Perfect for our family of four. Loved having a washer dryer and room to spread out. Great walkable neighborhood and Robert was super responsive.

This place is great, particularly for the location and access to central DC. The neighborhood is walkable and felt safe, even at night. There were plenty of restaurants, though we got most of our meals from the Trader Joe's, which is located in between the Metro Station and the rental. (We didn't rent a car and were able to travel entirely by Metro.) The pull-out bed was great for our kids (8 and almost 12) but may be a bit tight for bigger kids. The owners have done a great job of providing storage and nearly every amenity you could think of.

This apartment was the perfect set-up for the 3 of us. It was comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, had all of the conveniences that we as travelers could want. When we had trouble with the City's parking website, our hosts immediately came to the rescue. We loved the neighborhood and found it to be entirely walkable. In short, we loved it!

What a wonderful stay! This two bedroom, updated basement has everything you could possibly need! The owner thought of everything! It was so clean and well kept. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive. Only a 10 minute walk from the metro station. So nice to come “home” to a residential area after busy days of sightseeing in the touristy areas.

We had a fantastic stay in DC. Robert's place was great, perfect for a family of 4. Easy walk to the Metro and ride shares had no problem getting to us.Robert was a good communicator and had some helpful advice on our time exploring a wonderful city. Looking forward to ouir next trip!

A wonderful rental in a great location with a caring and helpful host. The apartment had anything you would want or need on a vacation (except groceries although it did have coffee and condiments etc). Even parking permits and metro cards were provided! In fact this was probably the best equipped apartment we’ve ever rented. It was clear that the comfort and convenience of the guests were important to Robert and it showed. It was a pleasure to stay there and I highly recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay. The rental was very clean and had everything we needed. We were so happy to have the Keurig coffee supplied. Plenty of towels and a comfortable bed. Location was perfect. Easy walk to Metro and to Capital and destinations. We would highly recommend this property and will reserve a stay for our next trip to DC.

My daughter, her son, & I spent 5 days in DC. Property was as in the pictures, very clean & very well equipped. It is within easy walking distance of Eastern Market & the Metro, in a residential area. We hired Robert for an private tour of the Embassy Row area & thoroughly enjoyed it. His knowledge of the area & its history was impressive.

The unit, the location, and the friendliness of the owners make this place our preferred place to stay in DC.

Location: perfect. Amenities: too numerous to mention. Historic interest: 100%. Comfort: absolute. The owners have thought of everything for this space. We were pleasantly surprised to find filtered, chilled water and a lovely coffee when we arrived, such a gift after a long day of travel. Every corner of this sweet home has an interesting little vignette. We enjoyed the well-stocked table games. Add: sheets and pillows were super comfy. Glowing, five-star praise from us.

Property is located in a wonderful and safe neighborhood within walking/public transport distance to the major DC landmarks. The apartment is impeccably clean and the amenities were plentiful. The hosts were gracious and communicated well with us. All in all, we had a fabulous family vacation and this location played a major part in the memories we made in DC and we highly recommend this rental.

We couldn’t have loved our stay here any more! The home is blocks away from great food-the metro that takes you anywhere you’d like to go- and Robert was so helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. We had a car breakdown on our way and Robert fixed our parking pass for us! Seriously a clean home away from home!

In town for a grueling week-long conference and coming home to this sweet little place was a delight. I visited this time with a co-attendee and her SO, but hope to rent this place again with family. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Apartment was in great location and very clean and comfortable. Kids had fun with all the games available and the trundle bed. Very affordable and worth the stay. Would definitely book again when in DC.

The location was close to the capital and metro station. We was able to walk to most sites and catch the bus for the others. I enjoyed our stay even though I got confused on date and wasn't out by 11. I highly recommend this place!

My sister and I felt like we were coming home each day after being in the throngs of DC to an oasis. As soon as we stepped off the close Metro we let out a sigh of contentment. This a lovely and quiet space in a great neighborhood of DC. Owners live upstairs and are quiet and attentive but not intrusive. Very nice!! This is one I will return too.

Great location. Just blocks from the subway and only a few stops from all the capital area attractions. The Capital Hill row houses have so much personality. One of the best stocked rentals I’ve stayed in.

