This property is wonderful. People are very nice. Place is spotless. So convenient.

Just feel in love with the place. We’re locals just north of there and just wanted an overnighter on the beach. It was perfect. We can’t wait to return. Cheers!

Adorable ocean front vintage building with lovely updated rooms. Property and rooms were very clean and well maintained. Rooms have beautiful ocean view. Patios lead to a grassy area with chairs and umbrellas and a shower and then right to the beach. We will be back for sure.

This was such a quaint, nice motel. So well decorated, the ease of checking in, and so beautiful. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

This little 5 room motel is a GEM!!!! Walk out your back door and you are footsteps from the beach. You park your car out frt and don't need it at all. Everything is a short walk...shops... restaurants...and bars....the room was SPOTLESS and cozy and comfortable. Can't wait to stay again...we had room #1 which had a walkin shower. There is only 5 rooms so it's a nice private place.you can sit outside your room and out back on comfortable lounge chairs with umbrellas. If I rate this 10 stars I would.

I can’t say enough about The Salty Mermaid. It was a little slice of paradise. I went there to relax, be alone and find peace after a series of personal tragedies. I couldn’t have picked a better place. I will be going back. The golf cart rentals really add to the experience as well as the innumerable thoughtful amenities.

The Salty Mermaid is a unique hotel right in the heart of new smyrna. Comfortable beds, clean and within walking distance to all all the shops and restaurants. They also have golf carts for rent so you don’t need to go far if you need to rent one. Nice people!

Very nice, beautiful, right on the beach, and super close to restaurants and shopping . Great place to stay.

It doesn’t look like much but it is a nice little place with only 5 rooms. The only downfall is that there is no pool but it is right in the beach with access out the sliding doors. The place is very clean (and I am fussy), the room is very cool with great AC. The shower has good pressure and plenty of hot water and the towels are nice and thick. We had a little mishap with checkin when they told us the room would be ready in 30 min and I’d get a call when it was ready but when we returned no one was there as we sat melting in the heat for someone to return. We were rescued by another guest who happened to have the owners phone number. We called all the numbers we had and even texted with no response. Other than that, our stay was very enjoyable and they do add many comforts like cold water and other drinks in the fridge, beach chairs and towels, lounge chairs in the back yard. I recommend!

Everything was perfect with the exception of the bed, it desperately needs to be replaced!

Amazing place. On the beach. Rooms have all you need. Hotel has 5 rooms and there are two chairs and umbrella for each. Coffee, water and pops are free. Plenty of towels. Not luxury hotel but all what you really need and on right spot. Will recommend to everyone.

What an amazing 2 days! The weather was perfect! The atmosphere was delightful. Lots to do or just relax by the ocean. We will definitely return. The hotel was perfect.

Beautiful view

I'm a local-ish Floridian who traveled here for a weekend at the beach. The rooms are really big, super clean, and the king bed and pillows are so comfortable. I love the chaise lounge chairs right outside so you can get a tan and relax with a drink and look at the ocean and not have to fight for a spot on the beach. The staff were incredibly nice, friendly, and very accommodating. This hotel is in walking distance to anywhere you'd want to go, but you can rent bikes and golf carts if you want. I absolutely loved it here and will return next beach trip.

Good stay. Friendly staff and great location. Hidden gem and beautiful comfortable room. Water pressure could have been better but we had a great time during our stay!

Location was great. Room was nice. The add on of taxes was unexpected. Expedia says $149. Than turns into $172 something after tax, which is fine. Be prepared for that to turn into $194 something at the property after more tax....

This adorable place has just 5 rooms that are directly in the beach. The rooms come equipped with a fridge, coffee maker and microwave. They have plenty of lounge chairs for soaking up the sun on the back lawn and beach chairs if you prefer the sand. This place is adorable!

Super cool hotel. The beach is right there and it is only a few steps away. Beautiful view. Very clean and friendly staff. Will be back!

The Salty Mermaid was an excellent location, lovely decor , wonderful bathroom, comfortable beds. My favorite was the lounge chairs and umbrellas with an exceptional water view and sunrises. I came here in the 70’s twice. Same fabulous experience. Thank you. Sandy D.

Being able to step out the door to your own patio then to a chaise pad then onto the beach was wonderful. Cozy, close to everything.

Absolutely love this place! Just open your glass door and there is the ocean! Room has been renovated and is so cute! We will definitely be back.

Great stay, very clean. Mattresses were perfect. Easy access to beach. Beach chairs and towels were a plus.

Great little property with private beach access. We have stayed twice in the past year. It is very convenient to shopping and dining. The Canaveral National Seashore and Apollo Beach are within a 15 min drive. Rooms are quiet and well furnished/decorated. Our only suggestion is to increase bathroom counter space or add a makeup table.
