Since the hotel is really in the inner town, it is a bit noisy at nights. Plus, there was no air condition, so we tried to sleep with open windows, thus heard the party people go by. However, the location is perfect. Nice rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff!

We were not aware that there was no elevator and only a steap staicase, which was inconvenient considering our heavy luggage. Our double room was too small for two people with three large suitcases. On arrival, the hosts acknowledged that the room was very room, but other than polite contrition, they didn't make any effort to compensate for this inconvenience in more concrete terms. The breakfast was not good value for money: a comprably narrow range of options. The staff apprentice who served us was very kind and considerate, but not up to the job (yet) to the job. All things considered, despite the noticeable efforts on the part of the hosts to make us feel welcome and happy, I wouldn't consider this place again.

Very nice room with a good bed, pillows and a great shower! Not so good was that it took a long time to get the room warm in a very chilli night. An extra blanket would have been good to have. Also not so good "for me" where the long, narrow and weird steel stairs up to the room. Please don't get me wrong, I would certainly stay there again :)

Nice hotel in a great location

Some of the best customer service I have ever seen. They worked to find me two extra days when my trip was extended. Friendly and helpful desk staff. Very clean and modern rooms. No AC but a large fan was supplied. Flawless room and building. Beautiful and lively neighbourhood with many shops and restaurants.

Lovely property in a great location within a 10 min walk to train station. Penthouse apartment was wonderful. Full kitchen was very useful with grocery store nearby. Very comfortable with a great view.

We’d stayed here before and liked it. But seems to very much depend which room you get. This trip we had two different rooms over 4 days (we’d made two different bookings) and the 1st room was supposed to be the fancier (more expensive) room. Frankly we preferred the 2nd room much better. Good location and not bland like so many other hotels :) Would recommend.

Very cool place to stay in Groningen - comprised of apartments along the same street as the reception and restaurant in historic buildings. Really lovely and unique. We were there in August, but had to good fortune to encounter relatively mild weather so were very comfortable. But as you'll see in other reviews, the apartments don't have air conditioning (it's not permitted in these historic buildings) so beware staying here in very hot weather. Our apartment was up a very steep flight of stairs - very charming and Dutch - and a member of the staff was kind enough to lug my very heavy bag up those stairs. But be sure to ask on making a reservation about how many floors up your room is if you're concerned about the climb. The staff was also very helpful in making restaurant recommendations - their helpfulness made our stay even better.

The hotel is located in a wonderful area, right along the canal. The architecture blends nicely into the existing historic context. We had a deluxe room for our stay. It was clean, comfortable and had a nice balcony overlooking the canal. We’d highly recommend for your trip to the beautiful Groningen!

I was disappointed with our room in Hotel Miss Blanche. The photos give high expectations, but unfortunately the reality was not so good, and the furniture in our room was rather basic. The rooms are spread across different buildings in a small area along the canal, and I guess that the time of refurbishment differs depending on which building the room is in. We stayed in a double room, and the window looked into a small courtyard with very tall walls so not much natural light made it to into our room. In addition, there was walkway right outside our window, meaning it was not possible to leave the curtains fully open. And to make things even worse, the lighting in the room was "romantic" even on the highest brightness, so that it felt quite dingy even in the middle of the day. The bed was also incredibly soft which is okay for some, but causes back problems for others (me included). The location and staff were great, but I wouldn't recommend to stay here because of the room.

Lovely room in a beautiful location in Groningen center. Due to the current heatwave the room was extremely hot.

Great location and a spacious, clean, comfortable suite to spend a weekend. Gets noisy but that’s to be expected due to the location (ear plugs were provided though, thanks!). Room was at the top of 3 steep flights of stairs so for anyone with mobility issues, please let the hotel know when making the booking so they can accommodate you in an appropriate building/room.

Great concept. Several small but new apartment buildings in a surrounding square. Each floor has no more than 2 or 3 individual units. Big spacious and clean. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Very large, comfortable room with well-equipped kitchen. Easy walk to central Groningen.