This property is in a quiet neighborhood and is a about a 5 minute walk to the metro station, several restaurants, coffee stops and stores as well as a Trader Joes. This made it easy to pick up anything we needed! The property was well stocked and lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!

This property was exactly as advertised. It was clean, extremely well-stocked (even toiletries and coffee/tea provided), and in a great location -- family-friendly, gorgeous neighborhood very close to the Capitol Building, Supreme Court and Library of Congress. The unit is within walking distance of the capitol building (a little less than a mile), a metro stop (about half a mile), and shops/eateries, and grocery stores (such as Trader Joe's and the Eastern Market). It was fun to stay in a place with such rich history. And Robert is a wealth of knowledge about the city, landmarks, and history. We scheduled a private walking tour with him and learned and saw so much in a few short hours. We had no difficulty parking our mini van with the pass provided and host was very communicative. Would stay here again!

Had a great stay at this rental. The unit is cozy and had everything we needed. The location is great as it is very near Eastern Market and the Metro. The hosts were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again when visiting DC.

We had a great 5 nights at this apartment for our DC spring break trip with our two kids (ages 11 and 12). The location was great, about 7-8 minute walk to the East Market metro. The apartment had everything we needed, and then some! Trader Joe’s is an easy walk, next to the metro station. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some meals. We loved being greeted by the RBG flag, and the history of the building is great to learn about as well. If/when we return to DC, we will gladly stay here again.

The unit is well furnished and comfortable. We are familiar with DC and are walkers and found it convenient to the metro at Eastern Market and to the Capitol/LOC area. Good guide books are available in the unit and host has prepared a notebook of valuable information. I would stay here again.

Overall the place was convenient and adequate, if you’re a very sound sleeper! It was well cleaned and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The furnishings are okay, if not super-comfortable. We appreciated the teas and yoga mat after long days walking around museums and parks. The host was responsive and accommodating on check-in. This is a basement flat and sadly there’s no sound buffer from the apartment upstairs (such as carpeting): a guest can hear the pet running around and every human footstep, early mornings and sometimes later evening.

Timely responses from Robert to all questions. Property was clean and well supplied. Great location for our excursions by foot, metro and car.

My daughter and granddaughter and I stayed in Robert's VRBO February 2-6. What a lovely place. Everything was fresh and clean and so many extra little touches. It was a little walk to the Metro and we called Uber and Lyft most of the time. Robert was an attentive host and even checked on us a couple of times to see if we needed anything! We didn't do much cooking there but we could have if we wanted. He had provided everything needed to make meals, snacks, and even had spices available and butter in the frig plus lots of wonderful teas. Everything was perfectly organized. I would stay there again and again. Thank you, Robert. You made our stay in DC really easy and fun.

This was the perfect spot for our family trip to DC. Everything was exactly as listed and if not even better! So many little cozy touches in every room. Plenty of space to hang together as a family or take some private down time. We played some of the games and even bought one we had a blast playing from the local game store as a souvenir. We ran into the host a few times and boy was he great! He knows so much about the city and we really enjoyed all the history and stories he had to share, of the property and the city in general. Saving this as a go to location if we get to plan another trip to the Capital city again! Absolutely fantastic experience all around! Thanks for sharing this gem of a place!

We had a great time visiting DC during Spring Break. We are family of 4 with 2 kids ages 5 and 9 and felt the accommodations were great. Everything was well stocked from utensils down to bath accessories and the location couldn’t be beat! We took the Metro to see the sites, and there was even a playground nearby for our kids to enjoy. Also, lots of dining options were within waking distance. We will definitely be back!

My girls and I had so much fun overall exploring DC. The location of the apartment is perfect! We primarily walked or rode bikes the whole time we were in town and were able to easily get around and be where we wanted to be in minutes!

The location, right outside of Eastern Market and within walking distance of the Capital, is perfect if you are planning a visit to the Mall area (and the proximity to the Metro makes getting anywhere else fairly straight forward). There are many great choices of restaurants within a five minute walk and perusing the stalls at the weekend outdoor market is a great activity. The place itself is very nice, clean, well layed out and well provisioned. Only drawback is that since it is a garden/basement level apartment there is not a ton of natural light, so I would recommend it to people who are looking for a place to stay while they plan to spend most of the day out of the apartment. We would definitely rent again if we are in DC again.
