The pictures of this property (and the mountain views) are beautiful, but the real life experience is out of this world. I hope we can return, we enjoyed every minute! We did have several bear encounters, so please be “bear aware” before you get there. And fair warning, those bears can open car doors, so keep cars locked at all times. Once we got used to the bears being in such close proximity, we did enjoy seeing them!

Everything went as expected. If we had to be nit picky it would have been to cut down some of the overgrowth by the fire pit, maybe get a gas grill and have firewood on hand for the fire-pit. The house was perfect size for 13 of us. Didn't feel cramped and everyone enjoyed the games in the game-room. Absolutely stunning views!!!

Our overall stay at Royal Vista cabin was wonderful! The location was perfect! Away from Gatlinburg traffic, w/in 15 min. of Food City, and a back way to get to Dollywood. We loved our visit to Dollywood & made use of the free pass offered by Bear Tracts. The cabin itself was clean upon arrival. The bathroom fixtures were clean & nice quality towels, but there were some good cobwebs in the corners of the main floor bath & a small lizard hiding in an upstairs BR. Other than that, we all had a great time while we were there and enjoyed all the amenities the cabin offered!The communication with the vacation rental management staff was very helpful on arrival in locating bedding for sofas. However, after checking out, I found out our daughter left a drawerful of clothes at the cabin. I called Bear Tracts and spoke with an understanding person who asked me to text her the exact location of the left clothes. She would give the information to housekeeping & let me know as soon as she heard back. I kept in touch with housekeeping, calling every couple of days to check on the status of the clothes. At one point, I was told by housekeeping that anything left in the cabins would be taken to the office & put in Lost and Found, which gave me hope. Unfortunately, I was never contacted by anyone from Bear Tracts again until I sent an email & a text to the hosts about 5 days later. They did get back to me that day & said they would reach out to housekeeping again the next day to follow up. Two days later, which was a full week after we checked out, I received a response that the inspector & cleaner reported nothing was found in the drawers at the property. I understand we were the ones who left the clothes & that is our bad luck. However, what concerns me the most is, since there is a procedure for handling items that are left behind, why weren’t the clothes in the Lost and Found? We KNOW clothes were left behind so, “What happened to our clothes?”

Only thing was there was an awful smell going down to the game room. It wasn't bad when we first got there. Today when we left tho. It smelled awful and had our bedroom to the right of the steps smelling awful too

The house was beautiful! Everyone made the check in so easy, will definitely use this company again!

The driveway is horrible all of our cars scraped going on and out, the main roads is not the easiest to find. The cabin was cleaned for the most part however there is a let of cobwebs on the entry table and fans. The beds downstairs are very uncomfortable. The cabin itself is beautiful with wonderful cries we enjoyed our time there.

Our family had a great time! The leaves and views from the house were breathtaking! Got to see a small black bear the last day. That was fun. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

We had a very good time at this cabin. It is a very pretty cabin with a great layout and plenty of space inside. Matt was quick to respond to a question I had, so that is always nice. The game room and firepit were also very nice. And they are not kidding - the view is FANTASTIC!
The location is good in the sense that you are close(r) to things to do, but FYI for anyone (like me - sensitive to noise) looking for a very quiet mountain retreat: this might not be the place for you. Every day/night you can hear traffic from down below and, at night, I was able to hear neighbors (voices, music, etc.). This would probably not be an issue for most, but it is definitely not secluded in that way.
This is a great place for large gatherings who are probably noisier/more active anyway. :)

Had a great time with family during our stay. Had a great view. Only a few things that needed attention. Day we arrived grass around fire pit was very high, didn’t want to use fire pit because of this. Someone came the next day to cut around it. The hot tub needed attention, color of the water was not appealing, no one used it. Suggest getting a new one! Could of been cleaner on deck around house, needed to sweep, knock down spider webs etc. Definitely bring extra garbage bags! Trees around charcoal grill definitely need cut back for fear of catching fire! Overall had a good experience.

We had such a good stay here. It was a girls trip, we loved we all had our own room and bathroom. The cabin was so clean, and the view is amazing! We would love to come back with our spouses and kids soon! Would be sooo pretty at Christmas!

The cabin was spacious for our family. The view was great, had a visit from a bear. The home does need a deep cleaning. There were quite a few cobwebs, filter in kitchen faucet needs to be replaced to allow proper water pressure, windows needed to be clean, and there was an hairball left in one of the tubs. It would be helpful to have a info book detailing the use of the games and household equipment and TV remotes. The main floor bedroom needs to have curtains to provide privacy. Overall the stay was a wonderful family getaway and you cannot beat the view.

