Nice quiet property. Staff was friendly.
The road into the hotel was very rough, not unusual for this area though.

We booked it last minute and were pleasantly surprised. The cabin was nice and it was relaxing. The staff was lovely, and good restaurant. I recommend the ceviche it was delicious. We were able to buy a bottle of wine at the restaurant and enjoy it on the patio of the cabin.
Thin wall, you can hear the neighbor but it was still fine. Great value for money.

The staff were great. Loved the property and location.
Walls in our villa were very thin. Could hear everything our neighbor was doing and saying. Luckily, we weren't in our villa much except to sleep.

Comfortable clean rooms, nice gardens, close to volcan tornio and rio Celeste. Beautiful Lagoon to swim and relax 15 minutes walk ($5).
Walls very thin can hear neighbours.

The nature, the private trail they have to a swimmimg area of the river. The water is so blue. The proximity to the National Park entrance and of course the staff/family/Parrot. The food is also good! The garden is full of birds. A great place I would 100% visit again

We got in kind of late but there was a lot of helpful signage along the route to direct us to the cabin. The rooms were spacious cabins with a private bathroom. The staff was very accomodating to our arrival time and we got some dinner in before they wrapped up for the night. Beds were comfy and the room was very cozy with screens on the windows to protect from mosquitos. The owner's father has a piece of land up the street with access to a private part of rio celeste for $5 (discounted for hotel guests). It's a serious hike but it's well worth it for the private river experience. We were the only ones there for most of the time we swam. when we got back from swimming, we were greeted by the resident parrot "Francis" who speaks a little spanish and a little chicken (haha). he whistled us over and made some cooing noises too. A very friendly and beautiful bird. :) Great place and great owner. They don't speak too much english so bring your spanish lessons! Best kind of shower head heaters here; the ones that turn the water hot as it flows through. Love it!!
honestly, I can't think of anything, this place was excellent

We stayed at Posada Rio Celeste after a first week down at Montezuma. First thing the drive from Gulf de Nicoya up to Bijagua & then on to Posada Rio Celeste was fantastic. We expected a nightmare slog for 4/5 hours along poor roads behind crawling trucks. But this wasn't the case. For this route the roads were good and traffic was low. The Hotel is in a great location only a very short drive (5-10 minutes) from Tenorio National Park.
The hotel does have an on-site restaurant which serves the classic Costa Rica national dishes (Gallo Pinto etc. etc). For dinner options there is another restaurant 50m away plus other options a short drive away. (much less than the 40mins as stated on the booking.com site) - But to be honest the food for lunch/dinner is good and reasonably priced at the hotel restaurant. I recommend the Tilapia Fish option. Breakfast is NOT included and to be honest @ $7 is slightly expensive. We ended up heading down to the restaurants outside the Tenorio National Park for cheaper but similar breakfasts.
The staff are excellent and to be honest could not be more friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to help with advice and trip bookings. (e.g. Tubing) The grounds & gardens are lovely with the luscious Costa Rica tropical vegetation abundant. If you like horse riding there is a stable a couple of doors down from which you can take a ride.
There is access to the River Celeste where you can take a swim in the river and also use a Tarzan swing. This isn't really private access exclusive to the hotel. It is a short walk from the hotel to the entrance where entry is $6 / person every time you visit. Guests / tourists from anywhere can take this route. But this is well worth a visit. The Tarzan swing is great if you have kids and is epic.
Be aware that the rooms are basic. A hot shower should be OK but was not a guarantee plus the rooms are wood cabins and when adjoining another room the walls are thin.

The posada is beautifully located in a peaceful, green oasis. It is 1 km from the entrance to Tenorio Volcano National Parc end 60 km from Arenal Volcano and La Fortuna. Please visit the Rio Celeste natural pool, the tickets are available at the posada. The food served by the on-site restaurant was very good, both breakfasts and suppers.
Nothing much to improve. The staff speaks only Spanish, so it is good to know some language, or have Google translator at hand. There is no hot water.

This place was the cutest, it is a family business, the 2 sisters were super sweet, and their food is really delicious. They are welcoming and heartwarming.
The road (around 500 mt) to get to the place is unpaved and very rocky.

- Good breakfast
- very friendly staff
- good location in between the National Park and the private entrance to Rio Celeste
- very thin walls, we could hear our neighbors almost as if we had been in the same room

Although the rough access road was a little off-putting, the stay at the Posada was worth it. It had a lovely peaceful, rural location well located between the National Parks of Volcan Tenerio and Volcan Rincon. The staff were very welcoming and the dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable; very reasonably priced. The accommodation was in small wooden huts but there was both air con. and netted windows which provided lovely, fresh mountain air.
The hut was a tight fit for three people but fine for one night.

Very cosy place, we were welcomed by a warm family and a funny parrot. Delicious food in an outdoor space surrounded by birds. loved it!

The food was so good, the room was perfect size for me and the property was amazing! A cute set up and cozy feeling!
My stay was fabulous and the whole staff was so patient with me and my little Spanish skills. I loved it and I will return (with more Spanish skills next time!) Oh, maybe just a little loud in the morning. I was room number 1 so I was right near the entrance and the restaurant. I was still able to have a great sleep nonetheless!

Great budget wise stay meters from Tenorio Volcano National Park, the posada has access to its own natural pool, hiking trail, and even a Tarzan swing. We had a blast on this trail!
