Our girls group had a wonderful lake weekend. The house is perfect; clean and convenient to grocery store and restaurants. John was extremely helpful and available for questions when needed. We loved the “Boat House” waking up to a beautiful sunrise made our day. Would definitely stay again.

We rented for a three day weekend and did not want to leave! The house was beautifully decorated and perfectly situated on Lake Norman. Our property manager John was incredibly helpful! We will definitely rent here again.

John is a fantastic host with a wonderful property. I look forward to booking this property again in the near future!

My family loved staying at the Raven’s Nest! Great location, beautiful home and great for families. Lake Norman was also great and we'll be back!

Our family of 7 (5 young adults 18-23) stayed with us for 2 weeks at this beautiful property! We had an additional couple join us for 5 of the days. Amazing features: 1) Windows with views of the lake from every main living space and 3 of the sleeping spaces 2) Great location on lake for exploring the lake! We covered a lot of the lake by boat during our two weeks! 3) Enough seating indoors and outdoors for 7-9 people at tables and to spread out for lounging! 4) We cooked most meals at house - Publix 3.5 miles away, 2 refrigerators/freezers was so great! Great dishwasher, plenty of plates/silverware and all the pots/pans, utensils that were needed to cook for so many, with lovely views! 5) Beautifully constructed and maintained home inside and out 6) AC and fans kept main living spaces and boathouse cool and comfortable even in 90+ days 7) Quiet neighborhood, perfect for families 8) John (property manager) is very responsive 9) House and linens were spotless! Small notes: Great if you have several couples since there are 4 very comfortable king beds! However, 2 twin beds in loft require very steep ladder to get up and down and even with the AC and fans it was too hot to use. Wound up using air mattresses we brought in main living room. 2) Dock is stationary and boat lift was not functional and posts don’t have cleats so trying to tie off boat was a challenge. Small things in an overall amazing property and wonderful memories!!

The overall impression is was nice however I have a few comments for the owner that I believe are simple enough items to address: It is advertised with a loft area and two beds in the loft. In order to make it tolerable up there they NEED to get air conditioning in the space. The ceiling fan does not do the trick and to be fair it is a useless space because it is so hot. They desperately need new pots and pans and glasses for the kitchen. If you plan on renting a boat while at the lake the lift is broken and there are no cleats on the dock to tie a boat to. They have a nice fire pit area but no tools for the fire pit. The lawn was mowed the day we left so we dealt with overgrown the week we were there. The house very much needed more than a superficial cleaning. The home was not as clean as it should have been for arriving guests. Overall a pretty set up but these items should be addressed by the owner. The loft area especially. We expected to use that space and nobody in the family was able to tolerate how hot it was up there so we ended up doubling up elsewhere.

Everything from checking in to checkout was easy. The property was gorgeous and was the perfect place to hang out with friends and family. I only wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The property is beautiful, you could spend your entire stay on the back deck and dock. Having the additional boathouse is fantastic. If you are looking for a family vacation spot, this is the perfect property.

Our stay started off great with attentive communication with the property manager. The house felt like home with a lot of little touches. It's beautiful and comfortable. The views are amazing. All the beds are very comfortable, plenty of seating for our family of 8, and a well equipped kitchen. The house has a huge pantry/laundry room that is not shown in pictures with plenty of counter space and another full refrigerator. The large kitchen table was perfect for nightly games. The back deck had loads of seating and a table that sat 8, all in perfect condition and Trex material. The outdoor kitchen/grill area was so nice to cook in every night. The dock was relaxing to sit on with more Trex seating although it looked practically new, there were lots of spiders and webs so come prepared to brush off furniture daily. Those buggers work fast over night. The Boat House was so cute. A special hideaway with a large bed, small breakfast table and full bath- great views. Although the house and property were amazing, John the property manager really made this stay. He was so accommodating and prompt with responses. And renting the boat through him was so easy and was the highlight of our trip. We completely recommend renting this property!

We rented the house for my daughter’s bridal party to stay with her the night before the wedding, for the hair and makeup professionals on Saturday, and for the bride and groom on their wedding night. Even though we had a cloudy, rainy day the numerous windows (with an awesome view) were perfect. John was wonderful to work with (sorry you had to call about the street parking and hope we moved the cars quickly enough - just had a bit of confusion.) I would definitely recommend this house for a lakeside getaway.

Great place to meet with family from all over. Plenty of space to spread out and a perfect meeting area that we could all enjoy. Lots of beautiful outdoor space to enjoy the lake.

The Raven's Nest was first class all the way. If you need a house that sleeps 10, I would strongly recommend the Raven's Nest. Everyone was very impressed with the design, layout and furnishings in the house. Appliances were new. My only complaint was that we didn't stay longer!

