Just back from an overnight stay at the Blue Ball Inn and it was lovely. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, room lovely and clean and has everything you need. We had our evening meal there which was delicious and breakfast the next morning was just as good. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend

In a beautiful area, staff were so friendly, conscientious, breakfast was amazing, especially their pastries. Overall 10 plus!

Very good, lovely comfortable bed, great shower and loved the cookies, a nice treat. Dinner was excellent but service could have been better considering it wasn’t busy but no big deal. Would definitely recommend but ask for a room at the back

My stay at the blue ball was really good,beyond anything that u would expect as good service! The rooms are good size and well furnished and u have tea, coffee etc and home made cookies! The staff were great, looking after us with food cooking near time of close and early breakfast, I recommend this completely.perfect. Gregg white. / surrey

The blue ball inn is very nice,the only thing we found was the bed was very hard.... Breakfast could of been abit better as in cheap sausages and bacon. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Being so close to our home we enjoy just a short break without too much travel. Brilliant car park, though we do not have a dog, it is dog friendly. Good menu. Room a bit claustrophobic as facing onto main road the windows were closed plus secondary glazing. . We like our windows open with fresh air. It got a bit hot and airless. Lovely clean bed, towels and bathroom. Good powerful shower. Good quality complimentary soaps etc. could have done with a place to put things like make up etc. also Power sockets were not in right place to plug hair dryer in to see in the wardrobe mirror. An old pub burnt down and rebuilt perfectly but modern things like sockets so important. As for Wi-Fi…oops complicated and not successful on a couple of our appliances. Other than these little snags we really enjoyed our short stay of three nights, welcomed by the staff who were very stretched due to staff shortages.

We were struggling to shower, we cant use a bath, mobility issues, my wife could not get out of shower without my help. Toilet dirty, needs a good clean, bleach and brushing needs to be a regular item on cleaning jobs. Bar food poor choices, and main meals far to expensive for us, we are both retired and cannot afford this venue. Hosts ok but they never asked how we were etc. The first morning at breakfast 25th. Sept. the lady on duty didnt greet us very well, the attitude was all wrong. I think she was the wife of the manager, if its a 3 star hotel, we were surprised, too expensive for 3 stars. sadly a disapointng stay.

A fantastic experience, I just wish we had stayed longer. Food in the restaurant was 10/10. Hope to return.

Great location with Parking, all as expected. T.V a bit fiddly to operate. Our Room faced the Road which is fairly busy and Noisy. Breakfast was lovely and great portion.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of July 2023. The accomodation, staff and the great restaurant (my wife thought the trout she had one evening was wonderful) were all 5*. Would I stay there again? Most definately....

We had a wonderful 2 night stay, lovely clean and comfortable accommodation, super friendly staff, especially at breakfast and check in. So nice to be comfortable in such a beautiful old building with modern facilities, plenty of parking and a very warm welcome. Perfect.

Fantastic hotel in fabulous condition and excellent food

My Son and I stayed overnight, as we had travelled from Derbyshire to attend a funeral the next day. We arrived late and was greeted by a friendly gentleman. The room was very cosy, warm and comfortable. The breakfast was really good too. We would definitely stay again.

Quaint property with lots of charm, but road facing room with lots of traffic noise ruined the experience overall. Restaurant for dinner was overpriced with small portions.

Warm welcome on arrival from young Will. He even carried my partners bag up for me. The room was perfect, nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent for us ,recommend the veggie cooked breakfast. Great value for money and even free parking on site. The Blue Ball in at Sidford is a great place to stay

Lovely old Inn in cute area. Car park opposite. Beautiful in the pub area and nice room with cool artwork and period furniture. Comfy bed. Good size shower. Unfortunately it is tight next to the road with means noise all night. This was worsened by the extremely hot temperature inside the room. Very good breakfast with wonderful service.

It was a lovely cosy pub, food was excellent, quick service. Room was very clean, everything you want for a stay, good breakfast to wake up to. Would definitely recommend, and would visit it again. Thank you Blue Ball lnn.

Bed was very comfortable and food good especially the breakfast. Water took a long time to drain from bath seemed to be slightly blocked. The staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a relief manager in charge and whilst he was helpful and cheery most of the time, he was not used to the hotel side of things which he freely admitted. We would definitely book again.

We stayed one night as we have done before. The inn was as welcoming as ever and the room and breakfast were as we would expect from past experience. We would stay again.

Food was great, room was comfortable, staff very pleasant.

The staff were all so helpful and cheerful. Disappointed we had cold water in shower for 2 days but we’re moved to a new room on 3rd night. No milk pods in room for drinks and fresh milk was sour by morning. The televisions on wall are so very small and kept pixelating. Breakfast was yummy 😋. Location was brilliant with good parking.
