This is a stay you only make out of absolute necessity. If you need a semi-clean place to rest your head while driving on 75 and no where else is available, this place MAY be ok. We arrived at 1:45 to realize no one was working the front desk. A very sweet lady did eventually emerge but informed us that she was simply covering for a colleague and was not authorized to use the computer so I had to wait until the owner who lives on site to get my room key ready. The hallways are spooky, dirty, and smells disgusting. If you imagine a scary movie set in a hotel- this is your scene. The room had a dirty odor, the sheets were stained and disgusting, and the bathroom didn’t drain. But we didn’t see any bugs and the floors were swept. So it at least was sufferable.

We didn’t mind the property upgrades, but they put us in our first room, the smoke detector was off the wall wrapped in plastic, when we pulled sheets back there was hair, and lint on the bed and a stain that went through the sheet to the mattress pad… got moved to second room, thanks to good customer service by the night attendant… that room was good, but no toilet paper in the room! Someone needs to retrain cleaning staff…

Horrible experience, no soap in the public bathroom, rooms didn’t have a phone or remote control for tv then we switched a room and it had dirty sheets, toilet didn’t flush, bathroom door didn’t close and part of ceiling was coming down, to it all off a human public hair in the sheets when the rooms status was “clean” horrible service and will never be back there and I absolutely don’t recommend to you or anyone!

The pool was under construction but was not advertised as such and was one reason I reserved the room. Disappointed.

Yikes! Renovation is understandable and believe us, this place desperately needs it. However it should probably be done in a manner that doesn’t leave guests feeling unsafe or uncomfortable. Even the newly “ renovated” room we were assigned was so badly done it made us uneasy about security and questioning eating the breakfast. You can be as friendly as humanly possible and pour on the Southern hospitality/charm but it won’t cover up the poor conditions and amenities that leave guests too afraid to use. Exterior doors that didn’t latch//lock. Room drywall was a mess and paint so thick it clogged vents. New flooring uneven, already cracking and not covering all the way to wall. Pool water was green and hot tub murky. Sinks in the hallway. No table lamp and one obnoxious bright white wall sconce for the whole room. The worst Best Western we have been to by far and we are surprised that they are not concerned with branding with this one.

Never again! Booked this property because it had a pool for the kids and a hot tub for me. Even at check in, huge LED sign out front advertising pool and hot tub. As soon as we checked in, we headed straight to the pool. I walked straight over to the hot tub. Jets were not working and the water was cold! Not only that, almost all of the pool furniture was broken! Some not only had missing screws, but other pieces had screws sticking out of them. Super unsafe. As for the room itself, it was ok as a whole. I know they are remodeling, but they have a long way to go. Towels and bedspread had stains on them. The promise of more towels never happened. Do yourself a favor and don't book this hotel! Stay on the WEST side of 75 in Richmond.

Remodeling till very late at night and no clean towels. We had to go buy our own. Manager never contacted us back.

No soap in room, at check in. All else great. They brough soap when we called.

You expect sleep, safety & a chance for a clean shower. All three were missing here.

We arrived around 11pm first walking in they are doing a remodel But it definitely looks like the remodeling is taking its time... hallway was filthy... BUT we got to the room mirror wasn’t even on the wall we went to look around and I noticed hair on the bed. But at this point we weren’t gonna be able to travel any further because we were both tired. Everything looked clean at first. But not when you looked closely the bathroom door wouldn’t even close shut because the door didn’t fit the frame. Luckily it was me and my boyfriend staying but the photos of this hotel are definitely not photos of the hotel we stayed in the hotel was definitely a dump in my opinion. Hence after sleeping on this bed overnight my boyfriend said there was no way the sheets were clean he said he could smell human body odor on the pillows and is pretty sure nothing was washed on the bedding it was just reset for the next customers hence I was really grossed out by that and I barely got any sleep due to a smoke detector beeping low battery all night. I’ve always had good experiences with the best western brand but there’s no way I will ever stay at this one ever again. Definitely not worth $122 a night or even the $99 a night steer clear! Ladies if your by yourself traveling I don’t recommend to stay here either the atmosphere here wasn’t giving me friendly buses at all! Only reason I stayed was because my boyfriend was with me. Although I really wish we had just left and went home to begin with….