The house was exceptional and exactly as described. There was plenty of space for our family of 8 enjoy and the outdoor space was private and functional. John did a great job coordinating everything. I look forward to staying there again.

We had a lovely, relaxing weekend by the lake! The house was roomy, comfortable and immaculate. Loved the big kitchen!

This property was absolutely beautiful and very high end. All the windows allow for great views of the lake from inside and the massive deck and firepit area allow for relaxing by the lake outside. The house had all the amenities we needed for our stay and was very clean. Loved the fact that we could rent the pontoon boat and have it right there at the dock. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. We had a great time and highly recommend this property. We will definitely be back!

The quality of everything in this house is top-notch. The master bedroom is huge; the two other king-bed bedrooms are good size; the loft with 2 twins is open, so any noise from the first floor does carry up to the loft. The boat house, while separated from the main house, is a great little suite. The large dining area and kitchen with gas stove and double-ovens and a good selection of pans, dishes & serving dishes makes meal prep very enjoyable. The outdoor spaces (deck and dock) have plenty of seating. Lake Norman is so beautiful and great for all water activities. We can't imagine a better place to stay!

I will keep this short and to the point. This place is wonderful for a lake vacation. The view is fabulous, the home is open and spacious , well decorated and supplied. The location is perfect, about 3-4 miles to Publix. We rented the pontoon boat from John Bounds and this was so convenient having the boat on premises for our entire stay. John also manages the house and is very responsive. We were able to catch some nice catfish and a couple of bass. The next door neighbor is really nice. If you are looking for a really nice place, quit looking and rent this one. If you read the previous reviews, they will tell you everything there is tell. Also, the boathouse is a 4 1/2 stars. Everybody wanted it, so we had to draw straws. The eldest daughter and her husband won.

It was just my husband and I along with our 8 year old twin girls so we only used two of the bedrooms but everything was laid out great and super clean. The separate boat house is wonderful as well. We were able to rent the boat for the week as well from the property manager which made for a great week. Tons of outdoor furniture to be able to relax on as well.

Rental was clean and as described. Our extended family had a wonderful week. The lake was clean and not crowded and the home was well maintained. Property manager was very responsive and easy to work with. Would recommend.

Our group enjoyed the property immensely. The relaxing dock and great interior spaces kept our crew entertained. We boated, paddle boarded, fished, floated, and enjoyed the porch swing for hours. The separate boat house was a great touch and all of the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend!

The property is fantastic. The deck and dock were incredible with the best furniture - not only on the deck but on the dock as well. Nice flat spot as well in the backyard for corn hole boards we brought along. The house has 3 bedrooms with king beds and a loft with 2 twin beds. The loft is over the kitchen so make sure whoever sleeps up there is okay with getting up early to people milling around in the kitchen. The boat house has a bedroom with king bed and a full bath. This is helpful to know before you go on how to organize people - who stays where. The kitchen was great and the dining area held everyone comfortably for dinner. Two great lounging areas with TVs that we never turned on :). Best sunrises right from the master and boat house bedrooms. It truly is a fantastic property and we had a great time!

We enjoyed sunny days swimming in the lake, evenings fishing from the dock, and even some nights observing lightening shows from the safety of the home through the big beautiful windows. The provided lake toys, floats, kayaks, and paddle board were amazing. I think we had the most fun on the paddle board (definitely a new family favorite). I appreciated the gorgeous home appliances and custom cabinetry throughout the house. Not only was the sub zero fridge excellent, but the additional fridge/freezer in the mud room was so nice. There was even a fridge in the outdoor kitchen area, but we didn’t need it so left it alone. If staying in the included boat house, it’s like having your own hotel suite. It is truly gorgeous. I would love to stay here again. My children were sad the morning we left. They didn’t want to leave (and I certainly don’t blame them).

We loved this property and its location and would love to stay there again. The only problem was that the house was listed as sleeping 12 and it slept only 10. It would also have been nice to know that the fourth bedroom and 3rd bathroom were in the boathouse.

We had a wonderful time at Raven‘s nest! The views were beautiful! Location location location! Our family had a wonderful time! We thoroughly enjoyed the dock! Swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and boating. We were very thankful to use John’s pontoon on two occasions and had a wonderful time out on the lake! The neighbors were kind enough to lend us their child’s kayak which my six year old grandson loved! Lake Norman exceeded our expectations and we will definitely return….

Father's Day weekend… 4 dads, 4 daughters, 4 days, unforgettable! John was very responsive & easy to communicate with. The house accommodated all of us & renting the pontoon boat & tube was the perfect weekend.
