Wi-fi in-accessible. no tea towel to dry cups. Extension lead from one socket which was loose ? legal. No plug for hairdryer near a mirror. No Parking at hotel or in near vicinity without having to pay. 3 things in their favour 1. Clean white bed sheets. 2 clean white towels daily 3. good shower with hot water

No through draft in extreme heat.Idiots always shouting until 2am or engines/alarms running round the side alley where we were put.Only given one flat pillow per person at first and bed never made/room never cleaned or bin emptied just towels changed once.Cheap and cheerful. But at £49 a night expected a certain level of service. Made to pay upfront before we even got to room even though payment was on hold with Expedia.Whole pub looks tired, dated and could do with a lick of paint.Think it just wants to keep “regular louts” happy.Shame.

Very cheap price for room, pub downstairs is great, room was okay, but for the price it was very good

found it to be grubby, in total need of a refurbishment, the only thing to say for it is clean sheets & towels. stuffy room, duvet should be thrown out, could not believe the state of it...think the mice must have had a good go at it. will definitely not be using this hotel again.

All I can say is. Never again. Staff excellent. Understaffed. Had to ask for towels. Pillows. Coffee. No food available. Lack of staff. But of course. Cheap. No parking. Had to park in council case parks. Not cheap. Like I said NEVER AGAIN

Staff friendly. That’s about it. TV didn’t work nobody came to look at it. Room never cleaned the whole time I was there!!! Would never go back again!

I stayed here last year it is a good no frills cheap hotel in a good location. The staff are always very welcoming kind and helpful. Dont expect 5 star accommodation for rates similar to a backpackers.

Awkwardly arranged room with semi-detached accessories, no soap or shampoo provided, but a clean, comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities.

Good value.

The only issue was that the fridge was off and the kettle had issues working.

Old fashioned pub hotel. Rooms are a bit tired but adequate for the purposes of our stay. However the cost was very reasonable.

Good value for money. Only a couple of minutes from the seafront.

Its clean, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot and the staff are friendly.Breakfast can be purchased at an extra charge.If you like watch Sky Sports especially rugby then this is the place to go in Ryde. The beer is good and cheap, there is a large bar area and plenty of atmosphere.I have stayed here on several occasions and will look forward to staying again 😀

Good for a night over when needing to be with the family.

Me and my friend had an enjoyable stay . It is a buzzing hotel in the evening which was good. Very good location but noisy neighbors who played music till late at night. The only problem was the shower was weak and no pressure and the windows were stiff beds were a bit springy.

Very noisy, uncomfortable beds and did not cooperate with us in staying for half an hour more at checkout time.

Good for what we needed. Very convenient for everything.

We're do I start I have stayed in hotels in many countries and this was by far the worst. Room had 3 single beds , 2 of them were so narrow that it was difficult to stay in bed I turned over once and fell out,so decided to try the third bed which looked bigger which it was but all the springs were prominent so very uncomfortable not much sleep was had.one of the double plug socket was dangerous plugged my hair dryer in and the plug began to crackle and smoke told the staff but nothing was done. The beds were never made bathroom was never cleaned bin not emptied shower head wouldn't stay up one single bed was over the bathroom door so not easy to get in and out of the bathroom asked for 2 hand towels but didn't get them. So over all a very uncomfortable stay and to be honest not worth £50 per night if possible a refund or discount would be gratefully recieved

Rooms are above a Victorian pub right in the centre of Ryde. There is no dedicated parking but it's possible to park free nearby free from 6 pm. I only went into the pub once to get the key-otherwise used the side entrance. Stayed with my children in a nice family room, which was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had some loose tiles but what do you expect for £60 a night? Ryde is a good centre. Enjoyed a good meal at Yan Moo. Michelangelo at the bottom of Union Street is also good from past experience. Little bit of noise at night but less than we made... No breakfast but there is a cafe across the road.

Stayed here looking for accessible budget hotel to get away from Bestival crowds. The location is very good and I enjoyed being near the shops, public transport, beach, ferry, weatherspoons for breakfast. But it isn't a hotel it is an inn - a sports pub with some rooms via a side door. The rooms are accessed off narrow corridors. My room had a shared shower and shared bath room and shared toilet. Little bit of a walk around the corner. The room itself is why I am giving The Crown a disappointing review and wouldnt stay again. I dont expect to wake up in the middle of the first night with insects (ants) crawling on the bed sheet and duvet and pillows. When I arrived the window was wide open, curtains wide open with a bright light on. The insects could have come through the window and were attracted to the white bedding. I reported the inspect problem to cleaning staff the next morning who whilst I was out changed the bedding. No problems on night 2. But some insects had returned for nights 3 and 4. The window was closed, light kept off and curtains half drawn.This is why I think they are coming from within the room/building itself.
