Little tricky to find the car park before checking in. Great lunch .

The hotel is at the center of old town with many restaurants and stores within a few minutes. The hotel staff were also very courteous and friendly.

Great location, 10 minutes from the train station even with a 15kg suitcase. Quiet even though only a stone’s throw away from the library-cathedral complex. Three restaurants very close by.

Good city hotel, about 200m from the Abbey. The difference with this hotel was the hospitality of the staff, everyone was helpful and positive (including the cleaners and housekeepers). Yet everyone also took Corona very seriously, with facemasks everywhere and, of course, the check for the Certificate for entry to the breakfast room. Bedroom was a little echoey, thanks to the spartan internal design, but was comfortable. Very on trend, but may not be to everyone's taste... Breakfast was fine, some particularly good local cheeses available.

Great location. Staff were all very helpful. Buffet breakfast was good, with a wide choice. Limited parking spaces available at rear of hotel for CHF15 per night. Would recommend.

The Taxi that brought us from the train station to the hotel said that she did not accept cards - so the nice receptionist came out and cashed it for us since we only had card to pay with. Very nice staff! :)
The hotel is very central, with walking distance to the train station and most of the things to see and be in St.gallen. Close to restaurants, shopping and culture. Nice rooms, with decent bed and a nice bathroom. Would stay here again.

Convenient location — near to rail station and just one minute’s walk to the cathedral and old town; very good room design

The Dom seems to have everything going for it - friendly and obliging staff, very clean and modern, nice touches (e.g. quality toiletries) and a great location close to the old town & sites and a short walk from the station.
The only reason it didn’t get top rating is that (as it says on the listing) many rooms have a shared bathroom (& toilet). How much of an inconvenience this will be depends on the individual, but it is easy to overlook when evaluating alternatives - and we regretted not going for a more expensive, en-suite option.
Whilst the room might be cheap for the area, it seems expensive for a room lacking this essential amenity.

My bed was one of the least comfortable beds I've ever stayed in and my room was next to the communal bathroom so I was woken all night with people going to the bathroom.

Good big room with a big bed - the shares shower facility was ok, I didn’t have to wait to use it.It looks new and well appointed. Location wise it’s very good and in the center of the city, close to the Cathedral. Didn’t manage to eat breakfast, so can’t comment on that.

We had a twin room (2 twin beds on different sides of the room) with a shared bathroom. It was the only choice left in rooms. It wasnt anything special but it was clean and gave us a place to rest our head.

Just one shower room per floor. Two restrooms on each floor, one of which is in the bathroom.
Breakfast is included and is pretty good.

I landed in Zurich, and then took a train to St Gallen, without any rest last night. On arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the hotel staff, and basically it was far earlier to check in, but after I explained to her I did not sleep at all. She quickly arranged a room for me in 3 min without any hesitate. The room was cozy and clean. I fell asleep straightaway, on the comfortable bed. It was the best quality hotel I paid for all my business trips. Will definitely stay in Dom Hotel for the future. Thank Judith for her kind help and warm welcome.

Very pleasant hotel with welcoming staff. Comfortable but not luxurious. Expensive by UK terms but this was Switzerland! Could have done with a bit more variety at breakfast!

Because of flight delays and airplane delays I didn't arrive until 2:30 am but they still held my room and checked me in no problem. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The front desk directed me to the nearest grocery store and got me an ironing board for my work shirt. The location was good, altogether I was very pleased. The shower was designed in a way that if you put the shower head a certain way, water would leak out into the rest of the bathroom. But that problem was easily solved by pointing the shower in the direction of the wall instead of the direction of the glass doors. I was very pleased with this hotel and would stay there again with pleasure.