Absolutely breathtaking views! The cabin was as described and pictured with basic amenities provided in the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. The game room was super fun with billiards, digital pinball machine and 1000s of arcade games - perfect for all ages. There is a very user-friendly app that provides instructions and guidelines about the property and what to expect that was helpful. The upstairs AC was not working properly at first, and with one phone call, they had someone out to fix it the same day. They even called the next day to check in and see if things were ok. There were chairs around the fire pit, just have to bring your own firewood and s’mores makings. The hot tub was clean and in working order. The grill is mounted in the driveway and can’t be moved; a little close to the tree line and overhead branches, but usable if you bring charcoal. We had 9 people stay over 8 days and had plenty of space for each family to enjoy. It was relatively easy to get to, but GPS did try to stop one home too early. It was helpful to have each property gate labeled. It is an extremely narrow and winding road up the mountain, with a very steep driveway to get in but totally worth it. We took advantage of some fun attractions including white water rafting, hiking in the mountains, sky lift park, Titanic museum, Ripley’s Believe It or Not, the Aquarium and so much more. We didn’t have enough time to check everything off our list and would certainly come back to do it again.

Amazing views. Great, quiet location. Wonderful, spacious cabin layout.
Overall, we really liked the Royal Vista cabin. We had 11 adults and needed a place that didn’t get the majority of the bed count from bunk beds or futons - somewhere that would fit our sleeping accommodations. This cabin fit the bill and then some. From the game room, to the giant dining room table, to the large decks on two stories - there was plenty of space for family time, but also plenty of space to get away if needed.
Waking up and going to sleep with those beautiful views was the best. Plus we got to see bears.

Truly a great rental! We absolutely loved the dinning table, all 15 of us sat around it together & still had room to move. Spent everyday around that table together eating, playing games and just being together. Rooms were great, lots of space and the view simply stunning.

The rental met all of our needs, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Everyone of all ages in the group enjoyed the gameroom, video machines and the pool table. We had a few hiccups with internet access but that just made the kids put down their ipads and enjoy vacation.

loved the cabin, clean, good views from the deck. check in was easy, no issues with the MC,and the fire pitt was a great touch. nice place overall the only down side was the mattress ....they are old and uncomfortable. i would rather sleep on a air mattress than on these again and the pillows were no better. we have rented similar cabins the last 3 years in the same price range and they ALL had high quality bedding except this one. if the bedding was high quality i would rent again.

We traveled from Orlando to meet our family from KY and IN for a long weekend. When my mother was recently diagnosed with cancer she immediately requested a family trip to Gatlinburg, her favorite destination. Our favorite thing about the house besides the view was the table and kitchen. We could have too many cooks in the kitchen and we could a gather at the table for meals, games, and conversations. We loved the fire place and the kids loved the game room. We will carry the memories we made all our days. We plan to return someday.
My only suggestion is arrive before dark for check-in.

The cabin meet our needs for space. The bedrooms and baths were what we needed. The large dining room accommodated our group. That was the good part of our stay. Moving on to the negative adoects. The kitchen was sub par, rugs in the living are would help keep the furniture from moving. We usually stay in Gatlinburg for Christmas, our cabins, in the past have been decorated beautifully, this cabin had one flimsy tree with some lights out. The general decor was just a hodge podge of misc.stuff. the downstairs remained a cool 58 degrees most of the stay. The cabin was not clean when we arrived. Dead flies in the window sills, light fixtures and bedrooms. Everything was dusty, spider webs around front door and in bathrooms. It literally takes no time to run a broom around doors and walls to remove. A very disappointing rental. I spent a lot of money for a poorly kept cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone in our party had a blast. Really appreciated the quick responses from the owners. He came out of his way one night to bring us more silverware, that’s good service. Very spacious and fun for the kids and adults. Short drive to dt Gatlinburg. We were able to see a momma bear and two cubs. The best was the coffee in the morning with the best view I’ve ever seen. We appreciate letting us stay.

We enjoyed our stay this weekend. The cabin was spacious enough for 15 women to get ready to go out, cook, eat, and visit. The kitchen could be stocked a little better, and a bed or two might need to be replaced. We alway enjoy being together in the mountains!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location and views were fantastic. The property was clean but the glass doors in dining room were very dirty, looks like those were missed by housekeeping. Would recommend a little extra seating on main level. There were seven adults in our group but only seating for six. Another chair or loveseat would fit in that space. Also, a handrail would have helped on upper and lower stairs. Overall, great stay, and would recommend to a friend. We were visited by a mama bear and her two cubs 30 minutes after our arrival.
