Great room and food

Right on the main steep road.....extreme noise by 4:30 am. Ear plugs required.

We made a mistake with our booking and the hotel went to great ends to find a way for us to stay another night, even though we hadn't booked it. They put in new beds for us in the only available room and saved our big trip to see the butterflies. They were incredibly understanding of our mistake, and very communicative and helpful, even though we spoke no Spanish.

Staff were all lovely. And helpful with advice to get to the mariposa reserve I wanted to visit. It's freezing at night and they gave me extra blankets (I definitely recommend asking for extra blankets) The hotel is very pretty with lots of flowers everywhere and lovely mountain views.

I found the mattress extremely hard and uncomfortable

It has a cool fireplace in ti....but they wont turn it on for less than 200 pesos

Far walk uphill from town. Pricey breakfast. Advertise a fireplace but said we wont turn it on unless you pay 200 pesos. Silly just include it in the price

Amazing stay! so comfortable and clean! it was lovely, the room was perfect with the mountain view and some local shops close by. I fully recommend staying here if you want to see the butterflies. :)

Everything was perfect, there was nothing bad.

We came with a car to visit the butterfly sanctuaries, and spent a night to be able to arrive at the entrance to the Chincua reserve at 9 am. Breakfast was quite good and served at around 7:45, so we reached Chincua at 9:15.

1. No WiFi connection in our room (#17) 2. No heating so it gets really cold in December. 3. Couldn't get much sleep because of dogs barking all through the night. It might sound harsh, but the main reason of staying here was to visit the butterfly sanctuaries, so if I were to do it one more time I would consider stay here again.

This is an excellent place to stay when visiting the Rosario Monarch Reserve. The staff is very friendly and the beds are comfortable. There were plenty of blankets on the beds and plenty of hot water.

There is no heat other than a fireplace that you pay extra for, which we expected, but even in November the rooms were chilly. The restaurant in the hotel was not open, so we had to go up the street for food.
