The rooms and property are beautiful and every staff member was super friendly and attentive. The only downside is if you leave the property and take a walk on the beach you are hounded by people trying to sell you crap. One guy literally followed me for miles. I would go back in a heartbeat but wouldn’t leave the property.

The property was EXACTLY as it appeared on the website. Beautiful grounds, including the spice garden. HUGE bungalows and being surrounded by beautiful foliage. Clean beach and easy access to the ocean. Great staff. Two blue monkeys resident in the trees. GIANT African snails all over. The food was so good. Menus changed often and I was there for one week. Accommodating staff make arrangements to see things away from the property such as tours of Jozani Forest, Stone Town and Prison Island to see the giant tortoises.

I could not rate it overall a top score because one element spoilt the total experience for us.
The beach is white sand, with clear waters, but certainly not relaxing much of the time. With good reason the beach is not private. Given that it is one of the best on the island, therefore there are a lot of passing visitors. The hotel does restrict them from coming in to the property. The issue is the conveyor belt of hawkers trying to sell. They stand looking at the guests on the sunbeams, and as soon as you go for a swim, pounce on you. Add to this, impromptu african dance routines (again looking for tips), and jet skis. A great beach for people watching, but not the best a lot of the time for total relaxation and to enjoy the beauty. Not, I would stress the hotels fault. We felt that the whole threat of over tourism is a big problem on the island and needs to be addressed urgently by the Government.

The hotel is very beautiful. Most of the people working there are very kind. The garden and beach are fantastic. The spice tour was really interesting and done by a very knowledgeable person. The food was very good.

Zero hygiene at the breakfast kitchen. They handle eggs with used gloves , and their ‘clean ‘ plates had broken egg shells stuck to them. Service is slooooowwwwww. If you ask for milk, sugar and coffee - that’s 3 trips for the waiter .

Zuri Zanzibar is INCREDIBLE!! 5 Star service, stunning setting, perfect beach, wouldn't go anywhere else in Zanzibar, we have done other resorts, with both incentive groups and privately, This is by far the best resort in Zanzibar! We will be back!

The food was delicious - especially in the a la carte dinner restaurant and overall the service was great.

Very, very nice! I've seen a fair share of high-end resorts and I can attest with confidence that Zuri truly is awesome! We stayed in a bungalow - it is very comfortable, clean, spacious, the terrace is lovely - facing the ocean and situated on a hillside so you catch the ocean breeze. The outside shower is amazing - you can see an attention to detail at every step. The resort has an abundance of tropical vegetation - a veritable garden of Eden! The food is pretty good but can get a bit boring after the 3rd day or so. The beach is very nice - just like in the pictures! The difference between high and low tide is small so you can swim all day. Overall - very nice and worth the money!

This property is amazing, it’s low key but stylish, highbrow but not ostentatious, it has everything you’d ever need. the staff are incredibly friendly and always available.
if there was 1 complaint, it’s not so much about this hotel, but so many hotels, why when you travel across the world do you want to eat the food from your own home. Tanzania has an incredible history of cuisine and cultures, it would be nice to see those honored in a hotel of this caliber. people can wait a few days for their fish and chips or hamburgers and pasta.

It was great the hotel looked after me well. In particular a gentlemen at front desk called Ramadan was brilliant he knew I was short on time and helped me experience a great break. The property is beautiful and location superb. I wasn’t impressed with the food but other then that 10/10.😎

Beautiful! This property is just magnificent. We were greeted warmly and given every bit of courtesy. The food was out of this world. Each meal was an experience in itself. Really, I can't say enough about the excellent food!! The rooms were wonderful and it was so nice to have our own detached little place! The terrace was great to sit out and watch the sunset or practice my yoga in the morning!

My husband and I had an amazing time at Zuri Zanzibar for our honeymoon. This resort is gorgeous! From the moment you arrive at the wooden gate, everything is beautiful and uniquely designed with not a detail missed. I have to admit that the section of the beach that Zuri Zanzibar is the best that we saw compared to our neighbors to the right and left. Everyone was friendly and service was truly above and beyond. Definitely want to shout out both Lydia's, Revacatus, Sombwe, and Chidi who were amazingly friendly, they were so much fun to talk to, and they really took care of us during our stay. Our room was gorgeous with a beautiful ocean view, I still very much miss the outdoor shower and lemon grass scented toiletries. The food was great too, fresh and plentiful. We appreciated how easy it was to book excursions (thanks Hamad!) and all of the special touches that came along with our Honeymoon Package. All in all, I would highly recommend Zuri Zanzibar, you won't regret it!
