My father was coming to town to help with a renno project we have going on two block's up from this property. I was so glad we found something in our neighborhood that was comfortable, clean, and wonderfully appointed. The owners REALLY care about their space and live on site. The sofa best was west elm which shocked me that they would have something so nice for a rental ! The cleanliness was the best part for us, no dust balls, nothing felt grimy or dusty, very fastidious. The LOCATION!!! Doesn't get better than this folks, take it from a local ;)

This is the second time we’ve stayed with Mark and Amy, and we’ll definitely be back soon! This is by far our favorite place to stay on Capitol Hill. The apartment is very clean, the kitchen has everything you need, and the location can’t be beat - close to Eastern Market, the metro, and the Capitol. Highly recommend!

This was ideal for several days visiting the museums, historic sites, and government buildings of the Hill and Mall area with an energetic 3rd grader. Its location allowed us to walk to every place on our list and then take the Metro home at day's end. The apartment itself was comfortable, pleasant, and well-equipped, and the owner-host gracious and helpful.

What’s not to love ? Charming apt., near Metro and Trader’s Joe. Quiet , clean and bright. Lovely neighborhood .

We loved this apartment! Great location to restaurants and Eastern Market. Quick walk to the Meteo that we used the whole trip. Neighborhood was beautiful and the neighbors were friendly. Mark the owner rocked! Had great suggestions and was quick to help if we had a question. If your reading this...book this place before its gone!

Super clean and convenient to the Metro. The apartment was big, bright and airy. All beds deemed great by the family. Mark and Amy were lovely and helpful hosts and quick to reply to all our requests. Delightful, homey neighborhood with easy access to restaurants and Trader Joes. We will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to DC. Couldn't be happier with this little gem!

The property is in a great location for us. Very convenient to Eastern Market Metro. Walking distance to many restaurants as well as grocery store, Trader Joe’s, pharmacy, anything you may need while visiting! The owners are very nice !

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this classic Washington DC town home. It's located on a beautiful, quiet street with a short walk to all the dining options you could ask for.

We stayed at this apartment for 5 days as a family of 3 to visit DC. The size was perfect for us, it was spotless and bright for a lower level apartment. The location was easy - located near a trader joes for shopping (there is a kitchen), lots of restaurants, the bus stop was easy for getting to the museums and mall, and there was even a playground for our kid. Highly recommend!

Took our teens to the DC area for the first time. Great communication with Amy and Mark and great place to stay- the couch and the air mattress worked well for the teens and the bed was comfortable in the guest room. Nice short walk to the metro and a short ride to the National Mall. Would stay here again- great stay, thank you!

We had a great stay. We used the subway a lot and this apt was just a short walk. We were comfortable and had what we needed.

I have stayed in a lot of Capitol Hill basement apartments but this one is the best so far! Very clean and quiet, in a nice part of the neighborhood with everything nearby. Nicely decorated with lots of little extras that make it feel like home. Would definitely stay again.

Mark and Amy’s place is situated on a beautiful tree lined street in the Eastern Market neighborhood with restaurants, coffee shops and Metro stop a few minutes away. Capitol, Supreme Court and library of congress were all within walking distance. The place itself was well appointed. It had everything we needed. Bed and couch were comfortable, shower was great which is a huge plus for me, plenty of towels, and 2 types of coffee makers with complimentary coffee. So, very happy with accommodations but what really stood out was when we needed to print out an eleven page document to sign and send back immediately, Mark was very happy to help us out! Hugely helpful!!! It Would have eaten into our vacation day, so grateful for his assistance!! I would highly recommend their place. Really terrific

We loved this cute, clean apartment in easy walking distance to Eastern Market metro stop and the National Mall. Host was responsive and helpful. Excellent coffee makers. Simple check in and checkout. We would definitely stay here again!
