Fantastic location staff was very helpful

We travel 6 to 8 times a year and this has been one of our top 3 stays in the last 10 years. It was perfect.

Very well located and comfortable. Great pool. The Stadtbakerei across the Gansemarkt is an excellent and economical breakfast venue. Servicing of the room was a bit erratic.

I recently stayed at the Marriott expecting a refreshing getaway centered around enjoying the pool. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a major disappointment. While the hotel boasts a premium price tag, upon arrival at the pool around 11 am, I was informed by staff that it was unusable for cleaning until after 4 pm. This significantly disrupted my plans for the day, as spending time by the pool was a major reason for choosing this hotel. Disheartened, I decided to use the gym as an alternative. However, the gym was small and poorly equipped. To add to the disappointment, the pool area itself was poorly maintained. The water dispenser offered not only lukewarm water, but also rancid-looking cucumbers floating inside. This was not what I expected from a supposedly high-class hotel. I brought these concerns to the front desk, hoping for some form of follow up but no one did. At the check out, they offered a 10% discount on my bill, which felt dismissive. I wasn't looking for a discount, but rather an acknowledgement of the inconvenience and some effort to improve my stay. Overall, my experience at the Marriott fell short of expectations on multiple levels. The unusable pool, the small and poorly equipped gym, and the inattentive service in addressing my concerns were all significant drawbacks.

Clean room, good drinks at the bar, would definitely stay there again.

generally very good. Only concerns were that the swimming pool was very cold and one pf the reception staff was quite rude when I asled for help.

This is my second time staying at the HAMBURG MARRIOTT ABC Strasse. The hotel is doing well and although it has been around for a long time it has a new feeling as it is kept to a really high standard and is really clean and comfortable. This hotel is really well situated in a very nice area of Hamburg very close to any attraction that you want. I will always stay at this hotel when I visit Hamburg.

Top hotel with the perfect location

The pool was closed for maintenance and this was only communicated a few days before arrival. We were offered to use the pool at a hotel few minutes away which was fine but having to walk with clothes etc in the rain was irritating. The hotel should have informed us much longer in advance so we had the option of cancelling and choosing a different hotel

I loved the hotel, the staff and the location. It was really a great stay. Breakfast was great, excellent choice and very nice to have breakfast in peace. The only thing that could have been better was the temerature in the room. This was really to warm througout the whole stay.

Staff were friendly and well trained. Very helpful with any queries. Breakfast was excellent especially the omelette station.

Everything was great besides that the rooms old dated and not worse what it costs . Location, staff , Lobby, Bar and service was fabulous . Rooms are bad Thank you

We came from Marriott in Wuerzburg where everything is brand New so you Can imagine that the Hamburg branch seems a bit worn out. The bathroom worked well and we prefer this setup rather the the Modern one in Wuerzburg. However the room urself could need New curtains, New carpet and New decor. It does Seem a bit outdated, but the location of the hotel is fantastic and everything was clean and Staff were Nice.we would come back but would Welcome an updated room:-)

Excellent hotel

I've spent 3.5 months in Hamburg, due to needed documentation and this is the 6th hotel in that time, as well as the best from those. Very large and bright rooms. I swam laps in the pool almost daily. Excellent and central location. Lots of stores, close to the train station, as well as everything in town. Walk to the Alster.

The employees were really helping customers.

The room we stayed in showed clear sign of wear and tear with various holes in the bathroom walls and curtains. The decor was a 1970’ies style with brown and yellowish being the predominant colours. The hallways were the same. It had a slightly grubby look to it. For the price we paid, I’m sure we could have found something nicer

Excellent location. Easy to walk to stores, restaurants, and ti get transportation. Nice and quiet neighborhood.

The hotel was in a great location and the lobby area was pleasant. Breakfast was very good with lots of options and fresh food. However, the hotel is in dire need of a renovation. It looked as if nothing has been done to the rooms since the 90's. The beds were about 160 cm (too small for two adults), the carpets stank, wall paper peeling from the walls and very worn furniture. Suprisingly low standard for a Marriott. Would probably not stay here again with out a hotel refurbishment.

Nice hotel in the centre of Hamburg. Room was spacious but I'd prefer wooden floor. Breakfast was great and staff excellent.

No AC and the windows were locked. We were told upon checkout that we could have called to have the windows opened / unlocked and fans brought up to the room. It was 10° cooler in the hallway. Everything else was fantastic. Great location, walking distance to so much!

Delightful experience. The hotel is in the sweet spot between restaurants, cafes and shopping. The rooms are well- appointed, comfortable and the service excellent. The restaurant food is delicious and the staff make you feel very welcome and make you want to visit again!!

We have been in this hotel several times. Great location in the center of Hamburg, minutes away from shopping options and the Christmas markets. Nice reception and friendly staff. Room was good, however I did not find the bed comfortable. Breakfast was good with variety of options. We did not use the swimming pool this time. Last time the water temperature was too low.
