We were celebrating my wife’s birthday with friends. We booked your rental and had a great time. It was just enough out of the way to be nice and quiet and provide us with beautiful scenery, but close enough to Duluth and the North Shore that it was easy to do the things we wanted to do. Second time to stay over Thanksgiving holiday. Great kitchen to cook in, although oven had issues which I’m sure owner has solved. Lighting to knit and quietly read is poor, bringing a reading lamp next time. Other amenities are great. Still wish stool in master bedroom bath was more than a child’s size, hard on an old lady with bad knees. Quiet location and river view is great. Very clean

This was a group of men that wanted to fish. There was plenty of room for the boats and for all of us. On 2 nights there were 6 men and the rest of the time it was 4 nights. It was very easy access to the property and to fishing. We go to Duluth every summer as the women run the Grandmas Marathon, and the guys go fishing so we are familiar with the area and absolutely love it there. The host were extremely kind and very easy to talk to. We will definitely stay with them again if the rental is available. Very relaxing and very accommodating! Good stay, nice property.

Very comfortable for the 6 of us that stayed. We were exploring a lot so really just spent evening there but was a pretty area and nice and quiet. Liked that everything was stocked like the shampoo/conditioner/soap. We also ate at a great breakfast place up the road called the Trophy Cafe.

We enjoyed our stay, the accommodations were good for the elderly as everything is on one level. The scenery was tranquil and not much for traffic in the area. We would do a return visit.

We really enjoyed the location of our stay. We would definitely recommend to anyone!

The 4 of us ladies had a wonderful time and loved the location and home. Close enough to get to attractions and shopping, yet felt secluded. Fabulous home and accommodations. We'd love to come back!

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was spotless, super comfortable and plenty of amenities! We LOVED the location right near Jay Cooke State park and the cabin itself has beautiful views. The major drawback which would prevent us from renting again was the terrible wi-fi and lack of ability to watch Netflix or any other streaming. You have to watch everything through their very very spotty hot-spot. It was incredibly frustrating, especially since it was cold and rainy while we were there so we were hanging around the cabin and staying in on the cold evenings. That would be the only thing we did not like, otherwise we loved the cabin!

We had a ‘superior’ stay at this Superior VRBO! It was by far the best equipped — kitchen, bedrooms, etc. — we’ve stayed in a long time. The host was also very accessible and amenable to my ‘high maintenance’ needs. I would return!

Family and friends girls weekend to celebrate 2 milestone birthdays- 30 & 50. The house was perfect. Open living space with lots of seating. Everything you need and more!

Tom and Nora were great hosts. Really appreciated their help for the snowstorm that affected our stay. Thank you both, we had a good time and a nice stay.

The whole experience was just delightful and easy. The house is beautiful--the setting is unbelievable, inside is comfortable and has everything you could need. We were there for a couple of cold days and we were super snug inside. We didn't use much internet but didn't have any issues either. We came with two families--two couples with a total of four kids--and there was ample room for us. Nora has an amazing toy selection for the littles, even organized by developmental age (!), and a chalkboard outside. We came for snow and found very little, but we still had a great time and there's plenty to do in Duluth and up the coast. And Nora and Tom are lovely--very communicative and helpful. Honestly, we all wanted to stay and live here.

Had a great time staying here. A perfect place for our family stay with grandma. Will plan on going back. Thanks

The host were very nice. This VRBO was great. Location was perfect and away from all the tourist and a beautiful spot. It was like being at home. Will recommend to our family and friends.

The house was perfect for what we wanted to do. We went fishing on the river and explored Duluth which is about 20 minutes away. The view of the river from the backyard is gorgeous and my son enjoyed laying in the hammock and just relaxing. The house is comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our getaway. Nora is a wonderful host and we will be back!

Just 30 minutes away from downtown Duluth, this is the perfect home away from home. My family enjoyed this so much. Spectacular view, quiet, nature all around you, plenty of places to visit within a short drive. Honestly, I couldn’t think of something that could’ve made our stay better. Nora and Tom were THE BEST host on the entire VRBO network. They deserve a prize with how great they are. Easy access trails all around, 15 minutes away from Jay Cooke state park and wonderful dining all around. Props to you both for having such a beautiful home in such a nice place. We will be returning for years to come. To everyone wondering if you should book this: DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT TWICE! We have a little one and they had everything ready to use. Even outlet covers! High chair, stroller, toddler cups bowls and even cutlery clean and ready for use. Honestly, this was by far the best experience we’ve ever had.

We rented this property for travel for work. The location and property itself were ideal for us. Nora the owner was very helpful. Our work plans changed and Nora was very responsive. Highly recommend.

place was nice a few improvements would make it better we had 6 adults in our party one of the queen mattress need replacing and another couch or chair in the living room would be nice for 6 people to lounge otherwise we had a nice time oh and the info seemed to indicate you could get to the river from the property but you can not

Great stay. Plenty to do in the area, house was clean and had everything we needed. Beds and house climate were comfortable and owners were responsive to messages (they also left their contact info for any immediate questions).

We enjoyed our 4 day stay at this house. It was well furnished with everything we needed. Nora & Tom were both very helpful with getting us set up on the Wi-Fi & helping with the heat & fireplace. It is such a quiet & secluded area which was so relaxing. Would certainly stay there again next time we are in the Duluth area. Thanks Tom & Nora for sharing your VRBO home!
