We had a wonderful stay here. We had a room with a balcony looking at the lake. Just beautiful!!!

Hotel Rusall is perched up high on the mountain with the most fabulous view. The owners are kind and accommodating. The rooms were very adequate and comfortable with lovely balconies.

Great homely atmosphere where you feel totally welcome by Gianfranco and rest of the family. Loved our stay there

We stayed here for two nights during july -19. The hotel is run by two older couples that seems to own the area around the hotels. The pro's: Great food with big portions Amazing view over lake como (probably one of the best due to the height) Solid breakfast Nice pool overlooking the lake Spaceous garage for parking your car away from the sun/heat Their pasta with mushrooms is incredible, be sure to try it Con's: Hotel is far away (without car) from anything but farmland, and the road leading up to the hotel is very slim and steep. There is no bar-service by the pool so you need to go up to the main building and try finding someone from the staff It takes a while to get to any of the towns where you would find restaurants, shops etc. Final verdict: The view alone makes this hotel worth the visit. In this price-range you get what you would expect and will most likely be happy you went here for a day or two.

Really excellent family run hotel with excellent home cooking and cannot speak to highly about the proprietors and staff and can only highly recommend you stay here

Very warm welcome by the owner at arrival. After 9 hours driving, we were so hungry, even the kitchen was already closed, they prepared the lunch for us. We received a big towel for shower, one for face and another big towel for the pool. so spoiled! The view from the room, the pool and the garden was amazing!! We spent wholeday at the hotel. The parking was reserved for the guests, which is underground so that the cars stay cool during hot days. I highly recommend this hotel.

Owner was nice, but did not have maps or any information for tourists. The hotel appeared to cater to older and retired Germans. Felt like an outsider.

The views are unbeatable, the staff was so warm and welcoming, great location and the food was excellent. Such a relaxing and peaceful place. Had a great time hanging out by the pool and having lunch or a coffee on the terrace. I also thought the breakfast was very tasty. So much food and all great quality. I will certainly go back!

Our family had three fantastic days at the Rusall Hotell. Lovely serviceminded staff! The view over Ballagio and the Como lake is magnificent. Perfect photo location!

family run business by lovely people. I believe it should be the first destination if you go to como at first time. Car is necessary as the hotel is up to hill takes 25 mins walk from Tremezzino. They have great food and service. Stunning view. One of my best staying globally.

The place was very cute and had amazing views towards the top of the mountain. The breakfast was good! I wouldn't reccoemnd staying here if you don't have a car. Difficult to find a taxi and it's a very steep walk back to the hotel after going into town. Very nice owners that drove us to the ferry when we were leaving, which is at the bottom of the hill from the hotel. There's also no AC so it was very hot as we went in the summer. Overall a nice place just rent a car.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food

Hotel is located top of the hill with fantastic views of Como. Hotel restaurant had excellent food for the entire family (kids 8 and 10), swimming pool with views and a tennis court. The service was very friendly and we enjoyed our stay very much. It felt almost like visiting someone's home. We would definitely want to come back one day.

Welcomed like we were family, superb food and service. Excellent location, loads of help and advice for visiting certain sights around the lake. We had a 2nd floor room with a superb view as promised, all clean and tidy and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a relaxed affair with a vast choice to suit all tastes, eat inside or out too enjoy the glorious view. A true home from home, a place you can unwind and read the paper in a magnificent lounge.

We felt totally at home among this family run hotel. Extremely friendly and pleasant.

Excellent Albergo in stunning position above Lake Como.Family run hotel with excellent service and attention,infact we had problem with our rental car but the owner sorted it all out for us,thank goodness.would recommend but you do need a car for convenience to and from the lake.

Great location but rooms are old, no AC and had a wasps nest outside our window so couldnt open balcony door.

Hotel did not have air conditioning nor a small fridge. We found our stay extremely hot as it was right in the middle of a very hot summer. However, the views from the balcony could not be surpassed.

We arrived late and departed early and the staff was very accommodating.The grounds were much prettier than described or shown in pictures.The area surrounding the Hotel is mostly residential and VERY quiet and peaceful.

Staff were really friendly, pool was a huge added bonus. Food was great and the view was the icing on the cake! The only thing that would have made the stay perfect was air conditioning. Waking up to the view of the lake wasn't a bad alternative though!! Great hotel!

This hotel is perfect, the views were stunning, the hotel & grounds were lovely, beautiful pool with sun loungers but due to the weather we never got to use them. The staff all very nice, dinner was good & reasonably priced. Only downside was that we had to leave, would defiantly go back. Shoud be more than 3 stars.

A friendly family-run hotel in a superb setting overlooking Lake Como with outstanding food, a fine pool and tennis court and easy access to beautiful gardens and villas in the area. Wish we could have stayed longer
