Great hostel for location and cleanliness, but it’s quite big and doesn’t have a social area. I found it hard to meet other travelers.

Good location. I’ve been traveling a lot but this is one of the best hostels I’ve ever been too, it seems more like a hotel really. It’s modern and fancy, has a nice pool, nice big and comfortable beds and really nice showers and toilets! Very clean also. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend others to do so too!

The hostel is wonderful, very clean with modern furniture. The staff is very responsive and helpful. We've got great recommendations for things to do and place to eat in Chania. The trips around the island that they offered were amazing and at a good price. Also the location of the hostel is very convenient - very close to the main bus station and also at a walking distance to the old town. It may be a problem for some light-sleepers as the hostel is located on a main street and it's quite noisy from the scooters so better take earplugs.

Good hostel (we got the private room with shared bathroom) close to bus station so not most beautiful street but walking distance to everything worth seeing, no elevator or automatic entrance doors so not the most convenient if carrying suitcases but staff are helpful and I think backpackers enjoy their stay there

The hostel is beautiful, clean and the location is great - close to the city center, bus station and so on. They also have a nice way to integrate the travelers through a WhatsApp group! My only complaint goes to the girls bathroom on the first floor: there’s a bad smell coming from the pipes that should definitely be fixed.

Staying in Cocoon was great experience. The staff is helpful and kind, the kitchen has everything you need, there's nice library and common area and the rooms were well heated for colder periods in January. The only minus was somewhat noisy streets down below but there's not much you can do about it.

This a gem of a place and a must - stop for anyone travelling to Chania. It has great service, rooms are very clean and -it is fabulous. It is easy to walk to the old port, the city center, and much more. I hope to return soon. Thank you !!

Peter, owner was aggressive and vainly pressured me to claim a refund from the shop I purchased luggage from after the inadequate locker in my dormitory ripped my new case because it is has sharp fixtures. He claimed his family business would eat out of their profits to recompense me back £30 then threw me out when I refused a goodwill breakfast!He became aggressive and wouldve resorted to violence if another witness wasnt around. He also wouldnt address my asthmatic condition when overnight I suffered passive smoking due to atmospheric ingestion from poor ventilated room despite roommates smoking on balcony. I suffered serious respiration that required keeping the French door open but that allowed loud street noise causing complaints which Peter callously focused on. It was all about money!

They have a dishwasher. Soap and paper towels in bathrooms. Clean.

Yes, I liked this place very much. The workers were so very kind. I arrived late after shops were closed and I am fruitarian. I wanted fruit but there was none. The man there sold me some of the fruit he was saving for breakfast. I was so hungry! Also, when I left, I forgot a toiletry item , very important to me. They saved it for me and I was able to go get it. Very grateful. Helpful with instructions . Mine was a shared dorm. Very clean . Very quiet. With a nice sunny balcony w/ palm trees. There were books . I love books! And it was one block down from an organic/bio market - super important for me. 2 blocks from bus station. on a busy street with all types of shops. I will stay here again.

Cocoon City (never did figure out the weird name) is near the interurban bus terminal in Chania and a few blocks from the main local bus area and the main tourist area. It is really clean and well organized. Beds were comfortable (I had the 4/room option). Clean bedding provided, towel rental 4 euros. Air conditioning a bit weak. Main issue was a room above a noisy road, under normal conditions I might have had an issue with sleeping due to noise but was very tired so it was OK. Staff was very friendly although check-in for some reason rather slow.

Modern, cozy hostel right in the center of town; only a short walk from the bus station and to Old Town. Large common space, fully equipped kitchen, and multiple showers & toilets are all spotless clean. Each bed has its own light and socket, and the owner & staffs are very friendly & helpful. This is one of the best hostels Ive stayed during my 6 months trip!
