We travel through a few times a year and always stay here. The beds are super comfortable and property is well cared for.

Short notice need, overall a nice stay.

Booked a 2 queen room on hotel.com. Got there and they only had a king bed. I am not gay so I was pissed. Did not enjoy staying in same bed with my hunting buddy

This worse experience of our lives. We had reservations that were made in advance. My husband was in a wheelchair and when we arrived they told us we had no reservations that were made. Funny thing I called the hotel that morning to confirm, and they lied to us that they had no record. We were put out on the street at midnight and had to find another hotel. We were there for a wedding. This most horrible experience of our lives. The agent was rude and said she couldn't help us. Do not stay at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Des Moines West.

Hotel was pleasant to view inside. Nice modern facility. The room was very nice and I received an "Upgrade" to a "Suite" The room overall was very nice and included a jacuzzi tub. All amenities included, large TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Bed was comfortable and the bath was newly remodeled and was very nice! The only down side to the room was that it overlooked the top of the pool area so blocked any real nice view. Did get a wonderful view of the a/c units! On arriving I had a problem with the card that I intended to use and Isabel at the desk was very professional and assisted me in changing to a cash basis for the first night and then utilizing the card after verifying that the transaction was legit not fraud. Only mistake was they authorized the card for one night so had to do it again for the final night of my stay. Breakfast was very good and meticulously maintained every morning. Decent variety of items offered. Nothing outstanding but pretty standard breakfast offerings.

Check in was quick and easy. Lovely reception. Room was fine, though a bit noisy at times. You could hear plumbing sounds and the AC was a bit clunky. Breakfast was good. One issue is that the free wi fi is an open network and this always makes me uncomfortable.

Good beds, quiet room with good upkeep except outlets on bedside lamps were loose & nonfunctional and blackout curtain had torn loose from 1st hook.

Very hospitable. Good breakfast. Our room was clean. However, the room smelled of mildew and all the bedding was rather moist. We got in a pretty late and weren't interested in trying to move, but it made for a less than totally comfortable stay.

Hotel is outdated, room was not clean, room service was worst ever! They threw our covers on the bed, didnt caccumm, didn't restock coffee or fill conditioner. Pool area was way to hot. Elevator floors were not vacuumed. We have stayed in many hiltons and marriotts. We don't complain. But this ridiculous.

We had a quick stay, but everything was quick and easy. The room was nice and clean. The only issue was the shower products were low on stock, so not a big issue. Breakfast in the morning was nice.

The hotel was clean, very quiet and clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We will stay here again in the future. The breakfast was also very good.

Very clean

This place was super disappointing. The breakfast area was gross, almost all the tables were dirty from previous guests, and the rooms were grimy and dated. We had originally booked a suite, but when we got up there it was just a queen bed with a weird corner tub and a chair. There was no pull out couch like I had booked and the room was tiny, to call this a suite was really misleading. They offered us a double queen which wasn't ideal but we made do. When I checked out, they said they charged us for the double queen but looking at my receipt it was only $10 less per night than it was originally. I wouldn't stay here again.

The ceilings in the rooms were so tall and beautiful. However our stay was interrupted by the kids wandering the halls at all hours of the night with no parental supervision.

The room was very nice and was very restful when we returned from our activities in the Des Moines area. We will return to this location when we are in Des Moines again.

Very nice! I ended up in a handicap room and even though I’m not handicapped it was really set up nice for a handicapped person! My church reserved the room so I didn’t choose it. There was no counter in the bathroom for toiletries though so it was harder to do makeup and hair. It was pretty noisy until pretty late at night too. Overall it was a nice place though. Very safe.

We stopped for one night. Overall a very nice hotel, super clean. Breakfast could have been a little better. Eggs and sausages were very salty, prepackaged waffles very sweet.

Stayed here for a business trip and family. The room was ok, had to ask several times for it to be cleaned just trash picked up and clean towels but never got done without asking several times. The pull out bed was super small that my 12 year old who is 5ft 4 could hardly fit on it. Breakfast in the morning was good. Pool my kids loved but over done on chlorine levels and disappointed the hot tub was sealed off. Also during weather events such as tornadoes there is no information on were to go for safety only for fires posted.
