The main issue was there were a lot of bugs. We found a few cockroaches (alive and dead), and spiders inside the house during our stay, and there were several more roaches inside the garage which was unsettling to try and do laundry. The next issue is there is a very strong mildew/mold odor from the washing machine which carries over into the dryer and made anything we washed smell funky. There also appears to be something wrong with the refrigerator, about every 2-3 hours (I think when the compressor turns off) it makes a very loud shaking/shuddering sound which took us several days to finally figure identify, and was very unsettling because it sounded almost exactly like someone trying to pull open the sliding door really hard, and woke us up several times. I have rented many properties and have never left a bad review. This was a stand out for the named issues above, and I contacted the owner regarding these issues before posting this review, and waited several days without a response. The inside of the house looks nice with the remodeling, but the outside of the house and neighborhood are rather unwelcoming and there are plenty of other properties nearby for around the same cost.

Good property. Especially appreciated the hot tub & TVs. More than a little disappointed with the over grown weeds (front yard, back yard ( & way overgrown side yard). Luckily that was mostly hidden behind a fence. The reason it got a *** on accuracy of online listing as we were switched to a different property. Luckily the new location was close enough to our destinations.

We visited family while we stayed here and the location was just off the 80 freeway convenient to stores, restaurants, downtown and old town. The house was clean and beds were comfortable. Easy access too. Check in time was a little late, but we went site seeing until 5. The neighborhood was quiet. The backyard was perfect for our 4 year old granddaughter to hunt for Easter eggs since we stayed over during Easter weekend. We would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

We enjoyed our stay here. The location was very convenient and the home was roomy, plenty of space to spread out as a family. It also came with a well-stocked kitchen, that saved us time preparing meals. Hosts communicated well, and house rules were easy to follow.

Clean and nice

I stayed here in mid-August with my two middle school aged children and this house suited us perfectly for what we needed. The property overall was very clean, spacious, comfortable and nicely updated inside, in a contemporary style. This appears to be a newly renovated home that was probably just recently established as a rental property, which explains why there aren’t a lot of other reviews yet. The kitchen was well-stocked without being overly cluttered, and it also had new, pretty cabinets and countertops, etc. The property is not in the fanciest part of town, but the residential street itself felt safe enough and was fairly quiet, but still had a few neighbors out and about exercising, etc, which was nice. It’s also very easy to get on I-80 from this property and it is centrally located to a variety of other Sacramento areas too. When I had first gotten the exact address of the property after booking and just a few days before check-in, I was feeling slightly worried when I finally saw a photo of the outside because at the time we stayed there, the front yard landscaping had not been renovated yet and it was just a dead lawn with a chain link fence around it. However, once we got there and saw it in person, I felt much better and quickly realized that they must have put most of their effort initially into renovating the inside, which is actually the more important part, because that’s where you spend most of your time when you’re there. *** NOTE: There are a couple of important corrections, however, that need to be made in the property listing. The property was advertised as having a washer/dryer, but there was actually not any washer/dryer there that guests have access to. We were only staying here for a couple nights so this wasn’t a problem for us, but if you are counting on being able to do laundry, you should verify with the hosts as to whether they have added a washer/dryer. Also this had been advertised as a “gated home” which I had initially assumed to mean that it was located in a gated community, but it should be clarified that this is not in a gated community at all- it is a regular residential street. I will add that the hosts were very friendly and very responsive to messages- they seemed to really want to make it a great stay! Overall, I would definitely recommend this property as a clean, modern comfortable place for a small group of people to spread out a bit and be centrally located.
