very good, comfortable beds, clean
Entrance and hall ways carpets was very dirty. Gave bad impression while walking t the door. But when getin to the room, room was very clean

For the price of the room, the condition of the property was better than the room. There were only 2 large towels in the bathroom, there was no floor mat or towel for getting out of the shower, the floors were not vacuumed well at all, not only the room but the hallways the same piece of trash was there all 3 days we stayed. When we asked for extra towels, they were in the room when we came back, but the towels had strings hanging from them. Those are the same type of towels I use to dry my truck off with. There was absolutely no water pressure at all. My wife took extra time to rinse her hair out, which naturally no one wants to hear complaining. I put the chair in the middle of the room to see if it would be placed back under the desk when the room was cleaned. When we returned, the chair was still in the middle of the room where I left it. The last day our trash was not even taken out of the room, not that there was a lot, but still how hard is it to take the trash out. To say the least, we will not be staying there again on the next visit to Austin.

I’ve stayed here before as it’s great rates and walkable to things. Unfortunately I had hats in the bathroom which lead to a bite as they were on towels. When reporting to the front desk, she said hmmm and that was kind of it. Again it’s a comfortable place for a budget, but the service is in line with that.

Stayed for an overnight trip. Did not care for the parking, as it was in a sketchy, dark, unsafe underground parking garage 4 stories below the actual hotel. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The breakfast left a lot to be desired. Not good at all.

Started out rocky. Should have been notified of high security deposit BEFORE swiping card! I also thought it was high and a bit ridiculous to have to pay extra for parking. However, very good location and cleanliness was great. Nice spot by the pool to sit as well.

Front desk staff were extremely nice and helpful. I had a long travel day, so I decided to order room service… which was a really weird experience that I wouldn’t recommend. Otherwise great stay!

Overall, a very pleasant stay. The staff was wonderful and responsive, friendly, and nice! Everyone was very clean and large and well lit. There were many areas for sitting and sleeping. The bathroom was perfectly clean and large. The free amenities at the hotel like the breakfast were awesome.

Holiday Inn Indigo is by far the cleanest hotel in Austin. Perfect location to 6th street and Stubbs. The rooms are huge and great views as well.

I was impressed at how clean and neat the lobby and room was. I even enjoyed the use of Dove soaps in the room which I have never used and really liked. The pool was beautiful and the breakfast was great. Didn’t like the paid parking garage, too far down, but overall would definitely recommend for any getaway.

This is an excellent loaction. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to downtown Austin.

We went to a concert at the moody center it was perfect. Also love being right next to down town so we can walk everywhere. Highly recommend it’s a very nice hotel.

Great place to stay if you want to be in walking distance of main attractions, Capital building about 15 mins walk. 6th Street and bars and music 5mins. Hotel is what you'd expect for its level. But staff were helpful and the whole place was spotless. Plenty of dining options within walking distance.
Austin does have a homeless problem and dodging them is near impossible. But what major city doesn't, didn't encounter any problems with them. Very young crowd mainly, but still fun for the over 40s.

We had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn in Austin! The hotel was very clean and fresh, the staff were lovely and responsive, the pool area was tidy and in good shape, and it was a better continental breakfast than a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in.
In regards to other reviews noting it—yes, the area of town where this hotel is has a notable homeless population. Nobody bothered us at all while walking to and from, and we never felt in any way unsafe. If you are generally afraid of homeless people, maybe you won’t like it here (or in downtown Austin in general) but typically if you respect others they will respect you. It was not an issue for us.

Tub/shower didn't work properly. TV remote was sticky. Too many valet parking floors with minimal use that I had to drive through before I was able to park. Sausage included with breakfast was rubbery, tough, and tasted awful.

Check-in was super easy and the staff were kind. They upgraded our room to a suite free of charge. The hotel was very affordable and convenient to the show at Stubb's Amphitheater we were attending that night!

Near everything. Nice, friendly staff. Clean facility. Good breakfast, but you better be on time. They shut it down, fast. The hotel wouldn't accept my reservation from a Third Party, twice. It got turned down for no reason. The hotel rate was considerably higher than with a Third Party booking, but it would not accept it. Eventually, it did from another booking agency, but I'd rather not used that one. 30 bucks for parking, ouch.

Hotel is fairly conveniently located, although vicinity does not feel safe, especially at night. Not a lot of street parking but hotel has own multistory parking attached to the building. Staff is great, very helpful. Breakfast is included in the stay, nice lunch room with lots of space and cool layout. Amazing pool with stunning view of downtown skyline. Unfortunately Poolside bar was closed all the time and no restaurant at the hotel or nearby. Our room was spacious but not very clean and required some upgrades, bathtub was a disaster all scratched with paint coming off all over the place. Room had fridge, stove and big microwave which was definitely a big plus.
