Staff was fantastic. Our bathroom flooded because the drain clogged and some of the lights didnt work. The bed wasnt comfortable but it was right in town and a GREAT location.

I had roaches in my bathroom. They tried charging us tourism tax and VAT tax on two seperate transactions after they took payment for our 3 night stay at check in. The staff was rude and incompetent.

the pool was terrible

The gym is very poor with quite no equipment, the pool also poo, not sure it is functional.Overall this is a 3 stars.

It was fine, centrally located, nice balcony overlooking the city. They charged me an extra tax when I checked out even though i showed them it had been paid online.

Amazing and convenient!

I stayed at the Hotel Fleur de Lys for four nights in April 2021. The hotel was generally quite good and offered the full range of services I would expect from a business hotel: a very full breakfast buffet, in-room safe and refrigerator, money exchange, assistance with arranging transport to and from the airport, and excellent wifi. The front office staff were responsive and professional. All-in-all I was quite satisfied with my stay. That said, there were a few small issues which detracted somewhat from the hotel experience. I was unable to open the in-room safe on arrival, and in spite of two separate requests for it to be repaired, no one ever came to fix it, and I was unable to use the safe during my stay. I believe that was an issue with the repair person rather than with the front desk staff. Also, a power outage just as I was preparing to check out made it impossible for me to pay with a credit card, since the hotel had no back-up power system and their credit card machine and internet service were off-line. At some point during my last day at the hotel the air conditioning stopped working, and I was reluctant to ask the desk to service it, given my experience with the in-room safe. Fortunately the weather outside was cool, and I opened the balcony door to cool off the room. I would certainly stay here again, especially in consideration of the limited range of options in downtown Dakar.

I was staying at the hotel for two nights, I was surprised that there was no room service. Reasonable maintenance. Good hotel for its price.

Breakfast buffet was very nice. Views from 11th and 12th floors are excellent.

1. Hotel is in good central location with in the walking distance to local market and few very good restaurants. 2. The area is relatively quiet but this will depend on which side of the hotel you get your room. 3. Room was functional and comfortable but relatively dark. 4. The reception staff was helpful but not all members speak English so if you can brash-up on your French. 5. Good breakfast with reasonable choices on the second top floor of the hotel with helpful staff 6. Great view of Dakar from the breakfast room!

It’s best for business travelers, as the rooms are small and it’s in the central business district. Amazing rooftop views and great breakfast buffet! And the helpful staff went above and beyond several times.

Arrived way before the required check in time. The reception was helpful and immediately showed me to my room. The stuff were efficient. The breakfast was excellent. The location is superb. My first visit to this hotel. For sure I will be back!

So my wife and I spent about 7 nights at the hotel. Everyone, from the guard and security outside to the front desk, to the bell boys, room service, cleaning staff, and breakfast buffet servers were extremely nice and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. As a fellow Senegalese, I was very proud to see my people handle their business and work in a friendly and very professional way. And the GM was outstanding. He took the time to greet us and always had a minute to chat with us and make sure everything was on point. Big hello to the front desk staff especially Aissatou who made us feel very welcome.

The waitstaff was always courteous and patient with my poor French which is definitely a plus for a tired traveler. The chef could spend more time selecting some new dishes to try at breakfast as it's a bit tedious but still tasty. Training on the meaning of Gluten Free would be good as no one seemed to understand - even with my celiac card explaining my requirement. I was always impressed that the man taking care of my room was quick, efficient, and timely - he could do the room while I was at breakfast and he did a great job in the process. The front door minders were great! They could summon a taxi quickly and do the negotiations before I even jumped in the car. Overall it was excellent, and I would gladly return.

The front desk staff were very friendly. However, a solid 5-star goes to housekeeping. They were excellent!! On the flip side, the rooms were fairly small especially the bathroom. Once thing I would recommend managent to replace are the TOWELS. They are super old and very hard. The bed is okay but the pillows aren't comfortable. Dakar has a lot of nice hotels with outstanding amenities so Fleur de Lys needs to catch up, not so much with the 5-stars but with other 3 and 4 atars.
