What a lovely experience! Luis arranged the best tours for us. Gave helpful dining recommendations. Everything was within walking distance. Great with teenagers always looking for something to do or eat. The staff were kind, and helpful to my entire family that booked 3 rooms for 4 days. The only thing that could improve was the dining. Breakfast selections in the included breakfast were not great, and honestly we preferred to leave and eat elsewhere or just eat a granola bar instead. After staying at the Four Seasons in April this location is much better, service on par but food selections are weak in comparison.

I had such a wonderful experience at The Alest hotel. The staff was so kind and attentive. The room was always clean and stocked. They had great robes (I love hotels with robes). I’ve stayed at other hotels in Mexico City, but The Alest is easily the best one. I’m definitely staying here on my next visit!

Amazing hotel and location, staff was fantastic. Room was great, just a little unexpected because it had no exterior view so request a room with one. Great breakfast and mini-bar that are all included, would stay again!

This hotel is amazing, is the first time we stayed here and we will do it again soon. Service is excellent and the staff is super friendly and nice. We loved staying here.

All was great until I got to my room at night and it was not cleaned. Receptionist was not able to help given it was late. I’m staying in the hotel again this weekend and I have mixed feelings given this experience. I would have probably cancelled it, if I had time to look for an alternative and the cancellation fee was not applicable.

This is truly the most amazing hotel we have ever stayed in. Would give 10 stars if possible. The care and details put into every aspect is unmatched. I have stayed at many luxury hotels and this beats them all. (Also most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in) Thank you again and we will absolutely return!

We have stayed at many hotels in Mexico City including the Four Seasons, the St. Regis and the J.W. Marriott. All are beautiful hotels but are large and impersonal. The Alest feels like home. It is is beautifully appointed and comfortable. It is right in the heart of Polanco, an easy walk from the best restaurants and bars but on a very quiet street so one step removed from the hustle and bustle. What really sets the Alest apart though is the staff. They really want you to feel at home and they strive to accommodate your every need. Victor is incredible. He learned my wife’s and my name and the first day and greeted us by name every time we saw him the rest of our trip. Much has been written about the beautiful design of the hotel and it is beautiful but the ambiance created by the staff is what makes it truly remarkable.

Everything is great. Only issues are general noise in the hotel as well as staff service. Half are amazing and half aren’t.

The hospitality staff to the cozy vibes and the modern layout, to the products provided… Everything at this hotel was a 10/10. Thank you, Victor and EVERYONE! We felt safe and happy amongst the center of Polanco!

Im afraid to even write this review..this is a hidden gem I want to keep to myself lol: This HAS to be the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed around the world. I would think I was in Paris for €700 a night. The location, the staff, the beauty of this place is 5 star. Every detail thought of. I WILL be back just for this hotel alone. Victor in the lobby was an amazing host.

This is an amazing boutique hotel. central in Mexico City. the staff is super nice. plenty of team members to assist. the beds are not firm my back (not usually bad) hurt after four nights. and the lobby lounge open to a courtyard for many of the rooms so if you have people drinking it feels like they are in the room with you. noise canceling headphones :) the rooms are beautiful and bathrooms amazing.

We loved staying at the Alest but it was a bit noisy one night because the interior garden carries the noise to the bedroom. Also, a little minus as they charged us the remaining of the amount due in MX pesos and used an exchange rate of 20, which made the difference in total of US$80.
