It was a good place where to spend 2 days with a friend and relax at Kendwa Beach.

Power cuts meant no electricity, water, wi-fi or a/c. noisy show and roof. back up generator didn’t work

The ladies at the restaurant were very nice and welcoming. We also enjoyed the evening dance shows and the swimming pool.

The misinformation on the website threw me off. We had the idea the hotel was right at the beach. I booked a triple room knowing there are 3 of us. Only to be made to pay an extra USD40, merely because we didn't change the search from the default 2. I found that so unthoughtful and sneaky.

Thanks to the manager, Azhar who gave us a room upgrade. He also helped us with some valuable information about Kendwa beach. Location is perfect and the stay was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this place!

we stayed there for 4 nights. the hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was rich. we faced problem with air conditioner and because it was not fixed, they changed our room and put us in a better room. we would happily stay there again.

Really enjoyed our stay here, the staff especially those on reception were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodated our needs. The rooms were huge and cleaned daily which was nice as we always came back to fresh bedding. Over all really enjoyed our day here, the location was great and if you don’t mind a bumpy road or too for the price you get.

We had a little trouble with the temperature in the room as it fluctuated up and down, not sure if it was just the heat of the day. Unfortunately for most of our 4 days here the pool was out of action which was quite disappointing considering we had a pool facing room so it would have been nice to spend some time in it, that said the beach was only a minutes walk away.

Price and staff

It’s a cheap place so I guess you can’t complain much but it is still very bad. First of all they don’t accept credit cards to pay for the room, second their rooms are big but super dated. The worst of all of course is the AC that someone doesn’t work during the day, but works like crazy at night and while there is a small fridge on the pictures there’s none in the room. The location is on a dirt road but the beach is close.

Really nice staff:) especially Joyce the waitress! The Pool is really relaxing. Good price for what you get. Really close to the beach. The rooms are quite big with a cute terrace. I HIGHLY recommend this place!

If you ever come to Zanzibar and you wanna feel the full African vibe, feeling close to the locals, know they needs, not just to be a selfish tourist who’s coming here to make some nice pictures …. the best place to stay !!! You stay with them in the deep of the culture … lovely people one by one !!! Highly recommended by me !!!

The staff was amazing! Any problem or question we had was solved and answered. Also everyone at reception and in the restaurant was extremely friendly and nice! Great value for money.

Nice pool, good location

The hotel is well-situated in Kendwa not far from the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful during check-in and check-out.

The room was fairly basic and had a glass door opening very close to the eating and restaurant area; sound made it through this door very easily, which became a problem because of the dance/theater troop which performed with very loud music (and screaming sounds) until late both Friday and Saturday night, making it difficult to sleep.
