Neighborhood location is great - very central to everything. The room was clean and spacious, but getting tired around the bathroom and kitchen. The carpet could use a good cleaning - we had a spill and the towel we used to clean up was surprisingly dirty. "daily housekeeping" is actually every other day. The hotels.com listing is wrong. They inform you at check-in that housekeeping alternates days. Marriot needs to go back to daily because the main reason I pick hotels over "other lodging options" is the availability of housekeeping. "full kitchen" is more of a kitchenette. There is no oven, and minimal cooking utensils. Our diet requires being able to bake things with dry heat, so a conventional oven, or combo microwave/convection, or even a toaster oven or air fryer would suffice. But this room only had a microwave, which is not sufficient. This is inconsistent with other Residence Inns, and again had I known this in advance I would have opted for "other lodging options"

Great location. Hotel was extremely busy due to Chicago Marathon. Customer service was fine. Hotel is within walking distance to Michigan Ave and dream restaurants. Rooms are small and a little out dated.

A whole lot going on Sat afternoon before Sunday morning marathon

25th floor suite with great city view! Flat screen tv on top of cabinet in front of window a little different but understandable due to rooms floor plan. Minor, but obvious, kitchen table chairs showed surface wear. Otherwise, nice to have a full kitchen. Service was great & staff exceptional. Location was perfect for subway access as we attended baseball games at Comiskey & Wrigley. Family in Uptown easy to get too. River just blocks away. Restaurants & bars everywhere. Walking distance to shoreline & Magnificent Mile. For mid September, I’ve been told its was warm for this time of year in Chicago (low 80’s). Being from The Bay in Cali; felt like home.

Overall very great stay. Walkability is perfect. The staff was very friendly. Housekeeping came every other day, which was acceptable to us. We were traveling with a baby, so having a full fridge, kitchen, and counter was very helpful with bottle prep and cleaning. The crib provided was a graco pack n play. The only negative thing for us is that there was a speaker playing music at the front entrance 24/7. Normally I would love that type of vibe, but walking past when the music is at level 100/10 at 9:30am with a baby wasn’t fun.

All Around great hotel and location

Convenient location close to the river trail. Room was large, nice staff! Nice hotel bar.

Room and amenities were clean. It was great to have parking until 4pm which gave us additional time to explore the city. Very close to the river and only a few blocks from mag mile. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance, however room its self was very small and poorly laid out. Great breakfast and convenient parking attached.