We have stayed at this hotel 5 times.Last year tbey changed ownship and the last time a month ago was bad.But, we were going to give rhem a second chance.Well we wont be staying there again.They messed up our rooms. Telling us they only had 2 King rooms when we made reservations for 2 rooms with queen beds.Made reservervations in oct.We called twice asking if pool was open they said yes.We get there check in ask what fime pool closes they say 11 pm .Go check out pool and it is closed for maintense.6 pillows and only 2 pillow cases. We did get 1 room with 2 queen beds but.1 room had a king so we had my 5 year old sleep between us .There breakfast wasnt the best.This was the last time we will be staying .VERY DISAPPOINTED.

There was a hole in the wall behind the door. There was a hole(devit) in the room, the carpet in the hallway was dirty and had a weird smell. They didnt advertise they were remodeling so no pool. The breakfast was put up before 9 am

I have no place where I can begin, I booked this place in early June of this year because I was in the area for business. It is under construction, thanks Expedia for telling us that, you suck Expedia. If you’re in the area, you would be safer, cleaner and better off to pitch a tent in someone’s backyard before you stay at this absolute dump. Nothing works, bare wires hanging out of the wall cockroaches in the hallway where you go for breakfast. It is just a dump. Avoid this hotel like a plague.

Not good at all. Door to room did not open or close very well. Carpet going to the room down the hallway was dirty. Upon entering the room it was extremely hot and air conditioner unit would not work properly. Went to call front desk but phone did not work. Called front desk from cell phone and was told all phones in the rooms were not working as the owner was going to have them replaced soon. When hanging up the phone that didn’t work I notice a long hair on the table where the phone set. Family and I left immediately after notifying the front desk person and calling hotels.com. Only positive for the hotel was the front desk person who was cordial and friendly.

This was by far One of the worse locations i have visited it. It extremely smelly and humid. Dirty location the toilet was not flushing the ac was leaking water. Woke up to a wet floor small puddles. The carpet in the hallway was very dirty and old. The curtains in the room you can tell was outdated and dirty. Wil not consider this location again. In my trip I stayed in 3 different hotels this was the worse. Not to mention the bed sheets were dirty upon arrival

They need more furniture in the rooms. If you get take out you had to eat on the bed. The tv is on the decks and one chair in front of tv. Bathrooms were very small and toilet seat needed tightened up. They were remodeling so just hope they weren’t finished. Pool and hot tub was awesome.

This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel.This time very disappointed.Tub would not drain,only 1 light in room and no chair.They did say they were renavating .The beds were very comfortable.We will give them 1 more chance in a month.

First warning was the hole in the front office wall. The building was being painted but had other smells too, not pleasant. Our first room had no furniture other than the bed. Phone and tv did not work. AC was questionable. Pool was cloudy and green and the pool room was extremely hot. Moved into second room only to find used soap bar, 2 dirty wash cloths in the tub, a mast shower curtain and again no phone. Outlets behind the bed had open access to wiring! This hotel is a disgrace to the Best Western name. The manager did offer a refund, to his credit. I could not possibly recommend this place to anybody traveling. Just nasty!

The property was under renovations. Owners explained when i checked in and was very kind about if anything was needed due to the renovations.

It smelled a little strange in the hall areas. It served its function, which gave us a place to sleep with coffee in the morning.

Wet average experience. Property was aged and in need of many updates. However, signage indicated that the property was under renovation.

The bathroom door would not close, the tub would not drain, the furniture was only partially there and had no light fixtures! That's just the beginning, the bed was a thin lumpy mattress and my back was aching in the morning. The one chair in the place was a wooden arm chair and nothing that was comfortable. The TV remote only turned the TV on and off, it did not change channels or volume control. There was a biker group staying there also, so we were awakened many times throughout the night by the loud voices and motorcycles revving their engines outside our room. We were the first room when you came up the stairs, so we also heard every noise of anyone coming upstairs. Thank goodness we were only staying one night!

Rented rooms that were still in the middle stages of remodeling, and definitely not safe. Long mirror leaning against wall, lamp fixture ( only one) falling off of wall Definitely not worth the money I spent. Shouldn’t have even been rented out

It took me three different trips to the front desk with all of my belongings with me because my key card wouldn’t work. They didn’t have a king size bed for me even though I reserved one and Lee paid my room. The bed was extremely uncomfortable, and there was no coffee at breakfast. I would like a full refund of my room
