Staff was incredibly unfriendly!

This use to be an amazing place. Best way to describe it. Disneyfied and food is sub par for the price. Staff is friendly if you have kids or a big group this may be the place.

The hotel was clean and the rooms comfortable. The WiFi was good. No outside seating. Noisy and rushed. Completely out of place with the area. It felt like a Vegas hotel that was trying but not succeeding. Incredibly expensive.

Excellent hotel with something for everyone. Family friendly, outstanding staff service and delicious meals at all restaurants.

Our stay was enjoyable and mostly positive. The lifeguards, hotel staff, THE FOOD and the food service/wait staff (at the beach/pool bars and eateries as well as the indoor, nicer restaurants), general cleanliness, gym, water park, were all 10/10. We really appreciated the availability of water stations, CLEAN outdoor restrooms, towels, etc. There were a few minor but notable detractors. Daily, we were only left one wash cloth by housekeeping- seems insignificant, but I have never stayed anywhere that only gave one per day. We had to call the front desk multiple times to request more. The Starbucks near Stix Noodle eatery was absolutely dreadful. On 2 occasions they forgot entirely to put our food order in and acted annoyed when we flagged this after waiting 10+ mins. If you order anything other than black coffee, your order is made poorly, and if you ask for anything- i.e. confirmed they heard your order correctly or asked for forks with your food, you got an eye roll or dirty look. These employees were so rude without fail every single day. After several consecutive days of being treated like utter inconveniences to these people, we opted to wait a bit longer in the line of the smaller Starbucks, where we were treated like actual human beings by the employees. This was the worst Starbucks experience I've ever had. I'd love to see this remedied for future guests. Would also appreciate recycling bins throughout the resort for environmental sustainability & support.

My first to the Bahamas was definitely an enjoyable one esp. staying at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. I was warmly welcomed by Martiqua who went over and beyond to make sure my next trip to the Bahamas, I call G.H Baha Mar home. Check-in was smooth and I didn’t have to wait too long for my luggage to be delivered. The room was clean, aesthetically pleasing and vivid cinematic views night and day. The hotel has many restaurants but Sticks (Asian cuisine) became my fave. Most of the staff was very pleasant and help esp. navigating the hotel. There’s lots to do e.g catch a show, try your luck in the casino, go on a peace walk and shopping. I must say shopping from the high-end brands wasn’t that bad. Also got my make-up done at MAC after spending about $85 (the make-artiste definitely slayed). I know with all the things to do on the property, one might not want to leave but I suggest you explore the island. I ask Martiqua for places to visit during the day and night-life and she was eager to share all her recommendations, thank you again Martiqua. Getting transport from the hotel was easy. I didn’t have to wait long and was given the option of cash or credit card taxi. Like I mentioned before, I’m most definitely returning to the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar on my next visit to the Bahamas and I hope this helps narrows down someone’s choice. Wow, is the only word to describe this place. This property has it all. From world class golf, Vegas style casino, to its own waterpark, the beautiful waters of the Caribbean, to seven or eight pools, 220+ restaurants, bars, nightclubs, etc. I can’t think of anything else you would need and what this place offers. This is truly a one-of-a-kind resort. My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary there and we’re just blown away. The service is really hit or miss. We stayed in the east tower and the employees at Starbucks could not have been more rude. Other than that, the people were super friendly everywhere we went. I guess the only complaint I might have is the cost. Everything at this place is crazy expensive and there is no getting around it. If you are on a budget, forget about it. If you want to have an amazing time and will not sweat spending $1000 or so over a few days on incidentals, you cannot beat it. My only other recommendation is to never fly Bahamasair. They canceled our flight there and back for no reason.
