I absolutely loved this hotel. Eat dinner at the restaurant (make a reservation). It’s excellent.

Perfect in every way

- horrible beds (both my partner and I woke up with back pains) - we were at the 7th floor which is one floor below the restaurant, and the hallway smelled from cooking - semi-blocked sink - TV doesn't work - insecure internet (anyone can just login and you don't even need to agree with T&C) - bad breakfast... Didn't have much to offer (seems like they're not refilling - if the bread is finished you're out of luck)... Eggs looked like they're made from egg powder

Excellent location and view of old town.

Superb view from upgraded room and from 8th floor bar. Staff at Reception were excellent, very helpful and welcoming. Bedroom facilities were comprehensive and useful. Coffee and tea supply could be improved.

What an AMAZING property!!! The room was amazing; big, well appointed, clean. Service 10/10. Walkable to lots of the tourist interests. And the dining plus bar had the best vies

We approached the hotel by car from the side and it was not obvious where the entrance was. The car was valet parked without fuss, there is a paid underground car park nearby too. The hotel overlooks the valley towards the city and afford spectacular views. The walk into the city across the bridge takes around 20 minutes. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast with a great bar.

The staff are the best thing about this place!! The concierge staff & the servers in the restaurant go above & beyond. They are all fantastic! The hotel is beautiful & is in a great location with easy access to walk to all attractions. The amenities in the room are great with all mini bar items included which was great! The set up in the room was unique with the shower in the middle of the room. Would be odd if you were sharing a room with a friend you weren’t comfortable showering in front of (just so you know in case you’re traveling with someone other than a loved one). The resturant on the 8th floor has beautiful views, but we felt the prices for the food was a little pricey & no options for breakfast around the hotel. Despite this we would definitely stay here again.

AVOID. Antiquated, rude, and unkept. If the facilities having issues was the only problem I wouldn’t care much but I had a harassment incident from one of the in-room dining staff who broke into my room to scream at us and wouldn’t leave despite asking him. Management chose to ignore the problem after I reported it. I would never stay here again.

Disappointed with the Breakfast Service. Limited choice of breakfast for Vegetarian. Waiters were too busy trying to prepare for Lunch that not once did they come to see if we needy anything.

Accessible location between the train station and the main city area. We stay there since it was close to the train station and bus stops from the airport. Quality of the service, room and food was excellent. Definitely don’t miss out on the breakfast buffet with a view! The concierge was also great and extremely helpful.

My wife and I loved our 4 night stay at the Sofitel Grand Ducal. The location of the hotel is almost directly in between uptown and downtown. A brilliant central location. The reception staff were really excellent. Very friendly, very helpful and always smiling!! A bit shout out to Kevin Kayir who stood out as one of the best receptionists I ever came across.... In fact all the staff at this hotel are brilliant, personable, friendly and professional. We received a free upgrade to a beautiful valley view and the included breakfast was great! Lovely fresh juices, a good assortment of breads, cheese, salmon, eggs etc etc and we never left the breakfast room hungry :) The restaurant menu was not really to our taste and the bar food was fairly limited so we tended to eat out for lunch and dinner, with lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. The bedrooms were fabulous. My only comment would be the desk was a little 'tired' and storage space for clothes was lacking. I suggest moving the coffee machines to the desk area which I would replace with a dressing table integrated with drawers. Bathroom and shower were modern, clean with high quality Balmain soaps etc and the toilet was separate which was also nice. This was our first trip to Luxembourg and we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend...

The hotel is a reasonably modern hotel that is a short walk from the city centre and easy to get to by bus from the airport which made it very convenient to stay. We had a room with a city view which was really nice as you look out onto the old town.

Good hotel - as you can expect from Sofitel. Good breakfast, roomm had a beautiful view of the city. Location is also very good (walking distance from the city center). The restaurant at the last floor is very nice - one of the best views of the city. Overall a 9/10.

The staff were so welcoming and hospital to my son and thought of every little thing you could image. Loved it would come back.
