This was actually my favorite motel over our 3-week road trip. I didn’t realize there was no fridge/microwave, but we had an ice chest. The bed was comfortable, I loved the window seat for morning coffee, it was clean, and quiet on our floor. The lobby had a really strong smell of pot. There were 2 people in the lobby waiting area but it might have been related to guests on ground floor. The check-in clerk's name was Happy and he was so awesome. He was helpful, cheerful, and had great suggestions for dinner as well as places to stop along I80 as we travel west. The room was smaller but it didn’t really feel too cramped. It was warm and inviting. Great experience.

Like it all

The room isn’t as clean as you see in the photo. The room carpet is dirty, bathroom is dirty. There was a couple dead bug in our bathtub. There was a stain on our bedsheet. I understand for the price we can’t expect it to be a 3-5 star but overall it’s just really dirty and I was concern for my new born baby.

Nice friendly staff nice breakfast

We booked the Microtel in Urbandale, IA for a short stay. Everything was sparkling clean. The continental breakfast was good, and food was plentiful. We will definitely stay here again.

Fine if you need a place to crash out for awhile.

The property was beat up quite a bit They did not service room at all and we only had 1/2 a roll of toilet paper and 2 towels provided for 4 of us The bathroom door wouldn’t close, the room was full of dents and paint missing on walls The breakfast was awful and area dirty and not serviced. The front desk was not helpful at all. We were there 4 nights and had to leave a day early and they would not even accommodate and cancel the 4th night for us We won’t be coming back. There are many other hotels in Des Moine area to choose from

We booked through Expedia and got Online check-in request, which we completed. But on arrival, we were told that the Expedia booking (which we had already paid) was rejected. So to get a roo we had to pay again.

Not up to Wyndham standards

It is an easy ride from the people I visited to this motel. The room was refreshed by the air conditioner. The staff was accommodating and with smiles too.

It was a conveniently located. Clean rooms. The breakfast was ok. The coffee and hot water was always cold. The cream cheese was frozen. It was a very quiet hotel with ample parking.

Rude staff. A family living on the third floor that runs the hotel. Entire place stinks like curry. Also beware, booking on the Hotels.com sight doesn't tell you it's $30 per night for our service animal. Automatically charged my account for it. Wouldn't have booked if I knew.

I spent most of my time out come in at night to sleep but the staff at the front desk was very friendly, and funny. The room was clean and the location of the property is easy to get anywhere with the city and shopping areas.

The room appeared to be very clean. I felt safe at the hotel and also it was very affordable.

Clean quiet and comfortable

Pillows were stained, there was a bug on the counter when i walked in the room.

Front desk service was horrible. Manager charged me a pet fee after I told him my dog was my service animal and showed him proof. He still refused to give me a refund and gave me the run around, telling me the system was down. He refused to give me more towels since they only give you two small thin towels.

Love it will stay again

I wasn't happy when I walked in and saw a food container in the trash and crumbs on the chair at the table. The bathtub creaked so I only took one shower there. I wasn't happy so I left a day early. I attempted to talk to someone when I left but there was not one at the counter and no one responded when I hit the buzzer. They did call when I was on the road and just explained that I left a day early- I couldn't talk then. I did not find the staff friendly- not rude- just not friendly. They did not tell me of the amenities when I got there. Just seemed only concern with making the sure the payment was completed. For the price I thought there might be a frig or at least a microwave, but there were none. The good thing was there was no deposit.

Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and water pressure. Quiet, clean and spacious.

It’s was nice

There was no microwave in the room which was not expected! I booked this hotel because we looked for one with a breakfast included and was VERY disappointed! The biscuits were hard as a brick and the gravy was COLD! Only a few slices of bread and a couple bagels available for all guests, a few hard boiled eggs and yogurt. No decent options. Nothing appealing so the second day ate elsewhere which is what we wanted to avoid. Also had a sign posted to not be able to bring food to your room. NEVER ran into this before! It would have been nice to take something back to our room for when we finished getting ready. Won’t be back.

Room was ok but nothing works at this place! Fitness machines were all broken and not working, only one washer and dryer worked others were broken, to top it off the hair dryer in the room did not work.

Booked a suite with jacuzzi tub. The blinds in the room with the jacuzzi were broken. The heater/air conditioner was as loud as a bulldozer, the blanket on the bed was no thicker than two sheets together. Went down for their complimentary breakfast at 7:40am and every thing was gone. Breakfast is served from 6-9am. When I spoke to the front desk clerk about these issues. He acted like I was bothering him. No apology at all

Our room lights flickered, our shower didn't work, and the couch in the bed had a big stain.

Would never stay here again, even if you paid me. I travel A LOT and never really have issues at hotels. This one has been the worst. The beds are extremely hard. There was an extremely bright outdoor light right outside our window and showed through the curtains all night. TV and fridge did not work. Stayed for 5 days and they never had room service come. There’s a sign taped to the front desk that says they don’t come unless you’re there longer than 2 nights but they never did. We had to track down staff multiple times to ask for toilet paper and towels. Staff at front desk was very rude. I’ve had better experiences at cheaper hotels than this.
