I seldom write reviews, but the Britannia Hotel is truly a genuine 5 star hotel. The architecture, design, service, level of comfort and food are all incredible. I only had breakfast but it was the best breakfast (food and service) that I have ever had (including at a Four Seasons). I am a foodie and frequent international traveler. If you visit Trondheim and your budget permits, I recommend this hotel unreservedly.

This was easily one of the best parts of our entire Norwegian trip. The food, concierge, front desk, and ballroom personnel were top-notch. They were friendly, informed, capable, and accommodating in every interaction. We felt welcome at every turn, they did their best to ensure a fantastic experience even though we only had one night to stay there. The rooms were very clean, but they do lack accessible power outlets, which is genuinely the only complaint we had about the stay. Well designed bathroom, TV-in-mirror, light controls, and entry way.

Very large property and completely renovated. Large pillows nice decorative piece but useless to sleep over as too hard and oversized. Lighting schematic a little too complicated (part of renovation) I’m guessing and could not figure out how to switch off bathroom lights.

The Britannia was hands down our best hotel stay in Norway and definitely in the top of the hotels we’ve stayed in. The food was delicious, the staff were beyond amazing, and the wine bar is probably one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. It’s conveniently located to shops and restaurants. If you find yourself in Trondheim? I 10/10 recommend staying at the Britannia!

We loved our stay at the Brittania and felt very pampered! We spent the afternoon at the beautiful spa, walked around the city a bit, and had a nightcap at the hotel bar. We also enjoyed one of the best breakfast buffets that we had on our entire trip. The room was quiet and very comfortable. Very much looking forward to our next visit!

In 50 years of traveling this is the nicest, friendliest, cleanest, and most pleasant hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The Britannia is a vacation in itself. And to top it off, a fabulous breakfast.

We loved our stay at Britannia. The staff, from the Concierges, Front desk staff, waitstaff in the Bar were very friendly, helpful and efficient. (Let’s not forget housekeeping). Hotel is also within walking distance of some of the major attractions.

Britannia hotel really stands up to it’s vision. 5 stars and member of leading hotels of the world.
The 3(!) restaurants in the hotel, are all in premium quality. Rooms are without remarks, and clean to perfection.
The spa is amazing, with every sauna and pool thinkable.
Staff are one of a kind, with amazing knowledge and experience.
Tip: try the Britannia bar! The staff have outstanding knowledge of both drinks on the menu, but also outside of the menu. Fun stories about the drinks also follows.
Would really recommend, it’s worth the prices!

This hotel is beyond the expectations. The luxury, comfort, spa, dining options, breakfast is a pure indulgence. Beautifully decorated, heated marble floors in bathrooms, excellent quality of bedding. Fantastic location, easy to walk everywhere! We certainly will be back. We did not even want to leave the hotel during the day due to being so nice and comfortable to stay at.

We would like to thank the Britannia staff for making sure our stay was the best it could be. The attention to details in terms of service and hospitality really made us feel special. we had a deluxe room for 2 nights with breakfast included & we can not fault anything about these. The room was spacious & beautifully furnished with high quality pieces. The breakfast catered for all dietary requirements. The location was ideal. We cannot recommend this hotel more highly.

Very good experience at the hotel. We had dinner at Speilhallen which was extraordinary . Bar and wine bar at hotel are of top quality. You can experience everything at the hotel.

Wonderfully luxurious yet welcoming to casual travelers! We enjoyed a much too short stay - the breakfast was by far the best on our trip. Special thanks to the valet service and everyone who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.
