Great location downtown Norfolk. Priced cheaper than surrounding hotels at $139 per night but not worth it.
Staff including valet, restaurant and front desk were very welcoming and friendly. Hotel is outdated throughout-from lobby, to elevators, rooms and bathrooms. ALL need to be updated. Our room was clean but smelled like "baby diapers". Television was extremely small, curtains and carpet were very worn. Very noisey. Our sleep was continuously interrupted by hallway noise and we could hear loud HVAC system and doors to other rooms slam all night. I would not recommend staying here.

The service was great and the place was really clean. However, the temperature in the room would not go down regardless if you put cool instead of heat. Being on the 8th floor, you can’t open a window (reasonably so) and it felt like it was 80 degrees the entire time and we couldn’t sleep because of it. If that wasn’t the problem, the stay would’ve been perfect.

It was very horrible due to the fact, stains all over the couch in the room. Hair and debris all over the back part of the Mattress and boxspring. Would never stay there again.

The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting downtown Norfolk. You can walk to many restaurants and attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful and made the weekend one we won’t forget.

All the staff were extremely nice, especially the bartender Myia & the maintenance guy Dexx. I will be returning a week after Thanksgiving!

I stayed for 5 nights on business. The room was never cleaned, bins emptied or towels changed, etc despite reminders to receiption in the evenings when I returned after a lond day. I was told on the last day that I should have read a message posted in the elevator that such service is only available on request by 10am each day.

Nice hotel, rooms were nice, very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have a breakfast included with the stay, especially since you have to pay $25 per day for valet parking. They did have some options to purchase, but I'm not sure that they were more than "heat & eat" offers, and a little pricey for that.

Service was excellent. I'd recommend some options for disabled guests. I'm an amputee and had trouble with navigating the bath tub.

The 1st point of contact with Valet for $25.00 come as you go was good. Mr. Tiree, I think that was his name was so nice. My checkin was a 15..those ladies were exceptionally great. Friendly, professional funny. Laraa & Shaa, I can't remember the names. I wrote thrm on my hotel card. They were helpful in even maneuvering the area.

Property was very dirty, room was very stuffy which cause me to sneeze a lot.. The bathtub was unbearably dirty.. I told the front desk about the condition and got switched to another room that was just as dirty and unbearable as the other one, thank god we were only staying one night. When checking out we also told the assistance general manager about the situation which she brushed it off and asked us if we wanted a bottle of water for our travels. I will never be back to this properly very disappointed considering it’s a Marriott property. The property needs serious renovation and needs to cleaned..very disappointed stay on a special night as this one.

I got 10 bed bugs bites on my legs after the two days stay in this hotel. I am still suffering itchy and each bump keep discharging pus now. I never write the review to the experience by staying the hotel. But I have to tell anyone else trying to book this hotel to avoid same problem on it.

The first room we to checked into had a strong mold or mildew odor that was attributed to the refrigerator that was leaking. The hotel staff gave us another room. Also the bedding was not cleaned.

This was a standard Courtyard. I only have two complaints. One, the building was hot. The common areas were not air conditioned. Once you left your room you would sweat. Also, the hot tub was empty and that information was not available when I booked.

The restaurant and valet staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and the front desk staff but the room were filthy…the carpet, furniture and bedding filthy. The housekeeper manager was extremely disappointed and embarrassed. Spoke to the hotel manager Brent Cosgrove and he did nothing…no concessions, no apologies, no nothing…

The room was spacious and clean. The staff was very enthusiastically friendly, including Germaine, Dominic, and all check-in staff. Exrremely helpful and knowledgeable about restaurants, etc in the area. Great location. We walked to Waterside and enjoyed a free outdoor concert.

Did not have the room that I paid for available. Only room available was for the handicapped. After my long trip I took it and was promised to be switched the next day. OMG the second room was totally disgusting. Never again will I stay here!!!!
