Gorgeous hotel with ample natural light, comfortable beds, hot showers, and air-condition. Staff are super super nice and helpful. Hotel serves coffee and bread in the morning which is a really pleasant way to start the day. The hotel also takes precautions to keep guests safe at night by locking up and having a 24/7 staff on duty. I was beyond happy with my stay here.

A most pleasant place. The location is great. It is quaint and yet comfortable. The continental breakfast is on the extreme minimalist side, but is consumed in a beautiful situation. All of the staff were super.

The hotel was great! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has nice fountains and places to sit. Very relaxing. The room is clean and comfortable. The location is good. Close enough to the pedestrian street but far enough where it's quiet. Overall a great stay!

It was close to Centro, which was nice. Our room happened to be behind a club that closed at 3:30 AM on the other side of the block, so we heard faint music when trying to sleep. Overall, it was fine!

Beautiful garden setting that encouraged their guests to mingle over coffee in the morning. The staff was a pleasure to deal with and I had no issues checking in or out. Very clean. There is no air-conditioning and I had convinced myself that I wouldn't need it but, I did. The room had a ceiling fan and a window that opened but it was hot. Good bed (but firm for me), lots of pillows and steady internet.There were no toiletries and the towels were old, worn and as stiff as a board from being sun dried. I was given a jug of water and a glass but even when I left the glass on the floor with the used towels, it was never changed. It's the little things that aren't expensive that can make all the difference for one's stay.

The price is great, super clean, stayed 6 nights. Many expats living at Las Mariposas, great area for access to shops, park, restaurants, pharmacy etc. The breakfast is really just Coffee & a biscuit with jam and cereal. Staff was wonderful & most helpful with any and all things needed.

The location is unbeatable. The room was comfortable and very clean. The staff could not be nicer; we had to leave very early in the morning and come back very late at night during my stay, and they received our dry cleaners and called taxis for us. They also recommended us places to visit. All with a genuine smile and wanting to help. We will definitely stay at Las Mariposas next time.

The location is very good, and the property is unique and beautiful. Everone working here is very helpful, friendly and efficient, and there are many interesting people staying here to share travel experiences with.

I can see everyone raves about this hotel, and it's true the service is good and common areas are pretty, but I think your experience will be highly dependant on what room you get. I, unfortunately, as a solo traveler, was given the "studio" beside the entrance, only windows overlooking the entrance so very little privacy and also noisy in the morning when people are having breakfast. But there worst part were the tiny little bugs everywhere, crawling out of the drains.. like flies, that couldn't fly yet. They got on everything and particularly liked the warm screen of my laptop. Also, had a friend visit and their bag was covered in these little tiny bugs. It may be just this room, but was pretty gross. As I was told there were no other rooms available, I was not able to switch. Also, if you wanted to use the fridge or cups in the studio, you would be charged an extra $100 MXN pesos per day, despite not booking this particular room. There was also a bit of a sewer smell (not uncommon in Mexico, but quite strong from kitchen sink) and the toilet does not accept toilet paper.

The place is super clean, staff really helpful, breakfast was inclueded which it was a nice surprise also we got the opportunity to met really awesome people during breakfast. Great location!!! No doubts I will stay with you for the next time.

Amazing place! The best place I’ve stayed in my 10yr of visiting Oaxaca. It’s gorgeous, comfy, perfect location, overly gracious staff and it’s eco-friendly. I cannot recommend it enough.

Quality care in this small hotel located in central Oaxaca, near Plaza de Los Leones. The reservationist is friendly as well as the entire staff. The rooms are kept clean and if you want privacy, you need only ask-If you want your room left alone, or cleaned less frequently, simply let them know. Lovely courtyard in the central area. The only drawback; you must put up with some of the lonelier ex-pats, especially if you are a couple traveling as friends. I traveled with a great friend and if we ate at the communal breakfast table, I could not help but notice the regular Gidget; trying to win my friend's affections. Aside from the fractured world we live in, and the overwhelming loneliness during these times of virus and crisis, Las Mariposas is a haven from the noise of the city. It offers a great price and a cultural experience.

Mi estadia en el hotel la Mariposa fue de un ambiente tan inesperado me atendieron muy Bien el cuarto para mi el cuarto muy elegante el ambiente muy familiar todo bien cerca del hotel un hermoso parque, trasporte, restaurants farmacias, panaderias, clinicas medical, doctores y muchos lugares pa vistar racomiendo que visiten Oaxaca y se hospeden en el hotel las Mariposas.

Flew in from USA to visit family and needed a place in town to stay as the taxis stop going to my city at that time of night. Comfortable. Clean and very friendly service. A great couple night stay kind of hotel

Hotel Las Mariposas is one of my favorite places to stay in the entire world. The staff is like a family, the environment is safe and beautiful, the gardens are magnificent and the location is perfect for walking in the center of Oaxaca.

This is really nice hotel. The staff is always very helpful and nice. They go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. The room was clean. They had drinking water available all the time without additional cost. It’s close to everything and quiet at night I highly recommend it!
