Great stay. We stay over there every year around the time of my birthday. Beautiful views, quiet, secluded and the restaurant is really nice.

Very good chef Bishan. Very well designed studio apartment. Not too far to drive to Waiuku for other dining. Beach good for walking . We were there in the winter so too cold to swim etc. Great steeping off place for Awhitu Peninsula

A lovely restful retreat. Watching the sun set from our studio was amazing. Just stayed one night. Wish it was more. But we will be back. Didn’t realise breakfast was included. A lovely surprise and the bacon, eggs and hash tots were delicious.

Loved the Spa and outdoor baths. View was amazing. Clean tidy and all very new. Has everything we needed. Could get better pillows for a good nights rest.

No VIP Access ? Only restaurant at the property - told me there are fully booked for dinner and can’t accept any more diners. My family of 2 adults and 2 young children had to go hungry for the night.

Still a great property. The restraint staff seem to forget that they are working a resort and seem to forget it's about the whole experience.

Nice view and close to the beach. The receptionist is not friendly. I understand it was busiest time during the christmas and new year but its not a excuse. I paid $20 for the late check out, but the cleaner still asked us to leave at 10?? The Spa- I booked a time slot online 2 days before staying. 10 min Before entering the spa I checked with reception. The receptionist told me just go to the spa. When I arrived the spa, they still asked me to wait another 15mins. The staff were unprofessional. Breakfast service very slow.

We stayed at Castaways once before and had an excellent stay. That was the reason we chose to take our parents visiting from overseas there. Chalet 18 we stayed in was old, didn’t think it was worth the $$ we paid. The windows hadn't been cleaned, the carpet was old, stained, flat and damp, the aluminium windows were pealing off. It was very basic compared to the chalet we stayed before which was a shame. The food and drinks were decent but the fruit flies in the restaurant seemed to bother everyone. Shame the stone cooked steak was taken off the menu. The spa was amazing. In general the staff were very friendly and helpful. Just the one thing that seemed consistent from our last time.

Stopover one night in Catasway, quiet place and beautiful view. Staffs are kind. The breakfast is good starting from 7.30am

While the scenery is pleasing, the studio accommodation felt more akin to a 3 star motel than a resort, with cheap fittings and dated décor. Buffet breakfast was also substandard, with no à la carte options available. Overall, the entire place fell far below what was expected for the price.
