The property had everything we needed for my parents, siblings and our kids to come visit with Family! The house fit everyone comfortably, had everything we needed to keep us entertained with games, outside attractions and plenty of fishing. we loved the big kitchen for meals at home! The only time we had to leave was to go to the grocery store which is conveniently close for the area. We will definitely be back!

This is our second year coming and we love it more each time! This time in addition to the continued amazing views were the unexplored amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub, and the weather was great so we could sit out and enjoy the sun a little afterwards on the top deck of the dock space. They had great kitchenware for all the meals we prepared, lots of items to use. And the space offered privacy while also being close enough to a few stores we could get some spare items we forgot. It is very spacious and with the group we took, we had more than enough beds for afternoon naps. The little touches such as labeling where all the items were made this trip even better than last year. We look forward to coming back again year after year!

We love this home this was our 2 year and we are schedule for 2024 . The owners are so sweet thay are very accommodating as we had to make changes at last Minute. And they work with us. We highly recommended this home it has ever thing you need to be away from home .

This place is amazing. This is our second year at this property and it is awesome. The house is clean, well put together and the owners are super nice people. They have done many upgrades and plan to improve the property even further. Highly recommend if you want a quiet, relaxing and affordable place to vacation with family and friends.

This vacation at Sunset Paradise was one of the best family vacations we have taken. The house and property location was magnificent! Everyone just loved floating and playing in the lake right in front of the house in a beautiful secluded cove. The paddle boards and kayaks were extensively used. We enjoyed the pontoon boat rental as well for sightseeing the lake. The house was perfect for our large family with a well stocked kitchen, game room and large areas to spread out. The owners were amazing to work with and such a pleasure to speak to. There was not one negative to mention and we will definitely book this house again in the future!

If I had it to do over, I wouldn't change a thing! Location is terrific, kid and pet friendly, all the toys you need on site, fire pit and wood right there, huge hot tub, and all the amenities you would expect and more inside the house. Our group of 9 adults and 4 children rated the experience as terrific and we made wonderful memories we'll cherish forever.

This property is perfect both inside and out! We really enjoyed the beautiful lake front location with plenty of kayaks and paddle boards. The house had everything that we could possibly need. We're looking forward to booking again for another family reunion!

My husband recently retired and we moved back to NC. We have 1 daughter in Virginia and 3 daughters in North Carolina so this was the perfect location and perfect house for our family. Nicole and her team have thought of everything to meet our needs and make us feel welcome and comfortable during our visit. There was plenty of space indoors and we have never stayed at a house that was so well equipped with every necessity. The outdoors was a blast and our weather was just about perfect so we certainly enjoyed all the water activities throughout the days and the fire pit every evening. Best of all, after 45 years of working my husband was able to go throw his fishing line in the water multiple times every day whenever he wanted. This house could not have worked out better and Nicole was terrific to work with.

This house had it all. Great location, wonderful amenities, awesome kids room. We will be back.

Our family of 16 people enjoyed the most memorable vacation at Sunset Paradise. This was the first time our entire family has been together in a year and a half. Sunset Paradise's accomodations we perfect! We had 8 children all under the age of 12. The loved the kid room over the garage. Each bed had it's own light and tray for devices, books, etc... All were the same so there was no fighting. The large couch converted into a mat which was perfect for the girls to show us their latest gynmasic moves. Us older kids had more fun playing pacman and madden on the gaming system. We had two days of rain but that did not interfere with the fun. We enjoyed movies, games, craft time, the hot tub and fishing off the dock. We caught some good size bass too! All of the bedrooms had comfortable bedding and pillows. All adults agreed the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with nice, new equipment. (We cooked 3 meals a day for 16 people so all of the kitchen tools were being used.) The outdoor setting was beautiful. We used the fire pit all day long and through the night on our first and last days of the vacation. There was plenty of wood available. The kids loved the water trampoline! The kayaks and SUP boards were a hit with the adults and oldest cousin. We really can not say enough good about the property!! Our plan is to come back the same time next year.

It’s a beautiful house. Very peaceful. Nicole was super responsive. Just as other reviewers have noted, this house has all the kitchen stuff you could ever want. We had a lovely time.

Had a lot of fun, definitely plenty of activities for adults and children to do to keep entertained, just a little bit of a drive to a grocery store and a minor issue with the hot tub needing some attention, but other than that it was a great place to stay.

