Positives - beautiful old home, staff very friendly and professional, conveniently located to subway/bus for transport into downtown. Areas to improve - better room fan for those warm days, expanded front desk/help hours, access ro kitchen for late evening wine on porch.

Very nice place to stay. We had 3 couples in our group and all appreciated we had our own bathrooms. Convenient location, we took an Uber to Granville Island one evening and then took another Uber down to where we caught our cruise ship. We would definitely stay here again. Really enjoyed the lovely breakfast as well.

We booked this in January and arrived in July during a record heat spell. There was no a/c only a fan. It was very hot inside with no option for a portable a/c unit. This was unfortunate since the location, breakfast, staff, front porch were exceptional! We would return again but not mid summer. It is close to downtown and on a beautiful tree line street.

It was a little frustrating to get upcharged for our kids being with us. I thought it was made clear there was 4 staying in the 2-room place, but the record only showed 2 adults. So we were required to pay extra because there were 4 of us...even though it was the exact same rooms. Had that not occurred this would be an easy 5* review.

Great location and close to bus and skytrain stop (Broadway City Hall). Jose was particularly helpful and patient with providing all kinds of directions to get around. I saw him a few times and he was super friendly; I was able to leave my bag for the day as I showed up a few hours before check in. Safe neighbourhood.

It was good! A funky smell in the lobby! Like a cat lived there for a few years.

The place is in a great area close to everything. Staff are incredible. Room was clean and we had everything we needed. The lodge itself is due for renovation.

Cambie is a great place to stay! quaint little room but very neat and clean!

The only item that I recommend that change is that there is a parking space above the parking garage that makes it very challenging to back out of the garage. They may want to eliminate that spot for safety’s sake…

The house and room were quaint and cozy. The amenities were as expected. The queen-size bed was comfortable and fit the room adequately. Attached bathroom was small but functional. The breakfast was quite basic with a limited variety of entrees which were freshly prepared. Service was pleasant and polite. The tip jar was, however, a surprise and not appropriate (as compared to many other B&B’s visited. The location was perfect for our itinerary and access to all the city was easy since there was a SkyTrain Station three blocks away. All in all a very good experience. We will continue to patronize Cambie Lodge for future Vancouver visits.

This was super cozy. Staff was soo friendly and spent a fair amount of time giving recommendations to us. Breakfast was also super yummy!

Very comfortable clean and cosy. Mostly quiet with some traffic near by. Great neighbourhood for walking. Close to transit, good restaurants and shopping. Even our bank was near by. Great breakfast itoo! Would highly recommend!

Close to downtown Vancouver, and Granville island. Beautiful neighborhood.

The stay was fine, the reception person was not. Simple request to print out boarding passes was a major issue. Gave up after being told I must complete my check in on my phone, do a screenshot, send it to her, then she would print it. Standing in front of two active computer screens, one logged in Firefox the simple task of logging into United Airlines and print out my boarding passes she said it is not permitted. Seems the other B&B’s in Canada had NO problems

This property is located in a convenient place, with short distances to a metro station, bus stops, a shopping center, and many diverse foods. In the meantime, it is very quiet at night. The room we stayed were clean and the staffs were friendly. We booked a two-bed room and it was featured with a small kitchen, microwave and a refrigerator. There was a free self-parking spot next to the property. There were few small issues including the water pressure was quite low at the bathroom (but it was ok in other places); the wifi signal was very weak for the inner bedroom; the breakfast place provided excellent food, but may consider improve the vent fan -- we became quite smelly after the cook made eggs for the guests. Other than that, it was a great stay. We look forward to staying again.

We arrived earlier than expected and they were more than willing to give us our key as the room was ready. It was so nice to have time to settle in! Everyone we dealt with - hostess, Chef, staff - was so friendly. We will definitely stay again.

The property is very charming and the rooms are well appointed. Breakfast was very good. Definitely will recommend it. The only problem was the water pressure in the bathroom sink in the Oak room, there was almost no water flow.

Cambie Lodge Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful historic building in a very attractive tree-lined neighbourhood filled with beautiful historic buildings near City Hall in Vancouver, B.C. Three good restaurants are a two-minute walk from Cambie Lodge B&B, and half a dozen more restaurants are within a five minute walk, including Michelin-guide Vij's. Cambie Lodge has been intelligently refurbished to provide modern amenities while keeping the historic charm inside and out. Everything was extremely clean and very well organized. The furniture was solid. The comfortable mattresses are firm yet springy. The beds have fluffy duvets, and the duvet covers, sheets, and pillow cases are all of pleasantly crisp cotton. Both of the cooks who take turns making breakfast for the guests bake flaky, buttery, melt-in-your mouth croissants every morning and do short-order breakfasts by request from fresh ingredients. Their fluffy succulent omelettes are a real treat, and their french toast is a new favourite. The cooks and all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and efficient. In particular, Bernice the main concierge, is outstanding, and her well-organized Guest Book is an extremely useful guide to helpful resources, to many restaurants, to local attractions, to Vancouver highlights and is cross-referenced to subsets of geographical areas. Our first visit to Cambie Lodge B&B was for four days in mid-February 2024, and Cambie Lodge B&B is now our pick for future visits to Vancouver.

Everything was good and pleasant except the mattress. We could feel the springs. The matter really needs to be replaced.

Pros: Great Breakfast, off street parking, location Cons: Room had dirty walls and carpet, burnt out light bulbs, shower scalds if someone flushes a toilet, sink is beside bed instead of in bathroom, chipped, old furniture and bedding, yard had a car in it that has probably been there for 10 years and a boat.
