The windows facing directly onto Spencer Street, with its traffic, trams, and trains directly adjacent are only single glazed so good luck getting good rest with that background noise. Further the aircon is akin to the noise on an aircraft. The room design and decor is that of a low end, older budget hotel, not one that claims to be 4.5 star.

Awesome upgrade but unfortunately I wasn’t around c long enough to enjoy it.

Great hotel. Close to trams and train station with bus to airport. Very convenient for travellers.

The receptionist was unwelcoming. She almost seemed bothered by serving us. Parking was included in our stay but they insisted we come in before being given the details for parking which was not very logical. The shower gel was empty in the shower. The building is beautiful but rooms are in need of touch up eg scuffed door frames and skirting boards.

Really comfortable stay. Food was lovely and the cocktails were even better. the bed was really comfortable and the staff were friendly. Breakfast wasnt my favourite but theres a lovely cafe opposite that does avacado on toast etc.

A Grand Dame with beautiful character and a prime position to explore the City! The fragrance daily in the Foyer smelt amazing and the Staff friendly and efficient. A beautiful few days break in Melbourne and highly recommend.

Perfect location. Close to Southern Cross station for bus & train services. Easy walking distance to CBD and tourist attractions. Hotel was perfect fir us. Room spacious, bed comfortable, coffee machine a bonus, great inroom cleaning, quick lift and friendly welcoming front counter staff.

As you stepped into the hotel, you got the most beautiful smell. We had booked into another hotel which was disgusting and left us sick to the tummy, so asked for a refund after one night, then came to the Savoy. What a vast difference. Thank you for a lovely, clean room for the 6 nights that we spent there.

The room was well located for all experiences, our only issue was the shower overflow spread out to the bathroom quite easily.

Hotel is losing its lustre. Dated building, poor fit and finish. No longer in keeping with the times. Disappointed having selected for my stay in Melbourne. Only pro is the close proximity to Southern Cross Station.

The Savoy is an old world charming hotel with a beautiful lobby & friendly helpful staff. Located across from Southern Cross train station it is an easy 10 min walk to CBD, theatre, casio & restaurants. Rooms are spacious, comfortable bed & clean bathroom.

Everything about the property was amazing from the staff, decor, ambiance etc. I could only give the rating of four and a half out of 5 because the bathroom door room 819 needed maintenance. Not important, i know, however, needs attending too. Other than that, the Savoy is a place we would definitely come back too.

Very conveniently located for travellers as it is just across the road from southern cross station. Friendly and welcoming concierge staff made check-in smooth and easy. Stunning historical building with art deco interior stretching out from the entrances, the lobby, the lift and to the room. The only down side was that building is old so the sound seems to travel between the rooms mostly sound of tv or conversations but was at tolerable level. Overall we loved staying here for 6 nights of our Melbourne trip - would love to stay here again!
