Clean, quiet, comfortable. Easy to find, right off Hwy 90.Classic old school motel, very nicely kept. I’d go back again Great diner nearby.

They're really trying to make this place nicer - you can tell! Unfortunately, there's only so much you can do for an old, run-down motel.
We were not comfortable using the shower - it had a fair amount of mildew around the edges. The walls were thin. It was difficult to unlock our door. We didnt necessarily feel the safest, but I don't think that was a testament to the hotel so much as the crowd.
We left wishing we had spent a little more money on a different place in town. Would stay here again in an emergency, though.

Don't be swayed by the old "Motor Inn" concern. This place was clean, quiet and convenient to many amenities. I can only say they should clean their windows. But then, I am really OCD about clean glass. I only met one staff member and he was super friendly.

Check in was easy, the staff was friendly, the room was clean, and only 5 minutes away from the Corn Palace. Easy on and off the highway to continue our journey westward. Continental breakfast was standard- cereal, bagels, make your own waffle. The jackalope statue was an added bonus to get photos with the kids!

Large room wirh tiny bathroom. All amenities worked well. Room could have been cleaner. Comfortable bed although metal frame is annoying , sounds like giant gong when hit! Breakfast was pretty nonexistent unless you wanted ceral.

The hotel was recently remodeled. Breakfast was good. The room and bed were clean. Oddly, we were issued an actual key for the room. I felt like this was a very retro thing; both my wife and I had chuckle over this. There was an incense smell in the lobby, but the room had a very clean and pleasant smell.
I was concerned about my vehicle, but everything was safe and sound the next morning.
Overall, not a bad place.

The Thunderbird hotel rooms were average, the location was convenient, but the complimentary breakfast was the worst we've encountered on this trip: stale bread, overcooked eggs, bad coffee.

Double queen room had recent new HVAC unit (quiet and effective) and big TV that actually worked well and had a large channel selection. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff.

For years this has been my regular stop when travelling through the area. Always dependably clean and comfortable with cheerful friendly service.
Breakfast choice is limited but adequate. The new owners have done some good renovations recently as I saw on a recent stay in a double queen room, but the single king room I had last night could use some fresh paint and carpet.

We travelled with our dog and the extra price for having him in the room was reasonable. The bed was comfortable, the sink, mirror and counter very nice and clean. The breakfast was sufficient.

Hands down, the BEST budget hotel we’ve ever stayed in!! Hallway floors were carpet without harsh lighting (no loud echo of other guests with light coming in under the room door!!!) -AND doors went all the way to the floor. The room had a great heat/massage recliner. Big TV on a swivel. Literally steps away from McDonalds. And much to my kids delight, free breakfast!

It was clean and comfortable. Older but well maintained. The staff was friendly and caring. I'd stay here again.

Sheets looked used and did not smell clean. Water from sink smelled like sewer. Lights by bed did not turn off so bulbs had to be unscrewed. Hot/cold shower faucet was reversed. Plug in by sink was unable to hold hair dryer or curling iron. Will never stay there again!!

All other reviews on cleanliness were correct as well as some updates needed. It was perfect for a one night short stay when all we needed to do was sleep.

This is the nicest motel! Sometimes it's nice to stay at something that's not a chain motel. This is a very clean motel. Comfortable beds Big Tv and power port for phones. The owner gave us bottled water when we checked in. It has a hot tub and Sauna. Breakfast was bisquits and gravy and waffles. Really nice fresh fruit. We will definitely stay again

I arrived a little early and the friendly desk clerk was very accommodating and got me in immediately. The property is older but updated and very comfortable. Huge flat screen television with numerous channels. I will definitely stay here again

I stayed at the Thunderbird about 8 years ago and was hesitant to do it again, but I saw good reviews. It has definitely been updated! What a difference! The property is old, but was very comfortable and has a microwave, refrigerator, & coffeemaker. No breakfast but the price is definitely right. I would stay again.

We are a family of 7 and usually have to book 2 rooms to accommodate us. Not so at the Thunderbird Lodge with their generously sized Family Rooms. The staff was friendly and courteous, rooms and grounds were very clean, and fresh fruit at breakfast was appreciated. Bedsheets were a bit pilly and scratchy, but that is my only complaint. Excellent stay for the price!
