The hotel is next to the Hakone Station, and walkable to the main street, very convenient. It is a historic hotel. The rooms are spacious. We had a great stay.

We loved this hotel. So close to the train station and very easy to find and get to. Lovely view of the river beside the hotel. Was nice to walk around in our spare time. There are lots of areas to relax in. Our stay included buffet breakfast that was great and well worth it. The room was spacious, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful and loved the public onsen bath! Would absolutely return here again!

Super convenient location next to the Hakone yumoto station. Provided a good base to explore different places in Hakone. Would definitely stay here again when I'm in Hakone.

Stayed one night and a traditional Japanese room. The room was spacious (for Japanese standards) and clean. Balcony with View and sounds of the rushing river. The highlight of the hotel is definitely the onsen. Multiple indoor and outdoor bathing/soaking opportunities. We spent time in both public and private sections. Private was ¥2000 for 45 minutes. Also, a dry sauna, relaxing room, and massage chairs. Very helpful staff who gave a restaurant recommendation – – which was one of our favorite restaurants in all of Japan.

The property was very conveniently located in Hakone and very close to train station. The room was very large even compared to room in the US. The staff were friendly.

Very nice hotel. Very close walking distance to the train station of Hakone-Yamato and restaurants and shops I really enjoyed my stay. The only thing that i didnt like was that the smoking area wasnt closed properly so several times i smell the cigarettes in the hallway

Staff went of and beyond great customer service. Great onsen accomodated ladt minuted private onsen request. Staff pub was exceptional and tempura set course delicious

We stayed in the Japanese style room, which we thoroughly enjoyed! The room was extremely spacious, including the bathroom, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. There were pockets of space within the room for us to sit and enjoy a cup of tea & snacks while enjoying the view, and the overall stay felt very peaceful. The room was also extremely clean. We had checked in early, but came back only later at night to collect our keys, and all of our luggages have been sent up to our rooms ahead of time. They have a private onsen, but persons with tattoos are not allowed as all guests share the space. So just something to be mindful of. The hotel is hillside, but there is a service lift that you can take instead of heading up the stairs. Location wise, very ideal if you're looking to be near Hakone-Yumoto Station. It is only a 5 minute walk away. As most attractions in Hakone are located further out, you'll have to factor in some time to head up the mountain on the tram and cablecar. Being located near Hakone-Yumoto allowed us to get into Tokyo really easily at the end of our trip. There is a stretch of street along the Hakone-Yumoto station near the hotel with lots of shops selling food & souvenirs. Most of them close around 6pm.

Big spacious room , it has all the amenities. Very clean, best thing it’s right connected to train station making it easy to do your hakone loop or catch train back to Tokyo or other cities.

The air conditioning in my room was broken and the staff were good and changed my room. They didn't change the number and so the private bath I booked caused confusion and mis communication and ended up with me missing out. The front desk manager did apologise to me personally.

We are given a very small room for 3 adults in the side building. Barely able to stand 3 persons beside the 3 beds, let alone to lay open luggages. The toilet flush bang noisily at 120dB when flushed. Quiet room though. Outdoor onsen so small that it can only accomodates 2 persons.

The property is central in the Yumoto area, very close to the station, with a convenient elevator at the base of the cliff and end of the bridge leading from the station. The facilities are expansive and well adorned. The problem came with communication - I left something in the room and, after I checked out, I both phoned and emailed them but did not get any response. I also asked Expedia to help me follow up with the hotel but got no response from it either. It really lowered my impression of the hotel. In comparison, the hotel Hakone Airu were very responsive.

There are the best onsen at Hakone Yumoto!! Low temperature sauna is my favorite. The main onsen tub has the gentle bubbles and also Jet bus. It’s not a common. Highly recommend.

Overall good stay, great baths (especially the outdoor wooden bath), simple but fun kids area for our child, and accommodations were comfortable. Extremely convenient hotel location, at hakone yumoto station, which is 2 minutes by foot. Bonus for tatami area for sleeping on futons. The property is a bit rundown with evidence of wear and tear, and bathroom in our room wasn’t the cleanest.
