Very nice and very interesting hotel. Great location.

We did a quick overnite stay ahead of a boat cruise. Check in and out were easy, location was good, staff helpful and friendly, they held our bags for the day, and the all inclusive breakfast was fantastic!!!! Our only comment was the bathrooms were very small as two people needed to get ready at the same time and it was tight! Overall, great stay ofor our needs!

Great location, fabulous neighborhood.

After a long trip, we woke up at 11am and missed the breakfast - breakfast was ended at 10:30am. We had 3rooms in this hotel as we were party of 7. Breakfast was all pre paid in advance by travel agency so there was no option the get money back. When we arrive to lobby, all they said sorry you missed it, put policy is breakfast ends at 10:30am. They didn’t offer anything to make us feel better - no coffee, no water, no snacks, no partial credit towards lunch (we were willing to have lunch at their restaurant and pay the difference). Even though we fully paid breakfast to this hotel but we were able to get nothing. Instead went out to another restaurant outside and got lunch somewhere else. I found this attitude, not Customer’e friendly or accommodating ):

Staff at check-in and check-out not friendly or inviting did not providing any information about hotel other than how to find the room. Charged €2.50 for a tiny bottle of water from the mini bar, if we knew this was not complimentary we could have purchased elsewhere at a reasonable price. Kettle in room didnt work so could not have tea/coffee. Beds were twin when booked a double, a bit hard but overall comfortable sleep. Great location in town, wish the atmosphere matched the 4* rating.

Location is great. My room was on the first floor, so it wasn't quiet. But, the room itself was nice. My view was less than desirable as you can see from the photo, but that didn't bother me.

Best location if you want to be close to the Ribeira.

First time we stay couple years ago was better. Our room this time faced the kitchen fumes and wasin need of some TLC. I still like the location.

We are disappointed! We got shock when we came back to our room the day that the receptionist told us that we can move to a lower floor room without the extra 10 steps of the original room. We were told they are moving our room at 3pm, we told the staff, we will be back before 3pm we still have more things to pack. But, when we came back to our room, everything all gone, and the safe is empty and open!! We got very nervous, what happening? We went downstairs to us , she said she had the cleaning lady to pack everything for us. I asked what about my personal items in safe? That is one thing they should never touch! We traveled around the world staying many hotels always the hotel staffs will reminding you to remove your personal item in the safe, they won't go to open the safe especially we are still the guess there. We were told they will help us to carry the baggage for us, never mentioned they will go to the safe and move our passport, cash, and jewelry out, without our present in the room. The worst is next, after all the argument. She said our personal belonging is with the front desk. When I went there with her, i cant believe my eyes, they just leave all my items right at the reception counter, open area that anyone can just pick it up. I was more shocked at that point!! Why no common sense, these are vauleable items, at least should have keep it in the lock drawer and instead of just left in the open counter area that many people in and out can see it. I am

Perfect place

I got a room on the street side and it was very noisy. The train woke me up 3 times during the night. It’s unfortunate that they’re so close to the train because otherwise the hotel was amazing. Clean, comfortable, beautiful design, great customer service and amazing location.

Very nice hotel for the price but breakfast at 20 euro is expensive

The ideal location to explore Porto. Staff are very professional. Elegant experience. The only comment would be is that the facilities could use an upgrade.

The first room I had flooded from all the rain then i was put into another room where the air conditioning didnt work.

Check in was easy and staff was friendly. This hotel is very conveniently located to the shopping and dining by the river.

Wet well positioned, the only downside for me was that the Window overlooked a stone wall

Hotel Carris is well located near the Douro River area. Its a lively area. It can be noisy though at night. The hotel is relaxed, rooms are ok, although not brilliant, bit dated in my opinion. Overall my stay was ok.

Great location, friendly staff and beautiful aesthetic in the room, restaurant and lobby. Walking distance to everything. Paid underground parking down the road for 50€ a day.

Stayed with family. We had to book two rooms since standard rooms can only accommodate two people. The location of the hotel was really good. Lots of places to eat and walk to. Rooms were clean, property was upscale. There was a shortage of conditioner and body cream in the entire area, so that was a bummer, otherwise a great stay.
