Business trip

Excellent hotel. We used for dinner, bed and breakfast whilst travelling back from holiday. Only improvement I would suggest is to replace the buffet breakfast. We prefer to wait for a fresh cooked breakfast.

Stayed two nights. Couldn't sleep well at all because we could hear from the next door, frequent door closing and people talking loud in the corridor. Room temperature is not that easy to control somehow. The water coming out of the shower was lovely but the the grout can do with a good clean. Food at the restaurant was not great. Very disappointed with the Casa Paella. It was supposed to be a main course. It was served in an 8 inches paella dish. It has an unpleasant burnt taste, a mixture of old rice with some past the best prawns, mussels and chicken pieces. Not a lot of flavour in the Bavette steak. The most edible dish was the sourdough and olive tapas. The breakfast menu was good but after the not so great dinner experience, we only went for the safe options i.e. fried egg, baked beans, mushroom and bacon.

Fantastic hotel, incredibly welcoming team, extremely friendly. Room was a great size and very comfy. Just a couple of general wear and tear bits like the door being scuffed, door stop slightly hanging off that detracted slightly but not enough to ruin a stay or cause a complaint.

From start to finish what a great trip. The staff are very helpful, great bar, delicious food in the Barco restaurant , beautiful clean and comfortable room.. this is our 2nd visit to the Casa had a day at the Chatsworth's County show and an over night stay. it finished our weekend of in style. will defiantly be returning . Thank you

Very good except for the overpowering smell of a vanilla(?) scent everywhere we went - except, thank goodness, the bedroom. It appeared to be piped in via the air con in public areas & affected some of us quite badly.

Been here many times in the past. This time not quite as good.the hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. Big dip in the bed on both sides. Scuffs and chips out of the wall and furniture etc. Breakfast not as good either. No continental option. No butter available. Sliced bread only. No crusty rolls or other bakery items. Probably won't return

The hotel was super clean and the breakfast buffet was above my expectations.

We used this hotel as a base whilst my son was playing in a sports event nearby. Overall, the hotel was modern, clean and well-presented with plenty of parking available and the bonus of EV chargers on site which weren’t too expensive - but absolutely could have been cheaper as they were not rapid chargers. Room was very nice, although we had to pay a premium to have it as a family room - which basically entailed a camp bed being put in which wasn’t really suitable for a 12 year old, and the bedside table being relocated to squeeze it in, compromising the usability of the space. Great to have a fridge, and some little refreshments available which were topped up during our stay. Blackout curtains did a superb job of creating a dark space for good sleep and the windows were also good enough to shut out the road noise outside. Bathroom was lovely with very nice complimentary toiletries. Bathroom door was extremely squeaky when we checked in, but I reported it to reception and it was sorted by the time we returned from dinner - great service! The staff at check-in were superb. Biggest bugbear was how slow breakfast was on our first morning. I ordered eggs benedict from the menu and it took 25 minutes to arrive, by which time my family had finished eating and gone back to the room as we had to be somewhere. Beware though, weddings on both nights we were there which created lots of noise! Overall, a nice stay, and would certainly consider if staying in the area again.

Very friendly check in, lovely room with super comfy bed. We stayed in Room 226 a Deluxe Room. Breakfast had a great choice. Great location!! Will Definitely come back

Hair dryer broken , air con broken , hole in the curtains letting light through shower gel was empty for the price paid I won’t be rushing back

The hotel was conveniently located for our needs for Derbyshire and S. Yorkshire. The staff were polite and helpful. The restaurant was superb for breakfasts, well stocked and excellently presented. The hotel was exceptional is cleanliness etc and we could not have asked for more. We will certainly use again if we are in the area. Highly recommended.

the reception staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly, text message follow up could not be faulted. bar food was very good. i would definitively stay there again.

Ngl, I really enjoyed my stay. The bed was so nice, the complementarities were really cute (actually got given proper milk) and the bathroom was lovely. My biggest and probably main issue was that our room was right next to what seems like the busiest roundabout in the area and the sound proofing of the room wasn't the greatest. Luckily, I don't have problems sleeping with a lot of noise in the background but my partner wasn't so fortunate and was kept up most of the night until early hours when it was quieter but was then woken up early morning from the traffic again. :'(
