A home from home…. Great view across the Tamar… very comfortable beds… couldn’t work out how to work the oven but we ate out every day anyway 😅

Great location, the whole cottage was fab. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Loved having a enclosed back yard for a pooch to stretch her legs.

The parking is a little tight, but wouldn’t stop us staying again.

The location was a few minutes walking distance to the local pubs , grocery store and fast food areas, which is why I chose the area. The view was spectacular and the kitchen stocked with pans, plates etc. The upstairs bathroom appeared to be recently updated and was very pleasant.

Unfortunately, when entering the home there was a strong pungent odor which was in the main room bedroom as well as in the hallway and entrance downstairs. We have an idea of things that caused the smells as this is a pet friendly property, as well as seeing some mold growths in the bathroom and hallway. We went upstairs and the bathroom appeared to be updated nicely and looked very pleasant but the shower windows were not cleaned near the sink. No biggie, wiped it down rinsed the shower and moved on. However, I then noticed the sink had soap on the right side that was an old used cracked bar of imperial leather no other soap provided and on the left a 1/2 a bottle of liquid soap which smelled like dish soap. Additionally, no shampoo in the shower. The soap and shampoo are little things but big when you have none. On the way out an hour later I was going to use the downstairs toilet and before I could use it I had to clean the inside and top as it appeared that some had a bad tummy in there. However, after I had cleaned it I realized the same mess was on the outside of the toilet. That lead me to believe that perhaps someone had a bit to much to drink and did not reach the toilet. There is parking in front if you get lucky enough to find a spot. I did my due diligence on reading reviews and I also read the guest book while there and unfortunately they just don’t match what we got. Not sure why things were so different for us. All in all we paid non-refundable for 3 nights and left after day 1 and paid for alternative accommodation for the remaining 2 nights. I travel 1-2 weeks a month for work and additionally throughout the year for leisure so I stay in all levels of places but this was basic stuff that just should not have been missed.
