We stayed there due to an event we were competing in close by. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The Rustic is an older building, but well maintained. More well maintained than a lot of the more expensive name brand places. The linens were clean, the furniture in great shape, and they provided plenty of towels and pillows in the room, so much so you didn't need to ask for anything. It was quiet, and we were literally able to park right in front of our room. Highly recommend. We'll use this facility again if we race NICA again in Rolla next year. Plus it was within walking distance of the course.

Worst motel stay I’ve ever had. One of the two towels in the bathroom had dirt smeared all over it and was just hanging up. The tub would not drain. Both of the beds had dirty blankets, sheets, and pillows. There were hairs all over all of it. Looks like someone slept in both beds and none of the bedding was removed or washed. I had to go to Walmart and buy blankets and pillows to sleep in the bed because I was so grossed out. The room smelled terrible like smoker had smoked in the room even though I asked for a non smoking room.

I loved this place! The sheets, pillows and mattress were amazing. Great AC and hot water. Also, the owners are terrific - talk with them about becoming American citizens!

Very nice lady that checked me in. Older hotel but clean. Had an issue with the tv so we switched rooms so everything worked out. Might avoid room 112.

Loved the high-top, king-sized bed with soft & cozy blankets and comforter. The room was heated prior to my arrival on a cold night and had the added touch of a room scent that made you feel as if you were entering someone's guest room to spend the night; not a motel. The patterned shower curtain was also a nice touch to make the bathroom feel more "homey." Nice & friendly people to greet me at the front desk, both at my arrival in the middle of the night and in the morning at check-out. I will definitely be staying here again!

Checked in and immediately asked for a refund. First room smelled like freshly smoked marijuana and head dead bedbug carcasses behind the headboard. Second room didn’t stink, but had dead bugs lay all around the edge of the wall and overall cleanliness needs attention. Front desk personnel stated they don’t have enough help. I understand that, but that’s a lot of places nowadays. I do not recommend.

The rooms were super clean. The price was very reasonable. The owners were wonderful!!! I would definitely stay here again!!!

Needs major updating. There are plenty of ways to update cost effectively. I can tell it’s owned by people who care and love their business but you have got to put some money back into the business as well. The same fixtures and beds from the 60’s-70’s just aren’t going to cut it anymore. Housekeeping could do a better job deep cleaning too. A magic eraser goes a long way.

No such thing as a non smoking room when next door is a smoking room. The smoke comes in through vents and under the door. Walls very thin. Beds very uncomfortable. The owners were very nice and helpful.

If you are looking for a reasonable rate with a clean space to sleep, this will meet your expectations. There are not any additional creature comforts here, so you get what you pay for. The motel is outdated, but it is clean and the family who owns it is friendly.

Older property, but well maintained (e.g., the bathroom fan actually cleared the moisture). AC had been turned on before our arrival. Owner was friendly, but not intrusive.

1950s motel. That said, it isn't perfect but about as perfect as it can be. Family owned, well kept and CLEAN. Beats the economy motels on the interstate...particularly the CLEAN part. Worth the two mile drive! Thanks guys, we'll be back!

We have stayed here several times, pre-pandemic, but this time we were sorely disappointed in the lack of cleanliness.
We will pass next time.

Personal touches in the room, super comfortable bed. Friendly, smiling front desk. Small parking lot, but I managed to fit my car with trailer on the gravel area. I felt safe with a deadbolt on the door. There was no partition and no masks were being worn in this Missouri motel. The coffee was hot and decent. No frills, no breakfast food, but an inexpensive and overall seamless experience. I would stay here again for the price.

The folks at the desk are the owners. They are relatively new immigrants to the US and are living the American dream.
They are very friendly and extremely polite.
The bed has a pillow top along with great pillows. The bathroom was clean and well lit with endless hot water. The AC worked great. The property is well located in town, well lit and well maintained.
The rooms have been updated but the outside has vintage appearance to it, although a well maintained one.
All in all, I strongly recommend this place, especially at this price.
It’s no Hilton, but that’s what we were looking for.

Every thing was great except I was very uncomfortable when the check in lady made a copy of my driver's licence and my credit card.
