convenient to unpack. The space is bigger and more sun-lite than expected. Great hooks by the front door! A small thing but thoughtful for guests. Thanks Ray and Chrystal for letting us stay in your cute and convenient cottage!

Asweome little cottage nestled in a quiet little street just a few blocks from the heart of town. The location is great easily walkable to lots of great food and many different historical sites. We were there for a family wedding and could not have been happier. Would recommend to any family or friends, and would stay again.

We had such a wonderful time at this place! It has everything needed to make it feel like "home away from home". Ray and Krystal were super hosts! We enjoyed the fire pit both nights (plenty of wood) and the hot tub was awesome too after we ran the Colors for Cancer race Saturday morning. We cooked out on the grill Friday night and had everything we needed to prepare the rest of our meal inside. Thank y'all for making our trip great! We will be back for sure!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful cottage! The home and amenities were clean and welcoming, and the hosts went above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary! The location can’t be beat and there are shops, historical tours, restaurants, and bars around every corner. We can’t wait to visit again!

This little cottage was perfect for my needs. It was cozy and spacious. Loved having it close enough to walk to the river, downtown, and the convention center. Would definitely stat there again. Loved being surrounded by greenery.

We had a great weekend and the cottage met all our expectations and more. New Bern is a wonderful trip back into a quieter time.

Our hosts were lovely people. The electric charger was a huge help to lessen our anxiety in returning home (small towns can be a challenge ) The property was so convenient and attractive. We had plenty of room and thankful the person using the sofa bed didnt have to go through our bedroom to get to the bathroom. Kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Sheets and towels were plentiful and comfortable. Hot tub was great after our MS ride and clean. Daughter said sofa bed was really soft and uncomfortable. We figured out the tv since it was US open weekend and we were happy ! If any future improvement is made I’d suggest king bed. We don’t usually stay at VRBO homes but we’d love to come back! Thank you so much !

Very well furnished and about every accoutrement one could expect. Washer/dryer. Keurig coffee maker. USB charger in bedroom. Very nice furniture and decor. Very clean. Wi-Fi. Loved it.

Highly recommend this spot. Location is awesome due to being able to walk to downtown and to the waterfront. The couple hosting are awesome and genuine people. We would definitely stay again.

This was a great spot, excellent location in a quiet neighborhood just steps from the waterfront and easy walk to town. The cottage was immaculate, well stocked with soaps, coffee fixings, and has a beautiful backyard. There are bikes to use, a hammock in the shade, a hot tub, and it’s pet friendly. The furnishings are very nice. We will definitely be back!

We had a lovely weekend in New Bern at the Sea Turtle Cottage. The hosts were so kind (it was nice to get to meet them at check-in!) and on top of everything, plus flexible with the check in/out times. The cottage is perfect for a visit - great location for walking around, and we really enjoyed getting takeout and sitting on the screened-in porch. The hammock was a great napping spot :) The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. (We chose not to do any cooking on our vacation, but we did see pots, pans, etc.). Thank you, we look forward to returning!!

This property is as close to perfect as it can get. I enjoyed every minute of the 18days I stayed in Ray and Chrystal’s cottage. When visiting my family in New Bern, I wouldn’t consider staying any place else.

Sea Turtle cottage was just as described, cool, clean, private, all amenities. It was close to town, very walkable. The screened porch and backyard were completely private and nicely landscaped. We love to return.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. A wonderful location to walk and enjoy the downtown and waterfront of New Bern.. the accommodations were great and the house includes everything we needed and more. Ray and Crystal were exceptional hosts!

My wife and I couldn’t believe how perfect this cottage is. The location is only 3-4 blocks away from anything downtown. Located in the historic district of New Bern, just walking through the neighborhood takes you back 100 years or more with absolutely stunning mansions and architecture. The people in town are extremely nice, the food from any restaurant is excellent, and the pace is slow and easy. Perfect for some R&R!!! The owners are very nice and personable, and live next door, so they’re usually immediately available if you need anything. We will return to this cottage again!!

Everything about this place was above and beyond our expectations. The cottage was very clean (even by my "clean freak" standards), with so many extras (off street parking, screened in porch, a beautifully landscaped backyard, bikes, fire pit, hammock, soft fluffy towels, snacks, and coffee. Ray & Crystal were the perfect hosts and offered great recommendations for things to do and see in New Bern as well as places to eat, drink, and listen to live music. The next time we visit New Bern we plan to stay at the Sea Turtle Cottage.

Everything about my stay at the Sea Turtle Cottage was perfect. I can't say enough good things about the owners and this property. From my initial contact with a question about bringing my two dogs, to the end where I was wished a safe trip out with a big hug, and everything in between was absolutely wonderful! The property is so well maintained and the extra touches both inside and out made my stay so pleasant. This cottage tucked in a side street steps from the water walk is the perfect place to enjoy lazy Summer days in New Bern. For the best experience of this town we like to stay along the historic neighborhood that borders downtown with all it's restaurants and shops. This house is in our favorite side, steps from the river walk for cooling off and within walking distance of all the attractions. The cottage is cozy, bright and well equipped with a lovely shaded backyard, a hammock, comfortable chairs and a fire pit. Crystal and Ray are very welcoming, and we thank them for hosting us at their lovely place.
