Hotel was comfortable, food was excellent and staff were both friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient - near the centre of town and the railway station. I would certainly stay there again

Staff were really helpful and always went the extra mile. Hotel is great and only a few minor gripes which would make my rating a 9 rather than 10. Bathroom door snagged on the floor and breakfast room needs soft furnishings as very noisy. On the whole, would and will revisit.

The room is clean and cozy. Since the room hasn't got air conditioning, it is a bit too warm if you don't keep the windows open.

Lovely room and warm welcome. Within walking distance of the coast and town centr.

All the staff were friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean - great value for money as well - Oh and the breakfast started the day off well.

A great hotel with staff to match, the hotel is welcoming and with a warm atmosphere - well located.

The staff at the hotel are superb. Nothing too much trouble. Good food choice and very good waitress service at breakfast time. Room very clean and supplies topped up every day. Hotel in good location, close to shops and theatre, not far from the seafront. TV and WiFi in room. My only complaint is the bed wasn't very comfy. Also, be aware, there is a lift at the hotel but this doesn't service all rooms and there are stairs to some rooms. This wasn't a problem for me but for anybody who does have a problem with stairs then they should mention this when booking.

I have been staying at the Crescent for 54 years. It is now back to genteel splendour and proper Yorkshire hospitality. Breakfasts are excellent, cooked exactly as you like it. Nothing is too much trouble. Congenial bar in the evening and exciting menu in the restaurant. All at reasonable prices.

Great location and brilliant polite and helpful staff... I only come to Scarborough 3 times a year for an overnight, this is where I stay.

Wonderful Boutique hotel....great personal service, and a superb restaurant as well. Will be back!

Fantastic stay at the weekend. Last minute arrangement but well worth it.

Ideal location, very friendly staff, lovely room, relaxing bar area, good hearty breakfast, lovely stay.

Upon arrival, the receptionist was very pleasant and I couldn't fault the room. It was spacious, comfortable and had a nice view. It also had a well appointed bathroom with a separate bath and shower. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well and went down for breakfast. The breakfast was OK with a good selection of cereals and some fruit. I also had a full cooked breakfast and on this, the bacon, egg, beans and toast were all good but the lovely fresh mushrooms were 'deep fried' in oil which detracted somewhat from their taste and I didn't finish them. The sausage also tasted deep fried and didn't taste very good quality either. Had all the breakfast been good, I would have rated 5. All in all, the hotel was generally, very good but I will probably give the sausage and mushrooms a miss for breakfast which is a shame as they are two of my favourite breakfast ingredients.
