The property itself was great. Staff was great! The area around the property had some sketchy people. But overall great stay!

The breakfast was so-so. It’s been a cold breakfast with a pancake machine. No toast. The room was OK and we had two queen beds, along with the sofa bed. We had three people so the sofa, bed was going to be used. When we pulled away the sofa cushions, it was dirty, and there was all kinds of coins and food crumbs. Disgusting. To top it off, the sofa bed had not been made. There is no sheets, blanket, etc. We called down and they asked us if we’d like to have it made… But it was late. She informed us that the bedding is in one of the drawers. The bedding along with the pillow did not look all that clean or fresh. In any case, it’s a cheap hotel to get what you pay for. It was conveniently located next to the mall, which was great as we were shopping. I’d stay again, but I would not use the sofa bed The hotel at soft could use a little more cleaning in some areas.

Carpet was damp like humidity

When we checked into our room, staff was very nice. Room was nice but had a faint smoke smell. Breakfast was limited to pre-packaged food and fresh pancakes. Got woken up at 5:45 by what we assumed was a fire alarm. Went off three times throughout the morning. Would stay there again for the price and amenities but would bring a scented candle.

The first room we were given smelled like old smoke. They quickly put us in another room, which was better but still had a slight smell. I pulled the A/C filters and therebwas about 1/4" of built up dust/debris on it. I washed them myself and then the smell went away. I told the lady at the front desk and she apologized and made a note for the person in charge. I'm not sure what came of it but she did tell me that Everspring has recently purchased the hotel and that they were working on fixing it up. I gave them a 4 because it seemed sincere. The only other thing is that the hot tub is dangerous. The steps are slippery and its deceiving when entering. You think the steps go all the way across, but they dont. Signage would be good there as i almost fell in and i did slip on the steps. As i was leaving, i heard someone else experiencing the same thing. I think there is potential here if they keep working to fix the problems.

This is the first time we have stayed at this hotel. We will plan to stay here again while in Bismarck. Check in was quick. Reservations were accurate. Parking was easy and convient. The room was large and furnishing were on good condition. There was plenty of linens and bed, plillows and all were comfortable. The small lounge was enjoyable. Breakfast was not great.

Fire alarms randomly pulled and kept going off for an hour at 5AM!

Sheets were dirty

This is an old rundown hotel that has had some Reno’s, but is still not great. Beds are old, pillows lumpy, rooms dark & dated. Air conditioner very loud ran through 3 different loud cycles, towels were thin had strings hanging from them. Breakfast in the morning was all pre packaged food that looked unappetizing, coffee was warm. Would not recommend this hotel, manager told me hotel had just gone through million dollar Reno,you would not of known it. Cancelled stay at Hillcity as it was this chain

Nice and clean, staff super friendly!! Found it awesome that there was a baseball team staying and the left the parents stay in the breakfast area later into the night … most hotels kick you out. Not joking I did like that they let the parents hang out.

Booked this online. I'm familiar with Bismarck so I knew what part of town this was. When I arrived, there were a number of unhoused individuals in the parking lot, tents, campers etc. When I entered the lobby, the smell of cigarette smoke was awful. Tried to cancel but was unable. I didn't stay. Went out to my car and booked a different hotel via the app.
