Wonderful experience!

The hotel was beutiful, rooms where clean, and its location was nice & quiet. My only concern was dinner, it took a while to be served on and food to be delived. The place was not full or busy, short on staff? Maybe.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. Breakfast was great. Our restaurant meal was quite tasty and the dirty martinis were excellent! Nothing bad to say about this place

Fantastic place to stay! Clean, great service, convenient drive to area attractions, but secluded enough and quiet for relaxing evenings/nights. Wonderful higher-end restaurant at must if you stay there, and great breakfast served in your room every morning. Definitely will stay there again if we're back in the area.

Stayed at the log cabin and very nice and comfortable.

I stayed in one of the cabins. It was clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. I loved that they brought breakfast to me each morning! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The owners were very friendly. The spa staff was wonderful and the massage was the best one I've had in awhile. The room was clean and spacious. The tub and the view was amazing. However, with the price of it all there is only one reason I wouldn't go back. The Food. I do not like giving a bad review unless I truly believe I can't find any positive feedback. And here I unfortunately cannot. The breakfast: I got on day one. It is delivered to the room, which is nice, but it was really bad. It was French toast with allegedly fresh peaches, blueberries, a yogurt parfait and bacon. All of these things I serve in my own restaurant. None of it executed properly. The French toast had too much egg wash in my opinion so it had these gummy edges around it. The peaches smelled like fish. Either they were not stored properly or they touched raw seafood. Neither of which is okay. The Blueberries were not picked through, there were quite a few bad ones. The yogurt parfait was going untouched because... bad fruit. The bacon was terribly overcooked. I went to pick a piece up and it shattered. I quickly gave up home and drove into town where lucky Galena Bakehouse saved the day. The dinner: I could go on for days but I only have so many words left. Long story short everything was underseasoned, the sides were grossly small portions. The wellington was terrible, i had to send it back once. The second time was hardly "better". It all smelled off and didn't taste any better. Dissatisfied.

We loved our stay here! We booked a last minute trip to go skiing, and this was a great choice for our stay! The staff was so helpful and friendly, and the food was amazing! The Inn was also very close to the ski resort which was so convenient.

It was a beautiful cabin, however first night there took a shower and no hot water. Warm at best. Closet door was broke, would not shut all the way, painters tape still on ceiling trim, hot tub not cleaned, when i addressed these issues they said management was going to get ahold of me, they did not. For the price of the cabin i thought it would be better

We loved our stay. The food was exquisite. Clearly, a lot of thought went into every detail of the hotel, and making their guests feel comfortable in every possible way.

We stayed in their English Cottage -- it was beautiful, clean, cozy, warm, and wonderful in every way! A beautiful view of the valley was our treat every time we looked out the window! We enjoyed the fireplace giving our stay physical warmth and warmth of heart! The Christmas music piping through our TV was heart-warming, too! The breakfast brought to us each morning at the time we specified was a delicious treat, and the restaurant on the property had food that was to-die-for, in our opinion! This location was about 15 minutes away from downtown Galena, providing for us the quiet of the country at night and close access to shopping and eating during the day! Just all-in-all -- a beautiful, wonderful stay! We were satisfied in every way! Thank you, Goldmoor!

First time here. Beat my expectations, and from the reviews I read, I had high expectations. This would be a good place to come with another couple because there are so many conversation areas that are nearly private. Many nice touches including warming bars for towels. Restaurant on site is a plus.

Great stay was a great experience. They thought of everything in room. Even had ice in bucket waiting! They also have charging stations for electric vehicles

I’m not sure how these owners call themselves innkeepers. They were rude and not involved in helping with my sisters wedding. They did not communicate well with times of events. Clearly not interested in having weddings like it is advertised on their site. The food was mediocre each morning at best. The dinner at the wedding was anything but spectacular…I could have made it at home. Not what I was expecting from a 4 star hotel. Especially for the outrageous prices they charge. If I wanted French toast and waffles for breakfast I would have went to ihop and it probably would have been better. Take your money elsewhere for a wedding and an overnight stay!! Birget and Slobo should be ashamed of themselves!!!

Who enjoys to to be woken in middle of night by freight trains?

Beautiful Inn with breathtaking views of the river. The room was huge and very comfortable. We enjoyed to hot tub overlooking the river while the fireplace was on. The breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed drinks at the bar and they have a 5 star restaurant on site. The owner and staff were very friendly. I highly recommend staying at Goldmoor Inn to make any occasion special.

The Goldmoor was a great place for a couple's getaway. The griunds are well kept and the hotel is well appointed and serene.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The staff was so friendly and the cottage was extremely nice. Clean as well. We enjoyed a couples massage and a great dinner prepared by chef Brandon who is awesome.

Great quite place! Very friendly and accommodating personal! It was very nice to meet and have a pleasant conversations with owners. Restaurant is excellent! Definitely would recommend this property!
