Out of the ordinary inn with a full restaurant and pub, includes off-street parking. First-rate menu with a good wine list. The rooms are surprisingly large, clean, modern and comfortable with every square inch of wall space covered with 18th-19th Century art and bric-a-brac. My room had both a full bath tub and a separate walk-in shower. Friendly staff. Within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

Wykeham Arms is absolutely charming historic coaching inn/pub, enlivened by charming staff and decor. Our room was a fun mix of comfort and quirk. The bed was particularly comfortable (including linens, pillows). Food at Wykeham arms is outstanding, creative and served with joy. Small point-the upstairs stairwell could use a bit of a refresh.

The staff were lovely. The position of this hotel was excellent. Fresh milk and a beer were provided in the room fridge. The room was clean but one window catch was missing. The only real negative was the entranceway and stairs were very grubby. I was in a building across from the pub.

Spent a couple of brilliant days in Winchester using the Wykeham Arms as our base. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The rooms were wonderful and the breakfast was great. We would ddfinitely stay there again

I loved my time at the Wykeham Arms. The property was beautiful, the food was great and the staff were always there to answer my questions. I would love to return to Winchester some day and I would definitely stay here again!

Cozy place to stay, comfy room with everything you need for a short stay. Nice food and breakfast offering was fantastic.

Great comfortable rooms. The pub has great beer, food, and the bar area was comfortable with open log fires.

Great old hotel, not really suitable if you have mobility problems. Lovely staff and breakfast. The only downfall is the room was very noisy due to a function on the same floor as our room and the pub downstairs.

Room was accessed by three flights of stairs, ver comfortable and close to the centre of town.

The location is perfect and they have onsite parking for hotel guest. A truly unique hotel and restaurant within walking distance of all of Winchester historic locations

The Wykeham is a historic pub with good food, excellent breakfast. They provide fresh milk in the room, Tpigs tea bags and a bottle of Fullers beer each night. Great location for the City centre and parking on site

Great building, didn’t try evening food but breakfast ok, old building but the floorboards creaked alot in room, staff friendly, car par spaces for about 7 cars, close to cathedral

Great location; staff very pleasant & helpful; rooms are small, & lots of stairs, but typical of old building; decent breakfast; really good house pie. No a/c, which was a problem as heat wave hit when we were there (early September); the two fans provided helped a lot.

Friendly welcome from everyone. Spotlessly clean everywhere. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Lovely room. Perfect start to the South Downs Way hike.

The hotel room (the Post Box) was very spacious with plenty of cupboard and drawer space for hanging and storing clothes. The bathroom was large with all the washing accessories provided. The breakfasts in the pub opposite were excellent and nothing was too much trouble for the serving staff. The only negative point I would mention is that the paintwork in the hotel room looked tired and could do with being freshened up. The hotel is in a very good location with easy access to all the attractions and the High Street restaurants, so no need to use car.

Great location with parking 3 mins walk from the magnificent cathedral serving excellent restaurant quality food with great service. A very charming and characterful pub.

Great location in the centre of town and 5 minute walk from the Cathedral and high Street. We had dinner and it was very good. The HSB beer is superb if you like that sort of thing and they also have a good selections of wine. Staff were very friendly. They have about 8 parking spaces so it can a bit tight. The rooms were comfortable with a coffee machine, tea and free water. This is a very old building with lots of memorabilia reflecting the historical contact the pub has with the town. Breakfast also good with a wide variety of dishes available.

If considering the Bakehouse aka the Garden Suite, please check with the venue beforehand to check whether there's a function in the garden and the function room adjacent (if you want peace and quiet or not to disturb the function by having to walk through it to get to the suite). Temperature in bedroom was unbearable with the heating on. Garden suite is across the road from main pub.

Enjoyed 4 nights at this Pub. Breakfasts are produced fresh and to your liking. Our room the Hamilton was quirky but huge and well appointed. 2 slight provisos. Parking was an issue, its very tight and they fill it to beyond capacity. On the up side they will back your car out for you, if you are unsure of doing it. Second proviso, was TV reception was not great. We often had poor reception for certain channels. Not a huge problem, since with WIFI we could make do.

Wonderful location near the center of Winchester. Had a single room which was a reasonable size. En-suite was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner etc…. Also had coffee and tea in the room. Large selection of items for breakfast and very friendly / helpful staff. Definite would stay here if visiting Winchester again.
