They say they have parking but its often full. The food at the restaurant is very bad and most of the staff are rude. The views from the room is great though. It feels like a cheap hotel, you just pay for the view and the location (easy to walk to the beach, old town)

Room and bath were oK and clean. I booked with dinner at night, would be maybe a better option to eat outside. Parking direct at hotel is limited, big car parc 150m away, also often full.

close to airport only 10 euro taxi fare.......bus stop nearby with express bus to funchal 3.35 euros......nearby restaurants and beach, lovely view of bay from hotel room....great breakfast selection, wifi in rooms

In a perfect position the Dom Pedro lived up to our expectations. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. The bus stop is nearby for reaching other parts of the island as well as the airport. Our room had fantastic views of the bay. The only downside was no kettle in our room but we knew about this and brought our own travel kettle. There was also no hairdryer which is unusual for a 4 star hotel but this did not spoil our enjoyment. Evening entertained was a nice touch.

I was staying in Dom Pedro hotel in Machico for 8 nights. My room had a beautiful view, and it was cleaned everyday. Staff very friendly. I will back.

Excellent place as for my occasion they provide me Champagne for my Birthday and they being so kind for all my staying. Coming back as there's so much to do in Madeira.

Stayed one night to catch an early morning flight as it was close to airport. The breakfast was included in the hotel stay, we asked if they could provide sandwiches for us the night before as we will miss the breakfast. All we got was a straight "NO". He never thought of trying to ask the kitchen staffs, didn't look friendly at all. unfortunately, not my kind of service.

A tired hotel, but the mattress was very comfortable and the shower worked well, considering the price not bad. Breakfast was fair but the coffee was horrible.

Old building with cracks in plaster on beams of rooms, with noise in corridors from other residents. Chaotic breakfast buffet scramble in the morning, noisy and without room for capicity of guests, causing people to wait until there is room to sit down and eat. Great location though, multiple entrances and very friendly welcome with free maderia wine

As soon as you walk in you notice the hotel has a terrible smell. I reserved a room with a double bed but was told at check in that isn’t guaranteed and received a room with two twin beds. The pillow cases had stains on them.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is perfectly located, 10mns away from the bus stop that goes directly to Funchal city centre and 5mns walk to the beach. There are also few lovely restaurants at a walking distance. The rooms have a beautiful view.

Very convenient for overnight stay prior to a pre-dawn flight from FNC. Close to beach and centre of Machico. But: band playing loudly in square outside hotel until 12:40am and noisy Aircon made it hard to get up at 3:30am to catch flight. And it's right under the take off flight path... Very dated decor but room we'll equipped and functional

The air conditioning in my room did not work and the sheets on the bed were uncomfortable so it was very difficult to sleep at night. Otherwise the hotel is nice for the price. Clean. Nice staff. Nice pool and good breakfast.

It was fantastic! The staff was super friendly and the food was good. Having a sea view bedroom was also nice!

Facility is very nice and hotel room was good except for the smell in the bathroom of sewage. Complained to front desk but they did not care.

Booked for one night before an early morning flight and wasn’t disappointed. Only 5min drive from an airport, they arranged a taxi for us at 4am. Good breakfast buffet, amazing views to the ocean and cliffs. Room was ok - clean but a bit dated and beds could be more comfortable, but we didn’t mind it

We like the property and view

Very clean, lovely town, and close to the airport. The male staffer at the front desk obviously did not like his job and when asked where the sports bars were told me to watch it in my room.

Amazing hotel, great value for money

The hotel is super close to the airport in a beautiful town with lots of restaurants. The staff at the front desk were rude and were complaining about us to one another in Portuguese right in front of us. It was extremely unprofessional and off-putting. We went to the bar for a drink and the male bartender there was so rude. Acted like we were a HUGE inconvenience and wouldn’t give us a minute to view the drink menu. He kept asking ‘just what do you want?’ I told him we just needed a minute and he kept pressuring us to order now. There was no one else in the bar so it’s not like we were holding up the line. We ordered a vodka lime, gin and tonic and one of the drinks off their drink menu. Only one of them was decent. The other two were undrinkable. We were not impressed.