The perfect getaway!! If you are looking for water front luxury with plenty of space this is the place. Myself and 8 of my friends come to Sunset Paradise twice a year and absolutely love it. The home has everything you could need for an amazing get away!!

What a great experience we had! We had our entire family together at thanksgiving and the entire experience from registration to checkout was great. All cousins loved piling into the bonus room with the 5 double beds. The owners are very responsive (had hot tub issue), kitchen was well stocked, loved the 2 washer/dryers, pool/ping pong tables were great and enjoyed great conversation by the fire. One of the best houses that we have ever stayed in!

The house was clean, lovely and sleeps lots of people. The kitchen is well equipped. The house has so much fun included...lake swimming, boat rental option, paddle boards, kayaks, trampoline and a hot tub! The game room and garage add even more options to your entertaining options, pac man, pool, ping pong... The extra fridge in the basement and the ice maker were super helpful for our early Thanksgiving gathering. the owners were very responsive and helpful.

This house made for an amazing spring break for our group. The sandy beach and waterfront provided hours of entertainment for both kids and adults. The house allowed us all to enjoy a lovely week together. Thank you!

I would definitely revisit this house. The property was perfect and the house was amazing. Property manager very responsive. Everything you could want in a relaxing trip.

We were pleasantly surprised with the wonderful lake views and ample space in this home... the pictures do not do it justice. The home was very clean when we arrived, although it would have been nice to have the front light on and the heat turned up a little for a warmer welcome (not a big deal). We only needed 2 bedrooms, but there were plenty more if needed. The firepit, sundeck, kayaks, and big back yard were are great outdoor perks. The kids room, with its many books and games, was a nice indoor bonus. We enjoyed our time here, and would definitely book here again for a lakeside retreat; but we would suggest the following upgrades to take this home truly over the top: 1) replace the cool white bulbs with warm white - no one feels welcomed by sterile, office lighting; 2) find a way to fix the creeky floors - guests easily wake each other by simply walking around; 3) provide propane for the gas grill, wood for the fire pit, coffee pods, paper towels, and garbage bags - these are minimal expenses that provide a lot of convenience for guests; and 4) try to find a way to bump up the internet speed if possible - with a lot of guests using the connection, it can quickly get overwhelmed. That said, we think this is a fantastic lake home, and we look forward to returning again soon.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for a long MLK weekend with 4 couples and 11 children ages 6 and under. The house was PERFECT for all of us and we can't wait to do it again next year. They thought of everything when it comes to organization and supplies and was a dream for occupying so many children with ease! Highly recommend for extended families and friends.

We loved our stay on the lake. There was more than enough room for 4 adults, 6 kids and 2 dogs. The dock was so fun. We used everything...kayaks, paddleboards, trampoline, pool table, ping pong and firepit. The house is very well set up for lots of people to have their own space. We will for sure be back, but will remember to bring more things for the kitchen...like salt and pepper and spices. Thank you for sharing your home with us...we would for sure recommend this to others.

could not have picked a better property, suited for 4 generations of family members, wonderful amenities, we had a few minor things that needed fixing and the owner got on it immediately, sent Steve over, he was also great, and everything was fixed! would love to go back at some point! thanks for making our reunion so special

We finally stayed in a house that has a well stocked kitchen, with sharp knives! The neighborhood was great, the view was awesome! We had rented the boat for the week and everyone enjoyed going out several times a day! Great location for children too.

The property is exactly as described. It was clean and well supplied when we arrived. The beds are comfortable. We have children between the ages of 11-24 and a 2 year-old grandchild, and all were very happy with everything provided.

For years we would rent a house at the beach then our Daughter-in-law suggested trying Lake Gaston last year. This is our second year and it couldn't be more perfect. The house is wonderful with many thing included to make it the best, most relaxing vacation. The owner, John Muse is so accommodating and nice. This will be our summer vacation spot for years to come!

We loved our stay at the house! Our boys jumped off the deck hundreds of times throughout our stay. We all enjoyed the amenities kayaks, paddle boards, hammock, pool table and fire pit! We caught a 30lb catfish and loved seeing the giant turtle each morning. We really loved that we basically had our own private cove. It was great for the kids to go off on their own adventure without being out of sight. The house was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed for the week. The lake house can easily sleep 3 families. The beds and linens were quality and very comfy! Great communication with the owner - we plan to come back with a bigger group in the future.
