TV did not offer Netflix. I was unable to mirror my phone with the TV. The screen had an annoying logo that would not go away.

The hotel is nice. Recently renovated and it’s very clean. Parking in the garage next door was easy. Check in was easy and the employees were all friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

I am awaiting a response as to cancelling with a refund. The event we were in town for was postponed to another date so there was no reason to stay. We NEVER checked in!

The front desk at check in was unprofessional. While checking in I was nit greeted, instead the employees were talking loudly to eachother about ordering food and yelling accross the lobby about their order. I was supoose to receive free water with my stay, not the case. There is also no bar as advertised. The rooms are very loud and no sound proofing, I could hear everything including the next rooms shower and water turn in.
A lot of homeless people and trash outside the hotel. Not in a a safe area at all.

It is a beautiful hotel and very secure. Also convenient to the Arch and Busch Stadium. Great breakfast menu.

Extremely nice staff and they were helpful we stayed in the premium king bed room and unfortunately the room was dirty upon arrival food in the fridge dirty inside dressers and dirty in the bathroom

The hotel was very clean. The bed, pillow and sheets were so comfortable. Loved everything about our stay. This is our go to when we visit St. Louis.

The hotel was very nice. The parking was very easy and relatively affordable. The location was wonderful as we were only there for an overnight stay and a trip to see the arch. We had a view of the arch out our window. We loved the high ceilings in the room. We also really liked that it was an old bank which highlighted the vault and the gates. The only complaint was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy. Every time it clicked on it startled me a bit.

First room the AC quit working and it got up to 80 degrees in our room. Moved the second night, and the second room the AC quit working at 245am. It was 85 degrees and muggy outside. Naturally it was muggy and hot on our room which led to uncomfortable sleeping conditions. They brought us up a box fan but that can only do so much. We moved from one crappy room to another. The customer service wasn’t terrible but the office manager still has yet to contact me over this whole thing and that’s pretty disappointing.

The Pennywell has a vintage and classic vibe as it used to be bank. It still has marble in the lobby and other historic touches. Parking is right next to the building and is convenient.

Main issue was AC went out and had to switch rooms at 2am. They compensated by paying parking. Would have been better if they proactively switched us to another room earlier in the evening as they had to know other rooms on the floor were affected.

Three nights for a business trip. Was impressed with how clean everything was. My room was especially comfortable, and whoever did the room cleaning each morning, did a very nice job. The staff were friendly, the room was quiet, bed and pillows very comfortable. Would have no hesitation staying again.

Overall our stay was good. This was one of our stops on our way out west. You cannot see the arch from the hotel but it is well within walking distance. I was disappointed that I could not fully check in from the app. I still had to stop by the front desk to confirm my identity which defeats the purpose of checking in online. Checking out was the same. However, the front desk workers were really nice.

Very sparkly hotel; we had breakfast included which seemed to puzzle them as they tried to charge us and at breakfast the server had no idea of it. Several other customers had the same issue, I wonder how any were charged. Room was spacious. TV was dreadful. I am a IT geek and I could not get many channels out of it and it seemed to always want to be on Cartoon Network. No instructions anywhere, I just ended up pressing lots of buttons and managed to change it then. But could not find a guide!
Oh for toast and cereal for breakfast, it was not allowed we were told. I asked for tea, told it was not available, my wife asked and got it??
Some great aspects however; thunder and lightning storm and they gave me an umbrella to use. Asked for some milk cartons as no free coffee downstairs, gave me a pint of milk in a cup. Some will love it, I did not think value for money, sorry!

Got charged twice and asked why they charged our debit card when we got there and he just brushed it off and said that’s just a standard fee and we will receive it back when checking out! Ask the girl why this happened and she said that was a mistake and she refunded my money! I have to wait 10 business days for my refund. I deserve comp on my room for this awful experience

They tried to give me one king bed because they said they were sold out. I paid extra for two queens corner room with a nice view. They switched me to a room with two queens with a view of a dirty empy rundown building. Area is very empty and is. It safe at night I am told.

Everything was great - the check-in, the size and cleanliness of the room, the location. Everything was great except the bed was very firm, much firmer than we like. Great value for the price. We will probably go back.
