Nice B and B in Charlottesville. The only inconvenience is the shared bathroom, but it was quiet, the bed was very comfortable, and Flame and Raven are nice hosts. There's continental breakfast items in the morning. The house is very eco-conscious.

This was a lovely place. Very clean, spacious, beautiful artwork and plants. Terrific location for visiting our son at UVA. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. It was the perfect place for us to stay to attend our son’s graduation.

Understated. Friendly not intrusive. Has all of what is needed without the impersonal ambiance of an hotel or motel.

Our stay at the Fairhaven Guesthouse was very comfortable. The home was clean and accommodating. The proprietors were very pleasant and accommodating. The exterior of the accommodations could use some curbside updating. We would absolutely stay at Fairhaven again and would recommend it.

Like any lodging, Fairhaven has both good and bad points: PRO: Raven and Flame, the hosts, are most helpful Location is convenient to Monticello, UVA, downtown mall Quiet residential neighborhood DIY breakfast--ingredients are in the kitchen so you can make what you want when you want it Price is great CON. Shared bathroom Steps from the street to the front door (and the railing was unstable), then additional stairs inside You can hear the people in the adjacent rooms No TV, newspapers or magazines, although the wifi is good If you looking for a charming B&B, this isn't it. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay--almost like a hostel--do consider Fairhaven Guesthouse.

There wasn't a continental breakfast setup instead you had to cook it yourself. IN addition we didn't get a queen size bed as was advertised.

We would have liked a few more options for the get your own continental breakfast, eg cereals, juice, toppings for toast. Just a bit more of making you feel special would be not hard, but well worthwhile!

It is not convenient because of the shared bath room. The breakfast has to be prepared by ourselves.

Small comfy space in Charlottesville. Flame, the host, was very welcoming and professional. The room was sufficient for me, queen size bed, with dresser, closet, chair, and bed side table. One thing to keep in mind is the shared bathroom in the morning takes a little planning if you're in a rush to get out.

Stayed one night, was in town for a concert at the Jefferson. It was walkable. The house was great, lots of green things going on-I wish i could implement everything they have at my own home!

The place was shabby at best. The room was very tiny, with low quality towels and linens. There were holes in the ceiling and dust on the headboard. There was no boxspring and the mattress was thin. The pillows were all lumpy and terribly uncomfortable. The bathroom and bedroom were in need or repair and updating. You had to make your own breakfast and wash your own dishes. It was more like a rooming house. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The bed seems to be a little short for my average height and the bathroom is shared with several other rooms. To our surprise we had to make our own Breakfast and wash the dishes by ourselves. Don't know about the hygienic part on this. Can't understand the high rating of TripAdvisor

Overnight stay while husband had medical tests. Hard to find.
