We've previously stayed at this hotel and at other Staybridge Suites, and this hotel didn't meet my expectations for the brand. The room wasn't properly cleaned (trash under sofa and in closet), they kept running out of food at breakfast, breakfast area wasn't kept clean, they didn't have enough trash bags on hand, and the in-room kitchen wasn't properly equipped. On the positive side, the staff was friendly, a squeaky door was promptly fixed, and they had a nice selection of children's books in the guest library. Not eco-friendly as there was no recycling on-site and breakfast service had single use plastic flatware. My read is that they are trying to have some cost cutting measures at the expense of the guest experience and keeping up with brand standards.

Very nice place to stay. Great location for us as near to family less than 5 minutes away. Very clean. Really good breakfast selection which was free. Also free dinner on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesdays. Coffee available 24/7 in restaurant area. Kitchen well equipped with hob, microwave oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher.

It never happened. I received a call that evening canceling the reservation because they accepted too many reservations and were overbooked.

Charged us even though we told them we needed to change the day, which we did ( my uncle died and I was there with my parents) and instead of switching charged us twice. Asked if we could use the night, instead of a refund, on our way home and they stated no!

The facility and room were clean and nicely furnished. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable about the area. Continental breakfast was above par for area hotels.

Amazing. 100% would come here again and will definitely be on the lookout for IHG Hotels moving forward. Very clean facilities and rooms, great breakfast, nice gym and pool. Staff members were kind and respectful! Needed a room to stay overnight last minute and was more than pleasantly surprised with this hotel!!! Highly recommend!

Highly disappointed with this trip. Stayed here a few years ago and it was great. This trip really showed how far it has declined. Our room was late being ready which was ok. But when we came back and checked in, the room stunk and we found a huge puddle of pee on the floor in the bathroom. Wondering if the room had even been cleaned. We were moved to another room and that one seemed clean. However, we didn’t have a shower curtain, the soaps were all out and the tv only had an antenna (bedroom tv had more channels but stopped working mid stay and we had to call about that too). Disappointed in the upkeep at this hotel. Front desk staff very friendly and kept trying to make it right. Not their fault. But for the price we paid, I felt very disappointed. Unfortunately we probably won’t stay here again when we come to town.

Arrived during the CrowdStrike tech outage. The staff was very organized and supportive about getting people in their rooms even though they couldn’t issue keys. The entire time we were there everyone we interacted with was professional and customer focused.
I’ve stayed here before and my only complaint is that the showers have very mediocre water pressure. That matters to someone with thick hair and will be a consideration when I book my next trip to the area.

Overall the hotel seems nice and clean. It seems safe and the staff are very friendly. I am glad I stayed here. There were just a couple of small things that bothered me. Kitchen cabinets seemed dirty on some of the higher ones on the outside, making me feel like it wasn’t clean. There wasn’t one garbage can in the room. Nothing in the bathroom, nothing. We are using a shopping bag as a make shift can.
These things are not make or break. I would stay again.

We stayed 3 nights. The first 2 nights were great. The room was comfortable and roomy. The breakfast had a reasonable selection of food; but it was not replenished very quickly so some food was not available the later it was. The reason for 4 stars is the third night there was a major storm and the electricity went out from 9:30 pm until we left the following day. We are both in our 70’s. There were no lights, no hot water, TV, WiFi, fridge or microwave. Also no elevator, and we carried our luggage down 4 flights of stairs. There was also no breakfast. It would have been nice if we were compensated in some way.

Check-in was slow, and front desk was not informative or friendly. Bathroom was dusty/grimey in corners, bathtub, and the door. The bathroom door was very squeaky, and the light from the bathroom made it hard for those that wanted to sleep in.
Bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. 👍 for the waffles.

The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is right in between Charlottesville and Shenandoah National Park.

Among the worst hotels I have stayed in. At times no one employed by the hotel at the front desk, no one to answer phone. In the 3 nights we stayed our room was not serviced even once despite repeated complaints. Such a shame. It’s a fairly new facility completely ruined by bad management.
